Would the plunger of a Nite Finder fit inside the body of a Scout? I'm partial to the Scout's form, but from all accounts it's severely lacking on the inside. Would the air chamber of a Nite Finder fit in a Scout without excessive dremeling? I don't want to buy a secondhand Scout without at least asking.

For the record, I know that (unlike a Mav-Finder), a Scout-Finder would have no real advantages over a straight Nite Finder. I just think that it would be neat/fun/a challenge.

EDIT: Title typo.

Well, The scout has a VERY tiny plunger so there probably not going to be much room, and let me tell you, from my experiences (SP?) the scout shell is as weeks as butter.
Newb: Paintball is better than nerf, I mean common there weaker than hell.
Nerfer: Really want to take a shot to the balls with a titan?

I like the handle on the scout better, but nothing worth changing.

Carrtoon did something similar...
It's not a scout, but close enough.

Thanks. It sounds like it might be worth trying, though success is iffy. I'm planning on getting a parts NF anyway; I'll post to see if anyone has an extra Scout to unload on some poor sod.

Gah, Ronster beat me to it.
Yeah, I would just make the Crossfinder. It's really small and looks pretty awsome too.
I have no idea if the Scout has similair dimensions to those of the Crossfire, so I don't know if it would be possible with a Scout.

I just posted a Want To Buy thread. I figure it'll be neat if it works; as far as I know, no one has yet modded a Scout like this. If not, well, I expect that the Scout won't be too expensive.

Well, I made a Scout/TTG, I could post pictures if you want. I really like the look of the scout and it's feel, so I decided to integrate a TTG that had it's shell hacked up into it. It's my sidearm now. I obviously had to cut parts of the body off, but the slider thing covers that.

You might think I integrated an NF into the Scout, but I just added the NF cocking piece because it is smaller and more comfortable than the huge TTG one.

Should give you an idea on how much I had to cut.

Ranges: The same as any brassed TTG

Thanks for the pics. Am I correct that the NF's air chamber is signiicanty bigger than the TTG's?

I think the TTG plunger tube is slightly bigger than the Nite Finder's. Nice job in the integration Nitewalker.

The Nite Finder plunger tube is only a little wider, the ttg's is longer. There may be a slight difference (in air volume), and there probably is, but it is only a very small one. P.S. I like that Integration.

Awesome integration Nite-walker. I would look into gluing the old cocking mechanism on the scout to the body of the scout and not attach it to the plunger at all. It should allow the plunger to travel faster and increase range a tad bit.
