Recapping: Late August Minnesota War

All right guys, we're starting tomorrow at 9:00. Remember to bring: plenty of water, sunscreen, darts/blasters, money, and all that good stuff. We're going to be meeting in the same area we did last time, north of the playground by the woods.

Definite interest from me. If you brought it I'd like to check it out, and maybe buy some. On the topic of sales, I'm looking to buy some medium-wall PETG (the common airgun fit), around 6 feet? I'd also like to buy ~1 sq. ft. of 1/4" polycarb, random scraps would be just fine! Prices can be arranged through PM or at the war. Also, knowing that this is somewhat hard to find without online ordering, I have a bunch of sch.80 pvc, with perfect ID and OD, fits wonderfully in couplers. If there is interest I can get more too.

EDIT: I am also looking to purchase a titan tank, if I could get a pricing quote from a potential seller that would be great.

Overall a good war but I ran out of darts near the end as I didn't really do any war prep.

pros-
decent attendance(damn people going to the state fair)
getting a real chance to talk with and trade with everyone
helping fix the single titan that was scaring everyone including me lol

twas fun- should do it again some time- however need mobsticals.... or something.

Pros- Good amount of people that attended, Snap not breaking till the end, not too hot.
Cons- Snap broke at the end, lots of bug bites.

This would have been a solid ok war, but the guy wearing the gorilla suit pushed it over the edge into awesome good times!

The only con was dart making. I'm thinking of going back to bb slugs, for some reason washers are annoying me.

Solid war guys!

Pros
-all my guns performed flawlessly
-meeting people, getting to know people better
-got some fun new stuff
-got most of my darts back
-discovering the awesome strategy of shooting prone

Cons
-that kid. you guys know.
-lack of good cover was a problem in many rounds.
-my friend left super early
-too much downtime.
-the next war isn't tomorrow

I was going to say reverse prone, but I don't think that's what it's actually called. A quick search told me "supine position" which I remember hearing before. But yes, supine position is better than prone. for the next war, I should bring very large shoes... no one will think of them as shields, heh.

EDIT: I don't remember who took the maverick, but there was a recon left too, with partial AR removal and teflon tape on the breach. It was taken by a kid that only has an NREV account, I don't know why.

reverse prone=hard as hell to hit. I got a 12 kill streak the first time before I got shot.

Alright you toolboxes, someone drop a list of the game types you played.

We played carpe and capture the flag. There was also a random pistol round.
Pros-
Plenty of blasters this time, some people could borrow.
Got lots of footage with my hat cam, I filmed almost even round.
Used less than 100 of my 300 darts.
Mankato team owning in carpe.
^ Two different video perspectives of carpe.
Everyone we brought liked their blasters.
^ I made all their blasters.
Got to shoot singled titan kid, and the Gorilla
Almost all the darts were small enough to use in a hopper.
I always had a good team.
Cons
Annoying singled titan kid.
After every round more people left.
A few blasters broke.
No core or mobsticles.
Got a huge welt from point blank.

Hello! I want to tell everyone sorry about the singled titan kid. I brought him along not knowing what a problem it would be.The titan was mine and still has the stock working oprv. I don't believe it was shooting any farther than all those snaps and +bows. Sorry again!

In the future if you guys have a problem with a blaster someone else is using you should bring it up to the war host at the war.

Obviously using singled titans is something we want to discourage, but when it's stock with maybe an 8 inch barrel it's not the end of the world if some kid who barely has the strength to trigger the orpv is running around with it.

I think people found him more annoying then anything cause i dont think i heard him shut his mouth once. also

SNAP 5 with hopper: 190fps
SNAP 2 with hopper: 200fps
PAC with hopper: 200fps
Singled +bow: 210 fps
SM5k: 281.6 FPS

modded(singled) Titan: 365.2 FPS (call this about 249 miles per hour)

there is a very good reason people do not allow singled titans at wars. -if you want to get shot that hard- go play paintball.

-The kid using the Titan was.....I don't even need to say it. Don't worry Wired, I've seen much worse participants than that in my 3.5 years of attending wars.
+Frightening people with my National Geographic Roto Rocket. I often feel like it's more of a risk to the operator; I'm still traumatized by this incident.
+Realizing that BOSS9 is like Kip but with less ADHD. Awesome.
-Kip, Finky, Eik, and others not making it.
+Kathleen showing up for a few hours, what a trooper!
+Laughing at the horrible McDonalds service.
+Listening to gangsta rap while driving Derek and Dave to lunch.
+Buying two Arizonas on the way home. Awesome thirst quencher!
+Most of the participants were fairly cooperative, thanks everyone!
