Here's the email I got.

Hi ######!

Hope you’ve been doing well. J We shared a little information on the new N-Strike Barricade RV-10 blaster yesterday on the FB page, but wanted to give you all the details as well as the official image, in case you’d like to post on NerfHaven. We plan on posting this image to Facebook later today. The Barricade blaster has already been spotted on shelves around the world, but US fans should keep a lookout – it will be hitting shelves around the country before the end of the year.

NERF N-STRIKE BARRICADE RV-10 Blaster

· Motorized, semi-automatic Nerf blaster

· Revolving barrel

· Holds up to 10 sonic whistle darts

· Compatible with the Tactical Rail System and alternate N-Strike stocks.

· Will be available at most major retailers nationwide and HasbroToyShop.com

Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks!

Finally it is official! But I'm not sure if I'm gonna get it, I can already see myself hating the noise.

Finally, a motorized nerf pistol! It looks like a vulcan.

I'll buy it without a doubt. It's quite similar to a project I'm working on involving an Arduino and a stepper motor. A little inspiration can't hurt. I can see this being a good HvZ gun too.

It does resemble a vulcan, but in pistol form.

Does anybody remember what price these were selling for internationally? I know the Nerf branding goes a long way, but I still think it will have trouble competing with the Ultimate Tommy 12.

Although noise is still a factor, flywheel blasters have definitely seen some big improvements this fall. It'll be interesting to see what the Nerf one is like.

I should be receiving a international price and store where it's being stocked.

Wasn't NH told that we would be the first place to debut nerf news, even before fb? what happened there? We're living up to our end of the deal as far as Im seeing, am I wrong?
Oh yeah, and cool blaster for a flywheel gun.
EDIT: I can't read- the email says we plan on posting this on fb later today. nevermind.

Officially, we get all the info. FB only got the image, and told the noobs to keep their eyes peeled.

This blaster is already available in stores in Australia. It's semi-automatic and the voltage can be upped to 11volt. At 12volt, however, there seems to be a shut off switch IN the motor (I was a t a mod party where these were going around). This blaster gets about the same range as a well modified maverick. Here it retails for about 35AUD which is pretty close to USD because your economy sucks... I believe it also has flywheels that run vertically not horizontally. Only for use with suctions and screamers, you'll have to put e-tape on those wheels for use with streamlines and stefans.

Thanks,

Hamish

Time for some math...

2 Barricades + momentary switches in the handles + indoor war = Happy Ambience 327

Finally something that can out-perform my Mavs as dual-wielded blasters. 10 semi-auto shots beat out 6 prime & fire shots any day. The momentary switches, if I can get them working right, will be awesome as I will just need to squeeze my hands tighter (tripping the switches) just before firing - meaning little effect on my stealthy approach before unleashing my foamy surprise!

I certainly hope it's not 35 USD. Seems ridiculously expensive for that.

Hopefully it's more like 20-25 USD.

Especially if I linked the laser sights to the momentary switches... Thanks for the idea Brit! As if the sudden whirring of the motors wasn't enough to scare the teens in the darkened church halls. The sudden appearance of a red dot on their chest to accompany it should really throw them into a panic!

This is a pretty good idea. Hopefully I could get two barricades by the time I can go to an indoor war. It would just pound on people.

Wow, $17 is a much better price than I expected. Probably will pick up 1-2 of these when they hit stores.

Also, the momentary switch thing has been done: http://nerfsg.freefo...uide-t1945.html

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the motorized guns, they always manage to have spectacular jams. But if you can make it a manual prime and fire, then it could be the maverick's cooler older brother that's much easier to reload.

...not sure why you would put a stock on a pistol though

well i'm expecting it to be about the same size as a recon, so if the stock makes sense there, it should, in theory, make sense as well here.
