This is my slightly modified BuzzBee Rangemaster.

Posted Image

I wanted her to look like a old WW Rifle.
And this is as close to it as i could manage it.

And i had an old original shaft siting in my basement for years.

Still she has no name yet!

Takes 2 elites, koosh or streamlines, or 6 shortened elites or stefans.
Range is about 25m.

I removed the AR and rebarreled it with 22cm 17/32 Brass.
The Inlinemag is 20mm PVC (inside diameter), about 2 1/2 elites long
The blow-off valve is still working.

The biggest paininthea** was the triggermechanism.
If the system is "open" to pump, the trigger doesn't grip.
When the system is locked it works.

It is a classical Style > Function Mod and we don't need orange barrels over here, although i wouldn't run around on the streets with it!

Gut the electronics, drill a hole in the shell, and attach a crank to the gear. Bam, crank-action stampede that doesn't require batteries, or even a trigger.

...(also judging by your past posts, I would consider you pretty dang wise elder like in the modding community  )

Mods: added spacer to the spring for better compression and pulled out the AR system, plugging up the lower barrel to single the blaster. Considering I was barely getting 25 feet of range out of the lower barrel, it's not much of a loss.

Very basic old-school mod, but still a pretty effective one.

Posted Image

The base coat is a black Rust-Oleum enamel. the purple on the blaster is a Citadel Liche Purple, and the dry brushing is a Citadel Adeptus Battlegrey.

Pretty simple mods, spring upgrade, and AR removal. Hitting about fifty feet flat.

Sup guys,

It's good to be browse these forums again after a long hiatus. I've shifted all my learning efforts over to the automotive world after putting a pause on my Nerf modding, but I forgot to share my old cubicle photos from work:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

The mounts are all custom made from cardboard and T-shaped pushpins :D

For those that care about what my mods look like nowadays:

Posted Image

After wiring it up along with a new fuel pump and relay, I'll be throwing in a centrifugal supercharger--should be a fun learning experience, just like Nerf!

I"ll be back someday, my friends.

Still waiting on some XT60 battery connectors, but this is a quick shot the night I put it together.

Desert Digital Camo, rubberized grips, Falcon 130 motors, 2s 20c Lipo, mini voltmeter.

Another one coming soon, Fatigue Digital Camo.

Desert is on the left, Fatigue on the right.

MOVED TO PJs THREAD, THIS IS NOT A WRITEUP

Posted Image

I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll go into more detail here for anyone looking to try similar things. There's nothing revolutionary here, but It came out looking very clean. I really should have taken more pictures during the modding process, but there's tons of guides for wiring out there, and I didn't do anything special.

Blaster before drybrushing:

Posted Image

That red is soooo glossy.

Sprayed 2 coats of flat clearcoat on it after drybrushing and detailing:

Posted Image
Posted Image

The red looked great at this point, but the copper was too dull, so I went at it with some glossy clear:

Posted Image

Much better. Time for a little internal work. I built a battery bay out of some plastic composite stuff I got from a salvage place nearby:

Posted Image

Finished my wiring, did some sanding on anything that felt the slightest bit rough and makes contact with moving points using 1000 grit sandpaper. I used White Lithium grease to make sure everything slides well. Sealed it up and test fires like a dream. I don't have foam build up yet, so I wont bother chrono'ing it. I've chrono'd this exact setup here (Note: the fresh elite darts were the camo ones, and I found out they have a negative impact on dart grip):

Three current works in progress:

Longstrike: Awaiting internals overhaul, I'll probably try to stick a Magnus (with upgraded spring) in there.

Cycloneshock: Awaiting internals reinforcement to accept new spring (probably not going to take much more than some epoxy support for the plunger head and a cut-out brass skeleton to support the outer plunger rod), and epoxy putty for slightly less ugly.

Magnus: Still awaiting a new spring, and epoxy putty to not make it look like a giant mess. kind of the red-headed step-child of the bunch since I have no freaking idea where I'm going with the blaster. It just kind of... happened. Also, I ran out of paint halfway through.

As for why they all look "dirty", frankly I don't always treat my blasters like fragile eggs, they get banged around sometimes. So I figured I might as well make them look used to begin with.

I was originally going to call this the "Longstryfe" but that name has since been used to describe a longshot with stryfe internals so I've dubbed mine the first ever "Stryfestrike"

My modded Sharpfire.

Posted ImageDSC00273 by TheNerfZilla, on Flickr

It has a 17/32 inside 9/16 brass breech. It fits elite darts very nicely.

Posted ImageDSC00268 by TheNerfZilla, on Flickr

Posted ImageDSC00269 by TheNerfZilla, on Flickr

It runs on an ACE #115 spring and a stock maverick spring.

Posted ImageDSC00275 by TheNerfZilla, on Flickr

It hits a conservative 80 feet flat with newish elites.
