#203747 Missile Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 16 January 2009 - 12:11 AM in Modifications

I just walked down stairs to find my titan missile, and 1 from an XXL bazooka chewed up by my dog. I was wondering If anyone had a suggestion to make new ones. I've heard of pool noodles and pipe-insulation, but not for the XXL. Help?
EDIT- I'm mainly interested in the XXL missiles, because that gun is just so fun to use.

I cut down the bolt to the same size as in the picture, but none of my brass pieces can fit all the way through. Do I have to sand down the inside of the bolt piece?

#214752 Angel Breech Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 24 February 2009 - 07:50 PM in Modifications

At first I had forgotten the O-ring, but then I saw it was missing. I'll go mess with it some more and see if I can find the problem.

#214614 Angel Breech Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 24 February 2009 - 01:19 AM in Modifications

When I blow down the breech I hear air leacking at the plunger tube area where the brass comes out. In angels writeup he says:;

If you here air leaking near the plunger then that is not an issue because we will deal with that later.

I looked through the rest of the post and couldn't find anything that looked like a fix. Help would be appreciated.

#199763 Sm750 Problems

Posted by umpshaplapa on 30 December 2008 - 12:16 PM in Modifications

Fuck man 44 times? I hope that is a typo. I told you to pump the thing 4 times. Yeah, 44 times would shoot the check valve to hell. That's likely your problem. I know you can buy check valves from McMaster.

I think his tank would explode before the valve died.
The same thing happened to me with an AT2k pump. The pump would shoot back out if you tried to pump it. But ya, it's the check valve in your pump.

#201390 At2k Luck?

Posted by umpshaplapa on 05 January 2009 - 11:13 PM in Modifications

That's good though, less dead space.

I know. Actually I think this could be quite lucky on my part. It makes me worry about the dump valve though.

That's normal. All mine did the same.

I must be unlucky. Haha

I was ripping of the the pole part that comes out of the 2k tank, to get a better flow and all that. If im not mistaken it allways brakes off at the end of the bulge that comes out of the 2k tank, but this is what happened to mine.

I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else?

I'm sorry about the blurry pics, I can't find my camera and I have to use my iphone camera, which isn't good up-close.

Use plumbers goop. Work's better than anything I've tried.

If you cut it off, just slap some goop in there and it will be fine.

#206399 Big Salvo Problems

Posted by umpshaplapa on 25 January 2009 - 07:27 PM in Modifications

I'll try it. Thanks, I'm pretty sure you're talking about Q-tips right? Haha. I don't know much about Big Salvo's But I didn't even open it up, I just stuck 10" CPVC barrels down each existing barrel with some e-tape on each and I'm getting about 110'-120' ranges level. Is it supposed to be that awesome?

Without a plugged pump? It seems a little unlikely to me, but who knows? Maybe you have an exceptionally powerful one.

#219424 Big Salvo Tank Question

Posted by umpshaplapa on 23 March 2009 - 03:09 PM in Modifications

If I connected the tubing from two big salvo tanks with a tee, and then connected that tee to an SMDTG trigger, would the tanks lose any pressure/range? I'm not sure how the air goes into the tank(s) through the SMDTG trigger, so I was seeing if anybody could help.

#222663 Lock And Load Keyring Replacement

It really hasn't snapped? It seems like it wouldn't stand up to repeated use. Maybe you could use some wire, and rap that in E-tape?

I'm making a SnapBow, and I can't seem to cut the nail the right length on my trigger. Does anybody have a picture of how much it should stick into the tube? or a Length would be even better.

#226744 Stefan Dart Tutorial Video

My only complaint is not straightening your foam before you make the dart. I would use a ruler also, make your darts as consistent as possible.

#212340 Deoderant Clip

Posted by umpshaplapa on 14 February 2009 - 11:23 PM in Modifications

I made a deodorant clip for a breach I made, and I'm having trouble loading it. If I try to load a dart it, the weighted side goes straight down. The darts are barely shorter than the card board I have inserted in the clip.

Am I doing something wrong?

#200701 Doomsayer Question

Posted by umpshaplapa on 02 January 2009 - 10:24 PM in Modifications

Get a hair dryer and set it to high put the peice under it for like 5-10 min. then try.

Does that work better than boiling water? I've been trying that method with bad results.

#200660 Doomsayer Question

Posted by umpshaplapa on 02 January 2009 - 07:20 PM in Modifications

So I've opened up my doomsayer-to-be (hopefully) and I can't get the rubber plunger head back on. Getting it off was pretty easy but back on is impossible!
I was just seeing if you guys had any tips to help.

edit- 1 more question. Do you guys think that brass would be to heavy to use as barrelling (sp?) material? I saw that a guy did it with PVC but I was worried about how long that would last.

#200692 Doomsayer Question

Posted by umpshaplapa on 02 January 2009 - 09:46 PM in Modifications

Dude, if you use brass it will cost a lot more than it should, then you would must likely want to nest it for protection from the tarnish monsters. So you would then have 24' of tubing on the end of your weapon.

Good point, hadn't thought of that.

#222181 Sm1500 Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 07 April 2009 - 03:27 PM in Modifications

Pictures would really help.

I can't. My mom took my camera to florida and my iPhone can't get good resolution and super close. Are you familiar with how a 2k turret seals? It's the exact same way.

#222176 Sm1500 Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 07 April 2009 - 03:06 PM in Modifications

I recently got a SM1500, and was looking forward to modding it. The previous modder has just taped on some PVC barrels, and then put about 15 layers of duct tape on that. After digging through all that shit I looked at the turret. I realized that the barrels weren't sealing with the back part of the turret that connects to the tank. Has this happened to anybody before? I searched and couldn't find anything.

Also, it's a new style 1500. I don't know if that helps or not.

#222198 Sm1500 Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 07 April 2009 - 04:14 PM in Modifications

I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear. I'm not talking about the tank to turret seal. I'm talking about the seal between the back part of the turret and the front part that rotates.

#222216 Sm1500 Help

Posted by umpshaplapa on 07 April 2009 - 04:44 PM in Modifications

I'm talking about the seal between the back part of the turret and the front part that rotates.

..So after you rotate it there is still a gap between the front and back parts?

From what I know about an AT2K turret, it sounds like the front part partially slid off the metal bar that goes through it....(I'm assuming that that it's exactly the same in the SM1500.)

Yes, exactly. I rotate and there's still the gap. I'll go look and your idea of the bar.

#200720 Doomsayer Question

Posted by umpshaplapa on 02 January 2009 - 11:03 PM in Modifications

Whatever you do, do not cut the plunger head to fit back on, I did that and now it won't stay on...

Do you mean like cut straight through it and then glue it together?
