JB Weld generally works well on everything, so it should work for the elbow. Just make sure to sand all pieces before applying the adhesive.

#294449 Write-up: Dart Tag Furyfire Modification

Posted by utahnerf on 13 February 2011 - 06:10 PM in Modifications

When you removed the air restrictors, you only removed the pegs. You should probably remove the whole thing, as to improve air flow.

#294546 Why Lock Threads In Off-topic?

Posted by utahnerf on 15 February 2011 - 10:04 PM in Site Feedback

We all wonder......... But seriously, it's stupid. Aren't off topic conversations fine in the Off Topic section?

#286491 Where Should I Post My Writeup?

Posted by utahnerf on 03 October 2010 - 12:58 PM in Off Topic

Don't post it in "Nerf Wars" if it's a modification.

#273409 West Valley, Ut War

Posted by utahnerf on 26 April 2010 - 03:01 PM in Nerf Wars

I would come, but I moved a couple years ago. Oh well. and I thought there weren't any nerfers in Utah!

#293106 Water Warriors Ultimate Bandit

Posted by utahnerf on 19 January 2011 - 07:33 AM in Modifications

I just noticed that the same type of trigger device is used inside of the Buzz Bee Ultimate Blast, with probably the same size wire.

#272241 War In Mi

Posted by utahnerf on 14 April 2010 - 08:37 PM in Nerf Wars

Where will the war be? I'm in Grosse Pointe (East side of Detroit). If it is not too far I could probably come.

#272310 War In Mi

Posted by utahnerf on 15 April 2010 - 02:44 PM in Nerf Wars

Probably can't come then. Too bad I moved from Rockford, by Grand Rapids. Damn you fate!

#272344 War In Mi

Posted by utahnerf on 15 April 2010 - 07:47 PM in Nerf Wars

Discontinued? Why can't someone make a solid war in MI, seriously. No one nerfs around me so I haven't made one. If people did, I would.

#298344 Very simple crossbow modification

Posted by utahnerf on 20 May 2011 - 11:09 PM in Modifications

On a more positive note, yes, this is a simple mod. But there is also the chance of taking a human core sample.

#295536 Vengeance 4

Posted by utahnerf on 07 March 2011 - 09:24 PM in Nerf Wars

I'm a maybe, depends on what's going on with school.

#290007 Underground

Posted by utahnerf on 04 December 2010 - 10:52 AM in Nerf Wars

Did you go through the tunnels and check them out for safety? Sounds pretty sketchy to me. Also, wouldn't this be trespassing? I wanna see some pics please!!

#290014 Underground

Posted by utahnerf on 04 December 2010 - 12:21 PM in Nerf Wars

Ok, sorry about that.

#299239 Tyco RC Rapid Assault

Posted by utahnerf on 03 June 2011 - 06:57 PM in Modifications

Hahahaha possibly one of the most amusing (and effective) write ups I've ever read. That thing looks VERY fun. Range/effectiveness is one thing, but amusement? This wins in that area. Great job!

EDIT: I love this new validation method, brings the good ones into the NH community.

#300493 Turtle Wax + Brass

Posted by utahnerf on 25 June 2011 - 12:57 AM in Modifications

It might work. This is what I used on my brass.

I've been wondering if someone other than myself uses auto cleaners/polishers/etc. for Nerfing purposes. I've been using scratch removers and waxes/cleaners for my blasters for the past year or so. I am a huge fan of the brand Armor All and Mothers. I have also found that using a paintball squeegee and waxing/cleaning the inside of my barrels adds about 10 extra feet of range. My brother is moving out in a year, so he has left all of his auto products to me. I use wax/cleaners on my paintjobs, as the wax adds an extra barrier for dirt, dust and skin oil. It has helped to preserve my PJs for years to come.

Also, for removing wax, I use Windex. I am also a fan of Future floor polish as a clear coat, as it is cheap as HELL.

#300746 Turtle Wax + Brass

Posted by utahnerf on 29 June 2011 - 12:50 PM in Modifications

Ok, I think I'll add that to my long list of things I still need to try and mod. Honestly, if this could seal up the space between the brass pieces nicely, you could make amazingly efficient triggers for dumping pilot air in BP tanks.

Be careful if you ever decide to put Future on a paint job, the paint must be completely cured. If it isn't, solvents will evaporate through the Future polish, causing crackling/cracking (I know this from experience).

#296083 Turn Any Webpage Into Katamari!

Posted by utahnerf on 15 March 2011 - 09:00 PM in Off Topic

Hella fun dude, I just did it on the "Overkill" topic and the Modifications Directory. It got HUGE.

#295478 Tornado Blast

Posted by utahnerf on 06 March 2011 - 09:32 PM in Modifications

I agree, the shell looks extremely comfortable. How big is that tank? Like, what tanks would it compare to in size?

#294397 Too Much Friction

Posted by utahnerf on 11 February 2011 - 09:28 PM in Modifications

If he can insert the rod, he probably doesn't need to size down. Only go smaller if you have to force it into the tube, with like.... force.

#294389 Too Much Friction

Posted by utahnerf on 11 February 2011 - 06:53 PM in Modifications

You only need to lightly lubricate the o-rings, so no, it will not clog the nipples. Also, the pressure would most likely push the lubricant out of the way of the nipples.

#294425 Too Much Friction

Posted by utahnerf on 12 February 2011 - 10:29 PM in Modifications

Yeah, and Ice uses it.

#269431 Today Only (march 17) Buy One Nerf Get 2nd Half Off

Posted by utahnerf on 17 March 2010 - 07:19 AM in General Nerf

Thanks for the coupon, but read the fine print, it says that the item that you are recieving the discount on must be equal or lesser value compared to the first gun you buy.

#288315 Titan Tank

Posted by utahnerf on 12 November 2010 - 07:57 PM in Modifications

Or, you could use an HPA paintball tank. I'm also a paintballer, and I used to use a Ninja Paintball 48/3000 tank (48 cubic inches, 3000 PSI). I believe they are around $35-$60. They don't give you the issues that Co2 has. Although, I don't think you would get many fills out of the tank, not enough to justify the price.

#284549 The Snap 7.5 Pump Crossbow

Posted by utahnerf on 01 September 2010 - 11:20 PM in Homemades

Nice design! It looks to be extremely solid and robust. I like that drilling method too, I've used it a couple of times while making slots for breeches.

#293862 The Arscb/aic

Posted by utahnerf on 03 February 2011 - 10:43 PM in Modifications

I thought that Mik guy quit Nerf, is he back now?

#293891 The Arscb/aic

Posted by utahnerf on 04 February 2011 - 06:43 PM in Modifications

Could you achieve similar results by attaching an rscb or a hopper clip to a previously automatic blaster, such as a magstrike or powerclip?

#290307 The .2k!

Posted by utahnerf on 06 December 2010 - 08:42 PM in Modifications

What glue did you use for the tubing?

#292247 The .2k!

Posted by utahnerf on 04 January 2011 - 09:43 PM in Modifications

I know it has been a few weeks since the last post, but what are the differences between Amazing Goop and Plumber's Goop? I have only used the Amazing type, and I have seen Plumber's in stores. Does Plumber's goop turn into a rubbery substance just like Amazing goop?

#290325 The .2k!

Posted by utahnerf on 06 December 2010 - 09:43 PM in Modifications

Other than the fact that you have to pump it 20-25 times. Hahaha

#289776 Target Exclusive Clear Vulcan

Posted by utahnerf on 02 December 2010 - 06:04 PM in General Nerf

I doubt Nerf will ever remake the Longshot, I believe that it was expensive for them to make, compared to the reverse plunger guns.

#289502 Talking To The Press.

Posted by utahnerf on 30 November 2010 - 04:55 PM in News

If you get caught talking to press about nerf guns you will no longer be welcomed at Nerf Haven. You will be banned permanently.

So did this happen to Vas? Just wondering, I can't find him on the member list.

#296972 Swarmfire Brass Turret Mod (hybrid Turret)

Posted by utahnerf on 31 March 2011 - 03:38 PM in Modifications

If I were you, I wouldn't use soft metals like brass or aluminum on the belt sander, they will damage the belts and melted flakes will attach themselves to your belts, severely decreasing the life of the belts. It would be best to use a dremel or regular sandpaper, just use low speeds on the dremel. Great job on the blaster!

#290462 Strongarm Modification

Posted by utahnerf on 08 December 2010 - 03:42 PM in Modifications

Seems like you're getting some lung cancer with your Strongarm too. Also, what size what a replaced plunger be?

#295336 Spy Gear Rocket Blaster

Posted by utahnerf on 04 March 2011 - 03:40 PM in Modifications

I need one(I'm lookin' at you, Buffdaddy). SVTSGRB, anyone?

Yes please.

Does lithium grease work for lubrication? (The stuff in the tube.)
