This blaster is very easy to find on clearance. I bought my first one at Target for only $2. I liked it so much I went hunting for another one. And happily bought it for $6. Looks really good in black as opposed to red/blue.

Hasbrotoyshop.com sells them in red/blue for $5.99 + shipping
http://www.hasbrotoy...BR=805&ID=19218
Or black for $9.99 + shipping

They're on clearance most places because the ergonomics on them is abysmal. It's quite painful to use as intended because the prongs that the strap attach to stab into your arm. The included darts also have little rubber inserts inside the peg hole that dramatically neuter their performance
Posted Image

Tools/Supplies Needed
+ Screwdriver
+ Hot Glue Gun
+ Super glue
+ Band Saw, scrollsaw, or hacksaw
+ Plastic bungee (I got mine from a $0.50 foam pirate hat)
+ Plastic or dowel to use as a ramrod
+ Power drill
+ Two #6 or #8 finishing washers
+ #6 self-tapping sheet metal screws or #6-32 screw and a matching tapping bit

First mark where we need to cut the stock barrel.
Posted Image
Then simply cut it off there and pry out the remains of the air restrictor.
Posted Image
If your barrel material doesn't fit in the resulting hole you might have to drill it out (which can prove difficult because of the shape of the blaster) or make a coupler of some kind.
Posted Image
Simply glue in your new barrel. 3 or 4 inches works best.
I added a bracing piece because I want to make sure my barrel stays straight and can handle abuse.
Posted Image
You'll need to use a hot glue gun to plug the little vent hole shown here.
Posted Image
Cut a short length of barrel material and glue it to the side of the blaster with super glue. Then reinforce with hot glue.
Cut a 3-inch long rod of plastic or dowel that will fit loosely in your barrel.
Drill 7/64" holes where shown.
Posted Image
Using your #6 screws and finishing washers attach the ends of the bungee to the ramrod and ammo holders of the blaster and you're done.
Posted Image
And you're done. Integrated it onto anything that the straps will reach around. Or simply add some adhesive-backed velcro to the underside of the blaster.

Ranges: 40-55 feet with stefans
Time from start to finish: 20-30 minutes

Is it a springer? And would you have to add support for the straps to attach it to another blaster?

Very nice, but I'd still prefer an AT2k or SSPB to integrate, as the ranges are better.

Very nice CS. If you want more of these, I can get them up here by me, though I don't recall the price.

Yes it's a springer. And if you cinch it on tight enough it's not likely to wiggle around much.

I keep seeing these and can't decide if I want them or not, I keep going "I should just hold out until I see a SMDT set" but I'm deeply considering now.

Not bad CS. I like the bracing piece.
The only thing this write up is missing is a quirky video.

I don't get my kicks out of you,

I prefer these because
1. They're really cheap
2. I don't have to pump them (and therefore don't have to count the number of pumps)
3. I can leave it primed and not have to worry about it leaking
4. I love the plunger/trigger arrangement

Out of curiosity, could you just paint the red/blue one (preferably with vinyl dye)?

That's what I did to my first one.

The performance is comparable to most of the defected or not completely modded smdtg's. Good not great...

Anyways, I love the fact that most of the videos that are related to that are all members of NH. Boom13, Uin13 (Ice) (good job there buddy), F_a24 and Baghead. Good publicity guys.

Except Ice. Dude, 'Funny Face', really? I appreciate what you have done, but really?

I don't particularly understand this complaint. After only replacing the barrel, this blaster is shooting about as far as your average modified Nite Finder does. And nobody poo-poos those.
Most of the SMDTGs I've had could only manage 65 feet at most. But again, those have to be pumped 15 times or more. And I've had a couple of them develop leaks.

50 feet is PLENTY for a sidearm. Especially one you're integrating with the intent to use it primarily for protection against being rushed while you're reloading.

It looks like something I would just strap to my arm, not integrate into a blaster. I would consider a SMDTG because of its close range capabilities, but adding a singleshot gun to another singleshot gun, doesn't make sense to me.

Vary nice job, CS. I like these blasters a lot. I'm in the process of integrating one into my project.

And you would not find it comfortable. I have very skinny and bony wrists, but this thing was still impossible to use without discomfort when I put it on my arm.

adding a singleshot gun to another singleshot gun, doesn't make sense to me.

Hell, I was considering putting two of these on my +Bow, but when I thought about it I couldn't recall ever needing more than one or two shots at the ready at any point in a Nerf War.
But then again I advocate using one barrel and using it well enough that your side arm almost never gets used. This philosophy is totally backwards in th minds of Nerfers like Falcon who want as many as they can carry.
Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I just got one today at TRU for 11 bucks. It twas in the spiderman toy section. I just jammed a PETG stub down the barrel that is a bit too short and I am getting about 35 feet. I also haven't plugged that "vent" above the barrel. I think with some longer PETG and that vent thing I should be able to get about 50 feet. I am going to glue it onto my MaxShot.

Here is a pic of mine , and I know that that piece of PETG sucks.

well since it is a springer, it should take less time to prime than a SMDTG plus this gun is more the intergration type
