I heard that he actually tossed HIMSELF into a vat of acid in order to prepare for the roll, but that it just made him really sad and tired.

But seriously, people say that I'm a dick for thinking that it's good that the shooting for batman got finished before he Heath died. But he was supposed to be amazing at the role of the Joker. It's good that they didn't have to trash the footage they had of him because he died before they could shoot the end.
