How far does it shoot?

About the same range, 60-75

Alright, i'm not gonna lie, I didn't read most of the posts in this subject... it's just too damn long.

I don't know if Mr. Box is still on here, or if he ever flaunted this, but he had a PVC backpack full of air linked directly to his powerclip... this allowed him to fire several full clips without ever pumping. It was pretty cool. We outlawed it at the war because it is what we called a "fabricated air bladder/chamber", but it was an awesome idea. It seems to me that you could apply this same concept to just about any air pressure guns.

Yes we could, but a pvc airtank does not keep a constant pressure when shots are fired.

Rubber bladders continue to exert a constant pressure at all times regardless of how much air is filling the tank.

To use PVC, you would need a regulator, which seem to be fairly cheap now.

Couldnt you use the whole bike inner tube (yes it would be very bulky), but you could put it in a backpack and have a hose connecting the tank & the gun. It would take a ton of pumps, but imagine how many shots you could get.

This is similiar to my semi-auto Splashzooka (except this one works). The air from the bladder goes thru vinyl to an XP valve. There is another piece of Vinyl that leads from the XP valve to the 2K valve. I put the XP valve behind the trigger facing backwards. I extended the XP firing pin with a short piece of coat-hanger to hook onto the 2K trigger. When the trigger is in the open position, the XP valve is open. When you pull the trigger a little bit the XP valve closes which separates the air in the 2K valve from the bladder. When the trigger is pulled the rest of the way the air in the 2K valve is let out. You can hold the trigger for as long as you want and no more air will come out until you let go of the trigger since the closed XP valve separates the 2K valve. When you let go of the trigger the 2K valve closes and then the XP valve opens which primes the 2K for another shot. All you have to do to get more air is let go of the trigger And all you have to do for another dart is rotate the turret! this means i can put out 4 shots in about 2 seconds. I want to make a fast-reloader for a 2K like Zero did for a BF. Since this bladder is HUGE it can shoot about 30 shots before a significant loss of PSI. Since the pressure isn't very high in the bladder, ranges are only 50-60. I was going to put my shell breech on it but i would have had to chop up the 2K shell, Which i didn't want to do incase the breech didn't end up working.

Very, very nice.
Just to ask, which gun did you pull that bad motha out of? Did the xp valve come in the gun? Would this be war legal?

I got the bladder from a Splashzooka and the valve is from an XP20. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be war legal since it only gets 50-60ft.

Someone pioneer interchangeable clips to go with that thing, and it would be kind of a mini powerclip, with a little imagination.

2005, phew. That's a long time for this project to be dead. C'mon guys, we need action! Actually, I have some progress, or me actually providing some stuff. So here you guys go, and yes, I'm contributing to a necro.

First of all, I took a few pieces to create my set up, and it contains this (it did):

-Magstrike release valve
-Airtech 2000 Tank
-Mcmaster Carr check valve (soon to be replaced with Zorn's)
-Vinyl T
-LSFG Handle (temporarily set up)
-Magstrike bladder
-Hose Clamp

Now I put this all together, and that's all you practically need. As you guys said, regulating the air will distribute more even shots, not like hair-trigger fingering it. Now, I can pump 20times and get 5-11 shots off. Since all my connections are raw and contain no adhesive, leaks are prone and tend to happen. A lot. That's why the range is 6* and soon it will have a more reliable shot total.

Here's some pics, don't pay attention to the homemade blast button and hornet tank. Like I said this set up is temporary and won't last long, just enough to find a shell.

Here's the magstrike push-release valve: Posted Image

Here's the bladder unpumped: Posted Image

Here it is pumped 20 times: Posted Image

Here is the setup, in proceeding order- AT2K tank, Vinyl Tubing, Check Valve, Vinyl Tubing, Tube connection T:

Posted Image

Here's another view: Posted Image

Now that's out of the way, we need to talk about replacements!
Here's the part numbers for Mcmaster-Carr:

1x Brass Push-Button Valve 10-32 Unf-- 6790T41
2x Single-Barbed Tube Fittings Adapter for 1/8" Tube ID X 10-32 Unf Male-- 5058K223

The adapter are to be screwed into the push-release, so you attatch tubing not metal tubing.

Here's a video of the air internels at function:

That's it folks, Let's hope this project gets put back into works!

Edit: picture size and typo

I'd just like to say to all viewers and contributes to this thread in current time that you should take your time and READ the entire thread, fully understanding the ideas that died and succeeded. Not only will it help yourself, but what the hell is going on.

By God, a legal necro!

It seems you've made progress, these last 4 years.

I would suggest you use a Firefly for the shell, simply for comfort, and because it's a trend now.

A useful necro? What? How can this be?

The next challenge would be to add an eight-shot turret. Otherwise, you ruin the whole purpose of semi auto if you have to keep reloading. All the more reason to use the firefly.

Thats cool Merzlin...I think you made it better. Good progress haha. Glad to see its useful after all this time. Where are you going to place that second middle valve on the gun? I would put it in the handle below the trigger with the pin sticking out in the same direction of the trigger to operate it with the same hand on the handle, just a lower finger.

Oh, well I'll probably integrating the entire thing into a magstrike, just because it has a good trigger setup and bladder space that is protected.

I was thinking of getting a reverse push-release valve, and put it under the MS trigger like the stock release valve use to be. So in theory, the valve is always open, and when you press the trigger, if closes, but also fires the shot. That would be a staged trigger though, not opening both functions at the same time. Do you think this would be better?

If I do go with the regular valve, I'll probably put it into the handle of the MS, so the same firing hand can press the release valve. I'd put some tear relief foam onto the button, so it doesn't hurt the finger your pressing it with.

I'll get some pictures when the new valve comes, most likely monday.

Okey, So I read through the thread finding a picture describing what I'm actually doing, and this is suffice:

Posted Image

Basically, Instead of having a T connector leading to the Bladder back/fourth*, its a straight shot through the entire assembly. This eliminates filling the AT2K tank on your first pump, but that's only one shot. I'll see how this method works vs. a T connector.

* Here is a diagram of THIRST's way: Posted Image

He's using the Goo Gauge as a T connector in reality.

I'm actually working on something like this with Rokor, I shall unviel it at ChANO 2. Muahahaha! The version I'm making will have an extremley high ROF, unfortunately, I have to order some PETG first, so it may not be completely finished by the time ChANO 2 comes around.

Heh, alrighty! When ever I get more funds, I'll pick up a reverse release valve. I will take some shots of the Push release valve location after I get it. Accept results soon!

This thread is probably sick of being risen from the dead.
I'm risking my membership here, but I hope this counts as a legal necro. The second one in this thread.

Basically I have done what Merzlin did, but stick it in a shittily painted mav shell. And I used a 3k tank instead of a 2k tank.

Posted Image

Originally I had tried the whole semi-auto thing by getting the trigger to be always pushing against the magstrike push-release valve, and then the same trigger would be pulled back to release the valve, and pull the 3k pin. I did not succeed in that. I tried having bungies pulling the 3/4" PVC ring on the maverick trigger so that when i wasn't doing anything the valve was being pushed. However It made the trigger pull too hard and I thought something was going to break. So instead I decided to just make it so that I could push forward with my finger until I hear a little "hiss" from the air, and then pull back the release the air in the tank.

In the above photo, there is a shitload of hotglue on the tubing because when I ordered the check valve from McMaster, I got one size too big, so I had to make it fit. Thus the hotglue, and other scraps of titan tubing.

Posted Image
Here is the bladder. There is a check valve between it and the pump because the stock one stopped working. I also figured banding it would be good because if there is more pressure on the air in the bladder, there is more pressure putting air into the tank. Therefore, more air goes into tank and ability to cause welts is increased. Theoretically.

Here is another photo of all the internals.
Before anyone asks, I have not officially range tested. This is for two reasons. I don't have a long tape measurer thingy, and all my stefans suck shit. When I buy some of Angel's beige stuff I'll have better stuff to shoot from this. And yes, I tried a hopper. Even with Brit's guide thing inside it wont feed properly. So an RSCB works fine.
I hope this has somewhat contributed to the work already done here, and I'm sure someone more experienced could make something truly semi-auto out of what has been done here. I know just yesterday Banshee posted something virtually identical to what I am showing in this post, and I would like to say 2 things. One, Banshee did a better job than I did on this if he is getting 100' with streamlines, and that I had no prior knowledge of his work, as he probably had no prior knowledge of mine.

If this is not a legal necro, admins, please let me know.
