Using up my FNG posting privileges for today.

Modified CycloneShock shooting standard and stefan darts.

-AR has been removed and modified for smoother airflow.
-Dart pegs clipped and hole smoothed.
-1/2" ID clear tubing glued in place.
-Stock spring nested with Retaliator XD spring
-reinforcement in spring rest

Chrony reading yields and average of 113fps. Should be able to achieve 120's easily with a Retaliator spring (spring on order)

Probably going to post this blaster on eBay.

How does this blaster seal the plunger tube against the back of the turret?

Same exact way the strongarm does, just at a larger scale. Essentially plunger fires forward and in the process hits a + webbing inside the plunger tube and the entire tube moves forward creating the seal against the back of the dart cylinder. Once complete the plunger tube will retract. In stock form the seal was pretty amazing. It was getting 85+fps shooting just the Mega darts with no mods.

The good thing about the Mega line is that the plunger has a very thick rubber padding at the end vs. no padding on the strongarm. Only worries, over time, is if you are using a very heavy spring. I would bet on the webbing inside the plunger tube to fail.

I can post some internals if that helps. Just need to use my FNG status posts wisely. Only get 2 per few hours a day until I get to 10.

Nice job, how far can this shoot on average? Did you mod this to shoot regular darts?

As Southern Brisbane Nerf Club has stated,

There is no slam-fire function but to be honest, I wasn't expecting it for a blaster this size.

To be honest, I am kind of disappointed that it doesn't. But at the same time, let me ask this, "is slam-fire worth it when you only have 6 shots?" And no, a six round clip in a slam fire blaster doesn't count for the sole reason that you have the option for more. At most, 35 rounds without modding the clip.

With that being said, I don't consider the Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot to have true slam fire because it is only pulling the plunger all the way down, and then releasing to fire.

Well, I haven't measured true distance yet but I can bet on clearing the advertised Nerf XD advertised ranges. Just testing indoors in a 40ft hallway I ran out of hallway and the koosh dart bounced off the door with plenty more range to go. A nice solid smack too. With my Xplorer xtip v2s there is even more.

As a test subject of a receiving end of a koosh, glue tip stefan, elite dart, and Chinese dart IT HURTS. Nice welts too!

Yes, it now only fires regular darts and stefans.

I think it could be.Plus it never hurts to have slamfire on your side.

Just a warning, I modded a cycloneshock very similarly, but with an omw EAT spring. After a bunch of shots the plunger head and the peg that connects it to the plunger rod broke apart. I am currently trying to epoxy it back together, but that does seem to be a weak point.

Good to know, time to go back into the thing an figure out what to do with it. I was worried the plunger tube + webbing would break first.

You have any pics of your broken areas? How many kg's is your EAT spring?

I dont have any pics, but it was a clean snap unfortunately. And the spring is 5 kgs. So not a ton, but apparently enough.

Oh and by the way, since it was a clean snap the epoxy isnt setting in very well, I would definitely reccomend finding a way to reinforce it. This is not a fun task for me right now.

I just checked mine and if I'm looking at the right part, seems OK. Definitely not a great place to be breaking a part. I would use the plastic bonder epoxy from Loctite or the Plastic Bonder CA (Crazy Glue). It actually fuses plastic together.

Also here are more pics of my gun internals and the mod

What you don't see is some of the stress areas on the shell that I have reinforced.

FYI this blaster is For Sale. I am not able to post in the trading section yet so it's on eBay.

Interesting, I just watched Derek's Mod Center on the Youtubes... here and he is posting very minimal performance gains.

This is contrary to what my blaster, now sold, was doing
