So so far I have noticed that although there seem to be an okay amount of Michigan nerfers in the Metro-Detroit area, no wars really take place. The only wars I've seen this year were the Bowling Green wars in Ohio. This thread is to brainstorm dates that work and possible war sites for a possible war this year (2014). Last year, LinkMT hosted M.a.a.N (Michiganders are always nerfing) in the Plymouth area, which could work as a possible war site again. If anyone would like to contribute to the ideas, feel free to either post here or PM me. So far there are nerfers in Royal Oak (southpaw), Plymouth (LinkMT), Birmingham (Spencerak), Troy (C-A 99), and Detroit (Darkdragon). So far I have found a few possible areas such as Maybury State Park (http://goo.gl/6wf3qd), Plymouth Township Park (http://goo.gl/GCceyo), or ITC Community Park (http://goo.gl/PH3ZgJ). Lets see if we can get a war in before the end of August!

I would like to have one in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area, but never got a whole lot of people interested. I would be willing to drive to a MI war.

I wouldn't be able to go until after August 9th and would need around a 10 day notice (other than august 10th I already have that day off) to get work off as well as prepare.

My schedule:

July 26 Evening: ReCoN. (Effeminateally awesome indoor Nerf war in Toledo.)

August 2nd Weekend: Possible road trip for Apoc.

August 16th Weekend: Pandemonium (WaterWar.net event in CT).

August 22nd Evening: ReCoN.

I work full-time M-F until 4:30pm.

Should be free otherwise. I'm free tomorrow and on weekend of August 9th. I can also talk to the host of the ReCoN wars about getting information out to NH about them. They've been well worth every droplet of gas I've burned so far getting there and back.

As for locations, I've played at Sports Park before at a water war. We only used the playground, which, while it's a large playground, is still a small playing space in general, albeit with somewhat decent cover. I like the look of Maybury park though, and I'm willing to loose darts over it.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of equipment does everyone have? I'm well equipped for stock/HvZ type of games, and moderately equipped for slug-based wars. (A few UMB's, a Zerker, and working on an AT3k.)

i wouldnt mind going to a war in bg or near detroit i live in toledo and have bean looking for some wars to go to and since toledo seems to be right in the middle of all of you guys i could easily go to one of the wars if you host one

sorry i posted it twice but anyways even though its august now idk if you hosted one and if you did i don't think anyone wouldn't want to go to another and if the opposite thats cool i wouldnt mind going on a future date.
