My new pistol.
Oh, you just think that this is just a normal 1st gen modded NiteFinder, right?
Complete with:
PT replaced-Spring replacement(industrial)-Seal improval-Super duper long screw so the plunger head will never fly off-
Catch spring with a higher constant than a K19(don't take my word on it though)-Minimization-Brass compartments in handle for dart storage-Draw extended
Well guess what; you're wrong. So, so wrong.
One side clear, one first gen. Sooo sexy, it looks extremely badass in person.
Ranges, you might say? They're enough, but definitely more than my old pistol. No padding on the plunger head? Why should I, when they never meet.

Meet: the new and improved RogueFinder.
Draw extension, INSANE padding(pic below), very strong catch spring to hold a beastly spring, ziptie keeps the top of the gun held together, bottom dremeled out in preparation for an integration.
I decided to keep the original spring that was in it before the draw extension, but due to the draw extension the spring would hit full compression, which severely weakens the spring. Therefore, the massive padding. It also serves as a cushion from impact and silences the blaster!
With a 5 inch CPVC barrel and single BB stefans(1/5''), it hits cardboard from 20 feet away very hard. My guess is roughly 70 feet.

Lego Atlantis Harpoon Blaster. Elbow secured onto the airtank, dremeled out spot in shell, and a spiffy RSCB with a clear PVC clip and a CPVC barrel. No dart door, because I've been lazy and haven't gotten around to buying the materials. Shoots harder then your regular Big Blast. The new pivot trigger-bigger back tank designs are making these guns almost as powerful as Titans.

Name: The Blue Monster
Mods Done: Level 4?. Bolts behind spring rests, sheet metal in front of the spring rest, plunger rod reinforced. BnA spring. Plunger tube made by Split, and gives an almost perfect seal. Catch spring addition/replacement.
Integrations: N/A, but that's changing soon
Comments: Name is a spinoff of Ryan McNumber's green xbow, on page 2 of this thread. The pictures were taken by Merzlin after he finished painting it, but it still looks the same.
The ranges are horrible, and I have no clue what's wrong, so I'll be buying homemade internals from Draconis soon.
#263013 Guide To Barrel Material
Posted by hawkshot on 24 January 2010 - 07:30 PM in Modifications
I am re-barreling some guns with 17/32 brass.
1. How long should a longshot's barrel be?
2. How long should a recon's barrel be?
3. How long should a raider's barrel be?
1. Usually with a spring upgrade Longshots can handle a 12 inch barrel.
2. Recons are so weak that if you try to brass breech one it won't turn out well.
3. I believe Zorn's Lemma's brassed Raider contract had the barrel the same length as the original barrel. I would recommend checking with him first, though.

I had the original which doesn't look much different than the sequel, and it was very fun. Way more team oriented than a game such as MW2.Anyone pick up Bad Company 2 yet? It looks pretty awesome. Wanted to get some real people reactions to it.
Oh yeah, aside from that I'm a MW2 fanatic.

This gun is INCREDIBLE! Pumping the titan looks so easy, and that paintjob is AMAZING! I mean, it's so great I bet Direct Threat would be jealous!
#287121 The Clothespin Trigger Mk2

ColdSNAP, huh?the ColdSNAP.
Aside from me making myself look like a major nerd, I wanted to briefly give a hell of a lot of kudos. The only problem I can see along the road for the design is the half-pipe connected to the screw. Possibly(and I also do not know much about the clothespin trigger) could you use a full circle connected to the screw, and create a more noticeable indent into the cpvc, or only cut one 180 degree(looking down at the plunger rod) cut?
