Why use PVC stubs on the turret? Why not just use a cpvc coupler? I REALLY like the turret though, I must make one.

ASON: Yah, it's my go-to gun as of now.
Umpshaplapa: Cpvc couplers don't really offer enough support. Pvc gives you much more surface area/friction, as well as a tighter fit.

I thought of another question.

How did you decide the length of your barrels? Did you use boltsniper's formula, a series of tests, guesswork, what?

Way back in the prototyping days, I determined via a series of informal tests that 12" of cpvc works really well on the SNAPbow. I just carried that over.

I've gotten good results from a foot of PETG, but CPVC does get more range, however I don't like pushing darts into barrels and I am more worried about accuracy.

I'm going to switch to thicker foam soon, which will probably mean that I'll be going to petg for a lot of my guns. However, the SNAPbow tends to do well with extremely tight-fitting darts, so cpvc will probably continue to be my barrel of choice for it. It's a simple matter to slope the back end of a cpvc barrel, which makes loading tight darts a heck of a lot easier.

I found that worked well with my old foam, but the new stuff I use is WAY to dense for CPVC. It just wont fit it seems. I am a bit bummed, but it means a breech is now actually a good idea for my darts. Adapt and improve I guess.

Mind if I shoot you some design ideas? I have a few that I would like some input on if you are interested.
