Nice vid... and I have one question about the gun...

Can you actually use the stock? Or is it too short?

I know the PAS stock is hella-small, and that it almost cannot be used.

Congratulations of being able to fire this without destroying the plunger rod with all those springs. I used exactly the same spring combo in the one I just finished, and the entire back part of the plunger rod (the whole catch part) broke off. If yours breaks in the same way that mine did, you won't be fixing it without getting a new plunger rod. That also leads me to a question. Does yours prime smooth or do the springs bind up when it gets almost back to the catch? The pump on mine would pull back smoothly until it got back near the catch, and then the springs bound up together and it very hard to fully prime.

I don't know what to tell you other than you've done something wrong or bought an unlucky gun. From the sounds of it, I'm sorry to inform you, but yes, I could still fix that. I don't want to sound like a cocky asshole, but I assure you, I could fix it. I didn't have the bounding problem either. I'm not sure why it happen to you, other than saying that you put them in wrong, or I dunno. Use less springs next time I guess. I've shot my doomsayer an excess of 500 times since I finished it, and I still have no problems. I really don't know what to tell you.

Why are you sorry to say you could fix something? I could fix it too, but there is no point. It would be a huge waste of time. How could one ever put springs into a gun incorrectly? It is pretty self-explanatory. I got the plunger rod out of my other RFSG, and I only used the LS and BBB springs, and it primes really easy and works fine. I'm pretty sure I didn't screw up too bad. It's a simple gun, and I have done way more complicated mods (remember my lancer?). I'd guess that it was just an unlucky gun.

Also, here's my old plunger (at least the pieces I could find...)

That is a very strange break.
Could be prevented by adding epoxy putty in the sides.
Then bending some sheet metal over the top and down the side facing the stock.
Then drilling two screws into the epoxy putty on the top and on the side facing the stock.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Well he said repairing it would be a waste of time.
Preventing it however is a different story.

What'd you do with the turret?

Anything different than Angel's?

My original one, yes, but my father went on a rampage and broke it. The turret it has now is the exact same process as one of FA's

You'd probably be better off trading it for a PAS. The PAS plunger head is about 60% larger in area. The only reason to choose the Rapid Fire is for the ... rapid fire.

I agree for the most part. PAS is much easier to modify to it's full potential and the range is consistent and outstanding. That however is the only reason to choose it. Modded to their full potential any of us have seen, 12 100ft+ shots is much more deadly that one 150ft+ shot in my opinion.

Exactly. If I can't get a replacement, I may try to fix it, but most things under high stress don't take too kindly to being repaired. Soothsayer, I meant no offense with anything I have said. Honestly, if you opened up your gun, and the plunger rod fell out in five or so pieces, would you try to obtain a new one, or would you spend a few hours fixing it, just to have to break again at some point down the road? It would be so much less hassle to find a replacement and reinforce it better than the first time.

So my Doomsayer is almost done ( my turret is drying ) and the idiot I am forgot how all the pieces go on the gun, like the rotational mechanism where the pumping rotates the turret. Maybe someone could provide a close up on that part of the internals of the gun?

Since you're too young to get a hotel, you should look around, maybe check some aim chatrooms.
Theres alot of really friendly, nice people out there, that'd be more than willing to accomodate a young boy.

This is just a question about doomsayers in general. How do you sand the rings on the inside of the stock barrels? None of my bits fit far enough in the turret to sand them all the way down.

Well, you need a different dremel then. Maybe borrow one from a friend.
My dremel had problems too, but then I put the bit as far as it can go in the collet and it was able to reach.
Luck I guess.

Hey...I got a crazy idea: how about you stop all that sigging stuff? It's not even my thread and it annoys me.
