#29149 Rf20 At3k At2k Are Back!

Posted by Airsoft999 on 22 June 2004 - 12:49 PM in General Nerf

at least mine does. I was in my TRU yesterday, picking up a few NiteFinders, and I saw like half a dozen AT2 and 3K's and a whole shelf of RF20's. Is this old news? Someone posted about the AT3K's, but wut about the RF20's? They are not leftover ones, because it says "Toys 'r Us exclusive" on the box. Is this only at certain stores??

#51065 Big Bad Bow

Posted by Airsoft999 on 29 March 2005 - 07:45 PM in Modifications

Well, there are many possible mods. NOTE: All barrel materials mentioned are sold in different increments, but any barrel I mention, you'll want to buy with a 1/2" measurement, unless mentioned differently.

1.) Find a suitable barrel- you'll want about ten inches of whatever you need. If you are using stock micros, or mega stefans, use SCH40 PVC (found in most hardware stores) If you use micro stefans, use PETG, CPVC, SCH80 PVC, copper, or brass. If you use brass, nest 3.5 inches of 17/32" in 10 inches on 9/16" brass. Then, cut down/hollow out the barrel, and glue/stick your barrel onto the stub or push it into the original barrel. Then make sure it is airtight. Use a ramrod to load the dart.

2.) Cut down all but 1/2"-1" of the original barrel. Wrap the stub in tape, until a coupler fits snug on it. The coupler should be glued on airtight. Make sure the coupler fits the barrel material you choose to use, i.e. copper coupler for copper, PVC coupler for all PVC and brass, and CPVC coupler for CPVC. The barrel you choose to use should be the same as what I mentioned in mod 1. However, don't glue the barrel into the coupler- you WANT the barrel to be removable to increase ROF. To reload, take the barrel out of the coupler, and push the dart into the back of the barrel, and then put the barrel back in.
** For brass and a PVC coupler, put the brass inide some PVC so the PVC fits in the couper. Brass does not fit in a coupler by itself.

3.) Cut down the barrel like in mod 2. This mod is only for if you are using micro stefans or stock micros. Then, insert a hollowed out crayola marker in the stub for stock micros, or 4 inches of 17/32" brass in the stub for micro stefans. Make it airtight. Then glue a PVC coupler around the brass. Then make a barrel extension out of 10 inches of SCH40 PVC (stock micros) or 10 inches of 9/16" brass inside 6 inches of SCH40 PVC. To load, push your dart into the smaller constricted barrel (the marker) and then slide the barrel extension over the crayola or 17/32" brass and into the coupler.

4.) Make a breech, as shown in Zero's breech design in the Homemades section of this site.

I'd not recommend no. 1 for its slow reload, but the other three are all good choices. Pictures and more thorough directions can be found by searching around the forums and on Google. You can PM me if you have any more questions.

#36767 Bbb Question

Posted by Airsoft999 on 09 September 2004 - 03:25 PM in Modifications

Wouldn't loading from the back be harder that sticking a piece of 17/32" brass in the barrel, and putting a coupler around that? With the smaller section in the back of the 9/16" brass, and loading from the back, I have to find a way to hold the BBB, too. With the constricted barrel in the stun, I can hold the extension with two fingers, and load with the other, while holding the BBB with one hand.

#37139 Help With Petg

Posted by Airsoft999 on 13 September 2004 - 05:33 PM in Modifications

Wait, have you tried CX's mod but with PETG? And PETG won't work too well with stock darts. I think those are what you use...
EDIT: umm, did you have to start a new topic? I mean, you already have a help with splitfires page...

#65924 Nerf Drive-by

Posted by Airsoft999 on 16 October 2005 - 01:11 PM in Nerf Wars

In the Meadowvale clan wars. 2 players will killed in Nerf drive bys(sp?)

The first was taken out while camping someones house. He was hiding to close the curb. The cars speed slowed down at the right time. Two rapid fires hanging out the front passenger window and the rear right passenger window. 40 darts later he had no chance.

The other player taken out was walking to work and again walking to close to the curb and my team just pulled up beside her and out pops the rapid fire. I think my team didnt even keep going they just pulled up beside her and stopped but indeed another quality hit.

That was disturbing until I realized what you actually meant.

#36721 Bbb Question

Posted by Airsoft999 on 08 September 2004 - 07:43 PM in Modifications

Yes, so I am modding a BBB I got. I know that it should be 1" of 17/32" nested in 8 inches of 9/16" brass, but how?? I TLM says to shove the barrel down the stock one, but that would have a bad ROF, because a ramrod would be needed, right? So I want to have a better ROF, but I'm not sure how I will do it. I can either do it maxshot style (2 inches in the constricted barrel stub glued into the stub of the sawed apart stock barrel, with a coupler around it) or crossbow style (already nested, just with a coupler attached, sliding the SCH 80 PVC into the stub). Is any way more effective? Are the ranges reduced so greatly that the good ROF isn't worth it? If anything, I would guess the Max Shot style barrel is better, bur it would be probably miniscule, right?

#47085 Big Salvo/at2k Integration

Posted by Airsoft999 on 10 February 2005 - 05:53 PM in Modifications

Depends on what darts. If you are using Micro Stefans (naturally) you could use CPVC for the barrels. Basically, it is nearly the same as PETG and brass, but it is lighter than brass, but heavier than PETG. CPVC can be found at Home Depot I presume.

If using Zeros, Stefan Megas, or Nerf Micros, you could use PVC. SCH 80 is the recommended type, either that or SCH 40. But you probably already knew that.

SCH 80 is for micro stefans.

#50380 Verry Verry Strange

Posted by Airsoft999 on 23 March 2005 - 04:59 PM in General Nerf

The new nite finders ammo is regular micros and the old ones used airjets. The old ones won't fire because they are to fat. You need to drill the air restrictors out to get them to fire.

EDIT; Please use black letters, your killing my eyes

Actually, some old NF ammo was thinner than others... I have about 9 darts that do work in my ner NF, and about 9 that don't.

#28742 Airsoft Mod To Nerf

Posted by Airsoft999 on 17 June 2004 - 02:59 PM in Modifications

I got a sweet airsoft gun, but no one near me plays. They only play NERF. Is there anyway I can mod? I'm sorta new to nerf, but it has potential. I used to be in an airsoft neighborhood, until I moved. Anyway, thanks. My gun has a picture at http://64.33.43.74/M...tegory_Code=530
Thanks.
NEWay, i didn't see this anywhere else.

Bad me.

Oh, man, I thought that said ban me...

Anyway, Blast Bazooka's are great and can be found at TRU's
Maxshot's can be found at Meijer's as well as Big Salvos.
My K-Mart also has Maxshot's and First Shots, with a sexy blue and white Color scheme.
If you can't find any, I'd be glad to sell you one.

Weren't there two other cases of poseurs in the past? I don't remember who the victims were, though. I think one of them was either GrOOvE or Rags, and I don't remember the other one. Yooper was associated with it though, I remember reading it.

EDIT:: Yooper was imitating Stefan http://www.nerfhq.co... nerfer&start=0

#37888 Can You Do Anything To A Pulsator?

Posted by Airsoft999 on 27 September 2004 - 07:49 PM in Modifications

The point? If they are slightly longer, this means a larger ammo capacity, but get them too long, and it may kill the range.

Range? What range?

#32392 Eab Mod Question

Posted by Airsoft999 on 27 July 2004 - 12:40 AM in Modifications

I am modifying a EaB, and I want the best performance- it's my favorite gun. With a spring replacement, I am now wondering what barrel to use. According to CX, I need a barrel that fits 1/2" fbr loosely. With that said, should I use 1/2" SCH 40 PVC, or 19/32" K&S Brass?

#37186 Titan Trouble

Posted by Airsoft999 on 14 September 2004 - 03:23 PM in Modifications

You don't have to open the gun... Don't worry about the overpressure release... you can still get 170-185 feet with it, and the balls don't really bother me.

I'm sorry, CX. I meant to say SCH 80- like on the site. 9/16 brass gives me a rather tight fit with stefans. At some other thread, I thought I saw you mention using 19/64" brass.

Ah, here. http://nerfhaven.com...hp?showtopic=21

We shouldn't have butted in with our non-Dilbert images.

Power is nothing compared to accuracy. Who cares if it can shoot through a house if you can't even hit the house?

Yes, but who cares if you can hit the house if the dart cant reach the house... Then again, you could always hurl the gun...
