WASHINGTON WARFARE NEW LOCATION

Hey, sorry I keep changing the forum, due to popular demand, I think it would be wiser to move the war to a new location. This is a park, were there will plenty of space for us and others, and has a place for us to meet. Magnolia Park.
Park details:
12.1 acres
trees, and green space
restrooms
and picnic/meeting area (MEET HERE)

This will provide us with a proper space for a nerf war. I hope you enjoy this new location.

War Details:
Date: July 16th
Time: 10 am

What to Bring: Guns (I am not going to have many loaners, so yea), darts (label!!!), Money (to buy/sell), friends, eye protection (REQUIRED NO MATTER HOW OLD), lunch (we will not supply lunch), and your A game.

Don’t Bring: Harmful Guns (Titans, dangerous big blasts, overpowered air guns, etc.), Tack/push pin/whatever darts (NO DEATH DARTS as I call them. We are trying to keep nerf modding positive!), and a bad mood

Requirements (yes there are some): I don’t want you, or anyone else to be a jerk.
Also I want this war to be mature don’t be stupid.
Homemades are allowed but keep in mind NO HARMFUL GUNS! Let’s be smart guys.
Eye protection! I DON”T CARE HOW OLD YOU ARE, IT’S A MUST!!!
Swords must pass the hurtful test. We hit you with it as hard as we can.
Don't shoot at harmless pedestrians. Tantumbull knows what happens (FLASHBACK: stephan to the head then, ambulance, WEEEEEOOO WEEEO WEEEOOOO

I live several miles away from Gasworks, and have considered it as a nerf venue before. Unfortunately the park sees A LOT of pedestrians, especially during the summer, which pretty much immediately invalidates it for nerfing. Sorry guys, but you can't really nerf with modified/homemade blasters in an area with so many non-participants. There's also a police station RIGHT by there, and the park gets a lot of attention by cops looking for kids smoking bud or drinking. Its really just a bad idea in general to have a war there.

I ahve emailed the park, and they said, its ok. Plus, its 19 acres, so we won't bother anyone.

I guess I stand corrected then, I'm pretty suprised that they're okay with it. I know the park pretty well, though, and can't think of anywhere that doesn't get a lot of people. Yes, it's 19 acres, but most of that sees a lot of people. Where were you thinking?

Edit: I see you've posted the map now. Well I guess if you got a go-ahead from the parks and rec then you should be okay, but I do hope they know that these aren't stock blasters. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable nerfing there (there's a playground like right there which attracts small children), but that's just me - as long as the city knows what's up then you have the right to do whatever. I'm not trying to be a downer, I just know how parents get from experience when people are shooting stefans near their kids.

So do you know if you can come, we would love to have you.

My bad for the late reply.

Good war guy's. It's was pretty fun.

Pros:

Meeting some new people.

Trying out some of my new snaps that I made.

Having the weather stay nice for the whole war.

Cons:

Having my one snap not work as well as I thought it would.

Batteries dying in my camera about mid way through the war.

Too many people in the park.

I will have the pics up soon.

Overall a good war. Looking forward to the next one. Speaking of which let's start tossing some dates out there?

I might not be here in July (I still be hosting my war), and knowing in our area, none is going to APOC, so August 6th would work for me. I'll also hopefully bring 2-3 friends this time if they don't bail on me. Also, I talked to Kimchi47 through youtube, and he'll be there whenever it is plus 1 friend for him.

Nice! The 23rd is open to me currently, but I might be signing up for a sports clinic that weekend so I'm not sure. There's still over a month 'till though, so I'll update. I hope to make it!
Out of curiosity, how was the turnout at 2.2?

About 18 people, but a lot of new guys I heard. So, there should 20+ if they all come.

I might be able to make it. When i used to do airsoft the police made us put up signs as warning just in case anyone happened to walk on to the field. Just thought i'd put that out there.

hopper magazines - $5 for the wye, 18" PVC orange-tipped barrel, 18" PVC capped magazine, and a short tube of PVC to fit PVC couplers.

ghetturrets - $5 for a 6-shot CPVC not-quite-a-turret - you have to pull it forward, rotate it, then seat it. Fits PVC couplers.

Round 2 is about to begin!
We had a small adtendandce the last war, but hopefully we won't have rain this time. Anyway let's start planning. also, 4 out of the 6 Crazydays561 members will be there!!! So if you want to meet us, now and at this war is the time.

Rule:
-I'm not going to names but we had a few cry baby's. I am allowing any age but u have to take the hit and be mature.
-The only guns restricted are pump plugged bbbb and bumb, titans firing darts. And any gun that shoots over 150 FLAT!!!
-Don't be an asshole, not one person but everyone decides the gametypes. I have to work on this as well but the first step is admitting your mistakes.
-Also I heard about some of the issues at effeninate 2.3. I wasn't there so I don't exactly know what happened, but I don't want that here!

Sorry I don't want to sound like a jerk but there was some confusion about this at the last war. (it was many's first too.)
