I just tried it. Didn't work.Spray paint can act as a glue which is what I think happened. It looks like from your picture you didn't take it apart to paint it.Pry the gun apart then sand it all off then repaint it while it is open.

I would be happy to look at it for you. Whenever we are able to meet up, I would be happy to inspect your ailing Bow.

Anyway. The fins on the plunger rod, when moved up all the way, push the little locking pieces on the side our, allowing you to get it mast the ridge and cocki it again. After a while though, the flimsy fins get worn out. The way I fixed it was to make the little nubs on the locking pieces stick into the gun more. So I put some epoxy on the little trapezoids that fit into the groove in the shell. It should only make it 1/8" bigger. Then sand/file it to make it all smooth. Now, the fins will be able to push the lockers up enough. If you need a pic I can get it.
