The 1st Place Prize for the 'SNAP' Category goes to Meaker IV for his Mark 8 writeup. The writeup set itself apart from all the others with it's simple design, easy build process, and a one-stop hardware store parts list. The writeup itself exceeded all expectations with it's clarity and Ikea-like style. It would look just as at home in the pages of Make Magazine as it does here on NerfHaven. For his service in creating this writeup and his willingness to help other contestants, we have awarded Meaker Contributor status on NerfHaven.

The 1st Place Prize for the 'Plusbow' Category, the 2nd Place Prize for the 'SNAP' Category, and basically every other prize we're offering go to Naturalman7. Naturalman managed to write over a third of the total submissions for this contest, including:
Pump-Action Rainbow - Based on Ryan's RainbowPump
Pump-action SNAP 3.0 Writeup - based on Nerfomania's Pumpsnap 3.0
New AABow - Based on Kane the Mediocre's Actually A Bow
Rainbow Pistol Writeup - Based on the Rainbow Clan's Rainbow Catch
Pump-action +bow writeup - Based on Ryan's Pumpbow

Naturalman examined pretty much every homemade blaster design commonly in use, and either provided a writeup where one did not exist previously, or vastly improved on the existing material. Each writeup is clear and easy to follow with tons of photos and diagrams to back it up. For this impressive body of work, we have awarded Naturalman Contributor status on NerfHaven.

I would also like to recognize all of the other participants who contributed their writeups to this contest. While the entries varied greatly in overall quality and accessibility to new players, every single entry contained some unique quality that contributed to the community. To name a few:

Aeromech's Rainbowpump variant showed us how to MacGuyver a Rainbow Catch together with nothing but simple hand tools, and offers some alternative materials for grips.
Queryman's Rainbowpump demonstrated what you can do with an unlimited budget and an hour's worth of work. He substitutes some easily installed paintball accessories for the foregrip and handle.
Alfatrooper's SNAP Carbine proved that you can polish shit. Best writeup of a SNAP Carbine we've ever seen.
He Who Mods' Double Snap Bow gave us a nice SNAP variation on the double rainbow bullpup configuration.
PBZ's N00B TUBE reinvented the wheel a bit, but the result is a fine pullback blaster that requires no dremeling and offers some interesting catch and plunger head variations over the SNAP.
Buffdaddy's EZ-SNAP repurposes a spraycan pistol grip attachment as a handle, cutting out the need to shape a wood handle or cut one off of an existing blaster.
IvanS Managed to build a dead simple homemade airgun and incorporated an OPRV reclaimed from another blaster. Might not fly at Apoc, but it's a step closer to a war-legal homemade airgun than most.
Ballistic Joe's Ballistic Catch includes an interesting new catch mechanism.

Thank you once again to everyone who participated, and congratulations to the winners!
