Definitely sounds like the length of your darts. I use airguns almost exclusively, and my stefans are never shorter than 1 1/4 inches. Anything less will probably cause doublefeeds.

I've been pretty happy with the stuff my local big name hardware store carries. It's called Frost King and generally has a nice fit in CPVC. However, if you get lucky, you can sometimes find a bag that fits PETG. Maybe brass. It's really a gamble with it, you know?

You can use a lot of Condor gear for cheap. It's all pretty modular, and you just need to find a style you really like. When I was a young nooblet I too experimented extensively with chest rigs and vests while playing HvZ, but have since moved on to thigh panels and battle belts.

The Penn State Urban Gaming Club always used the spiel that nerfing (especially when events can be ran Friday's/Saturday's) late into the evening serve as a safe place for students to socialize in a safe, controlled area of play that doesn't involve drinking and getting in general trouble.

Maybe that can help?

That's alright. I think your answer would be that the reason a NIB XBow would go for more, or less, is because of the winners modding ability, or if they get it for a collection. An already modded weapon would go for more or less, for the same reasons.

You have my attention.

As far as games as large as these go, I think your best bet would be to keep it cool, relaxed, and casual for the players who most certainly are not even aware of modified blasters. It has been my experience in playing HvZ the past five years that for every one dedicated player, there are a dozen players who treat HvZ as a social event, and less the faux-larp it should be.

It may be best to simply keep all blasters bone stock, with the exception of external accessories (slings, lights, etc...). Depending on when this happens, and the size of the event, I may be willing to make the trek over for it.

I've been wondering the same thing, because the Stampede I own says the same thing. It's cool, because the ECS-50 is actually raised on the plastic, and not just painted on. I think you are maybe the second or third other person I have heard actually owning a Stampede like this.

That is hilarious! They used the firefly both as a gun and as their space ship. Very fulotnny. They could have had a much better quality with a bit of animation. And by taking the sticker off of the battery she used as a stick shift.

Oh crap, I didn't even notice the Sulaco was a FF! I think that's the comedy of a sweded film though, it has a cheesy undertone full of intentional mistakes.

To get this out of the way for those who don't know, a "sweded" is basiclly a fan made movie.

I was on an Aliens (My personally favorite film ever) fansite I frequent a lot, and a user posted these.

I noticed a few of the Colonial Marines in the movie were armed with Nerf blasters. The two I noticed were a Ballzooka and a really neat Firefly cosmetic mod. I thought they were pretty cool, and I thought someone on here might enjoy them as much as I did.

You'll also find this 100X awesomer if you have already seen Aliens before.

Sorry guys, but I think I'm going to have to shut it down. The interest is there, but with too much conflict between the two dates, we can put this on hold or wait for an NJW War. The next war I'll be hosting will be in mid-February, with a really cool twist.
