#150255 Elephant Gun's Anyone

Posted by euphemism on 09 April 2008 - 04:56 PM in Off Topic

hXc is not so much hardcore but straight-edge, which is an offshoot. It represents a lifestyle free of drugs and alcohol. And some other stuff.

Actually, hXc is hardcore, sXe is straight edge.

#150254 East Coast Nerfers, Assemble!

Posted by euphemism on 09 April 2008 - 04:44 PM in Nerf Wars

Aw man, I'm visiting the college I'm going to next year on the 12th.

#125183 Nation States And Ogame

Posted by euphemism on 06 October 2007 - 10:22 AM in Off Topic

I used to play nation states a while back and then I bought the book that it was made to promote (Jennifer Government) and it kicks ass.

#123255 Boston

Posted by euphemism on 16 September 2007 - 07:42 PM in Nerf Wars

Well you pretty much can't war in Boston (or hang Lite-Brites). However when it comes to near Boston there have been a number of wars in Milton. Other MA wars of note (that I can think of) have been in Lexington and Malden. Milton would be the closest to Boston but I don't have any reason to suspect that there will be any wars in Milton any time soon as the Milton Nerfing community is pretty much dead.

Anyway, good luck.

#116770 Mass War '07

Posted by euphemism on 22 July 2007 - 08:49 AM in Nerf Wars

Sorry I couldn't come, I've been in the Cape since monday and just got internet access now, hope it was fun.

#115000 Mass War '07

Posted by euphemism on 08 July 2007 - 12:33 AM in Nerf Wars

Yeah nerfer, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, the reason you make darts is to use/lose them in a war, no? That's the way I see it, so if I lose darts in a war I don't really worry about it. But you will lose some.

I haven't heard from euph in months. I'm sure that Milton's 5 or so nerfers are still alive, I just dunno if they browse the forums anymore. I hope they do, because another 5 would be great.

TS

I'm alive bitches!!! As far as nerf in milton, well who knows.

Here's the deal. The centerpiece of our little nerf collective went to college (RIT) and propagated nerf there but alas I was not up to keeping nerf going, at least during the school year. Soooo, it didn't keep going. Now there's nothing keeping it from going now really it's just hard to start it up again.

BUT! That is referring to random local small wars, as far as organized wars, we can get people. Also it's summer so Eric is in town making the people gathering more effective.

HOWEVER! Everyone here is lazy.

ALTHOUGH! if we can find a ride there and back then we shall come with some people.

NONETHELESS! Actually I'm out of counterpoints.

EVEN SO! I will continue this annoying post.

YET! I won't.

#107633 Nerfers Near Me

Posted by euphemism on 26 May 2007 - 08:30 AM in General Nerf

I have it on good authority that there is a significant nerfer presence at RIT.

#102489 T-shirt Size

I'm quite partial to the XL.

#102217 Titan Missile Launcher

Posted by euphemism on 15 April 2007 - 01:17 AM in Homemades

One fun thing is to have the bottles somewhat full of water, they fly pretty well (considering their weight) and have a nice trail of water.

#101958 Rifled Barrels

Posted by euphemism on 08 April 2007 - 05:49 PM in Homemades

I have nothing against the principle of rifled nerf barrels but I can tell you right now that those threads are no good for it (the twist rate is far to high). If you feel like taking some measurements and doing a little math then take a look at this formula for figuring out the correct twist rate. Of course figuring this out and applying it are two very different things.

#101360 Nerf Tech Target

Posted by euphemism on 24 March 2007 - 11:35 AM in General Nerf

Well fuck-shit-jesus, you're right, we should only yell at fucking idiots when they offend us with their goddamn cuss words. It's completely fucking ridiculous for people to get pissed when some fucker comes and says something as groundbreakingly retarded as "hey the TTG looks like a scout"

I completely agree with you Marine.

(I realize that the whole saying something with the word fuck a bunch 'o times in response to someone talking about swearing is a bit hackneyed but I feel it was needed)

#99248 Battle In The Pines!

Posted by euphemism on 03 February 2007 - 11:05 PM in Nerf Wars

I'm afraid I must put myself down as a tentative no.

#97098 Merry Christmas From...

Posted by euphemism on 25 December 2006 - 01:51 PM in Off Topic

Or schools calling their Christmas trees "holiday Trees".

I disagree with you on that, I think separation between church and state is one of the most important things in modern gov't. In private schools on they other hand they can have Xenu trees for all I care.

#97074 Merry Christmas From...

Posted by euphemism on 25 December 2006 - 02:57 AM in Off Topic

You guys are a little late on the Happy Hanukkah-ing. It ended on the 23rd. Anyway, happy Christian adaptation of a Pagan holiday.

#97013 What The Hell

Posted by euphemism on 24 December 2006 - 01:35 AM in Off Topic

I remember there was something involving running the "safe" version to fix it.

#96962 Google Patent Search!

Did anyone else notice the dildo is a heated dildo?

#95668 Online Fps's And Tps's

Posted by euphemism on 01 December 2006 - 01:36 PM in Off Topic

If you can run F.E.A.R. you should definitely get the multi-player portion for FREE at http://www.joinfear.com/main unless you already have the full version.

It is quite fun online and has a bunch of good game modes.

#95590 Online Fps's And Tps's

Posted by euphemism on 30 November 2006 - 02:42 PM in Off Topic

I've been known to play CS:S on occasion.

I much prefer the specialists half life mod and I also play F.E.A.R. online which is actually free.

#94431 One Mad Hokie

" But TS, WD40 eats rubber! "

But in all seriousness, don't SS2s use a more rubbery, and probably soluble, substance for their valves than the BF? I'm thinking the BF uses something closer to a hard plastic. If I am wrong, then nevermind, but if I am correct I'd recommend silicone spray or another rubber friendly lube.

#94217 I Have A Nerf Gun That Shoots Almost 400'

Posted by euphemism on 11 November 2006 - 11:32 PM in General Nerf

Just for the sake of argument, you never really see the dart during that entire video. Based on the gun's behavior it is clearly in the barrel when it fires but can anyone here say with confidence that they see a dart on the ground?

#93228 Who Watches Naruto?

Posted by euphemism on 29 October 2006 - 12:40 AM in Off Topic

Unfortunately, the next generations of Gundam were kinda disappointing. None of them, in my opinion, stood up to GW, but I only watched a couple episodes of the others.

TS

But I love gundam SD! It's revolutionary!

</sarcasm>

#93175 Who Watches Naruto?

Posted by euphemism on 28 October 2006 - 01:49 PM in Off Topic

Yeah, I've got nothing against anime but god damn.
A ninja that wears orange is like wearing camo while using bright orange nerf guns.

#93148 Who Watches Naruto?

Who Watches Naruto?

I love the black humor at the end of the "Paranoia" one.

"Coming Sooner than FEMA"... so bad

#91251 Firefly Front End Swappable Clip

Posted by euphemism on 04 October 2006 - 08:38 PM in Modifications

A friend of mine and I did a very similar mod a while ago. We did it a little differently, we didn't use the orange bit due to lazyness and also we did some madness with the two clear parts of the turret and some hot glue to prevent the turret from becoming stuck in too hard.

Unfortunately one time when my friend pulled it out of his bag the turret assembly was screwed up.

#90750 Eye Protection

Posted by euphemism on 28 September 2006 - 08:12 PM in General Nerf

I said no mainly because I wear glasses anyway and I consider myself quite good at dodging and have never been shot near the eye because if I see it coming I can at least turn my head in time.
The exception would be point-blank shots but 1. when do you let someone get that close in a war and 2. they have got to be a dick to shoot you in the face at that point.

Also I just noticed the quoting of me in your profile, Pat. I read it and thought it was great then I was like "Who said that again?" and I looked and saw it was me.

EDIT: I know my stance is likely to draw criticism but I have a point. And I still encourage eye protection for others, I just don't consider it an absolute necessity.

#90171 Female Rail Parts

It's made with two pieces of aluminum channel stock bolted to a thin piece of plywood.

#89660 High Powered Pistol(s)

Ever heard of a secret shot 2?

#89422 Briefcase Interagation

Posted by euphemism on 09 September 2006 - 07:37 PM in Modifications

I think a blastfire would be the way to go. it's got 5 semi-auto shots and a thin profile.

#89291 Any Maverick Semi Auto Mods Out There?

#89174 11 Year Old Children Should Not Posses Or Play With Airsoft Guns

Posted by euphemism on 06 September 2006 - 12:30 AM in Off Topic

Shouldn't this be on an airsoft forum?

To be fair, it's in off topic.

Anyway, I hate overly annoying people like how that kid's mom sounds. Then again, who doesn't?

#88703 Tom Clancy...

#88247 Dremel Nearly Killed Me

Posted by euphemism on 24 August 2006 - 07:09 PM in Off Topic

Happens to me all the time, especially when cutting somewhat thick metal at high revs. the shards can only really go perpendicular to the dremel, so just make sure no body (part) is there when cutting. Also you may wish to invest in fiberglass reinforced discs, I imagine they are more resistant to breakage.
One last note, ALWAYS USE SAFETY GOGGLES WHEN DREMELING.

EDIT: Didn't see cx's post, (or any of the others) mine is basically the same as theirs.
