I found this blaster at the local thrift store today. All I know about it is that it's made by Tomy, and was produced around 1992. That's all that's printed on it.

It's an electric flywheel type blaster with a simple gravity fed box clip. The clip has a follower to help feed the darts.

The blaster has a surprising heft and feels incredibly solid. The plastic is very thick and heavy, and ever so slightly pliable in feel, if that makes any sense.

I haven't tried it out yet, but I think this will be able to load and fire stefans/slugs with no modification. The battery compartment was thankfully empty, and completely free of corrosion. :)

It would appear the blaster has an electrical fault. I put batteries in and it did nothing. Sooooo, I'm gonna open 'er up and fix it. You'll get internal shots too! :)

I don't think I've seen it before, but it pretty much has to be from the same line as these.

Cool find, I wonder how many kinds they made.

Got the flywheels turning, turns out I was stupid and missed the part about needing the switch on AND the clip in in order for it to power up. Seems this thing ought to be firing megas. I'll need to make some.

EDIT: and even if it has weak performance (which I suspect will be the case even with megas) you gotta love the styling. :)

The blaster is made by Tyco, not Tomy. It is a glow in the dark fly wheel blaster I think, I believe Just Some Bob has a pic of a NIB one.

My mistake, I meant Tyco. Anyway, this thing most definitely does not glow in the dark. Sadly, as that would be awesome. :)

I used to have that thing! Can't remember the name, but it fired these soft yellow foam "bullets" with a bit of weight in the end of them. Uses a flywheel system.

I found it again. Apparently they're STILL making them in China, or perhaps there are just warehouses full of them from all the way back to '92? I think it's probably just some toy company got the old molds and kept making them.

I don't know if it was originally called the "Super Stick Shot." But who really knows?

EDIT: From that I was able to find this:

Which is obviously of the same line.

The blue one shown in the OP used those same bullets but they did not have the sticky thing on the front. So similar but wasn't quite the same.
