Come and celebrate the six month anniversary of the SCNW Club, Chicago's premiere group of superstock war-goers and enthusiasts.
This event will be a first for us, an indoor war at Laser X, located approximately thirty minutes outside Chicago, a multifloor laser tag arena where we will be free to fling foam and run exciting CQB games. Because this is a private venue, there is a price per head, which will not exceed $30. The attendance level will be what determines if the price declines, but expect to either pay $30 at the door, or Paypal ahead of time.
Who: The Southwest Chicago Suburban Nerf Wars Club
What: Indoor Laser Tag Arena, Nerf Blasters, Good Times
Where: Laser X, Addison IL
When: Sunday, September 6th, from 8am-2pm
How (much): This is a paid event. $30 a head for a six hour block on rounds.
Rules: General superstock fare. Darts will be provided courtesy of the SCSNW Club. Yes, your Vortex and Rival blasters are fair game.
I think this is going to be a fun war.

As far as games as large as these go, I think your best bet would be to keep it cool, relaxed, and casual for the players who most certainly are not even aware of modified blasters. It has been my experience in playing HvZ the past five years that for every one dedicated player, there are a dozen players who treat HvZ as a social event, and less the faux-larp it should be.
It may be best to simply keep all blasters bone stock, with the exception of external accessories (slings, lights, etc...). Depending on when this happens, and the size of the event, I may be willing to make the trek over for it.

I've been wondering the same thing, because the Stampede I own says the same thing. It's cool, because the ECS-50 is actually raised on the plastic, and not just painted on. I think you are maybe the second or third other person I have heard actually owning a Stampede like this.Were they from an early production run? Any specifics would be appreciated.

Where the in the world did you hear that? I hope you're not referring to the Hulk Titan & Hornet set, because I'm pretty sure that that's just a promo gun. But if you are right, I need a green LS!.I have Nerf is making every blaster again in green and one more color. I think it is red or purple.

Oh crap, I didn't even notice the Sulaco was a FF! I think that's the comedy of a sweded film though, it has a cheesy undertone full of intentional mistakes.That is hilarious! They used the firefly both as a gun and as their space ship.
Very fulotnny. They could have had a much better quality with a bit of animation. And by taking the sticker off of the battery she used as a stick shift.

I was on an Aliens (My personally favorite film ever) fansite I frequent a lot, and a user posted these.
Aliens: Sweded Edition Part 1
Aliens: Sweded Part 2
I noticed a few of the Colonial Marines in the movie were armed with Nerf blasters. The two I noticed were a Ballzooka and a really neat Firefly cosmetic mod. I thought they were pretty cool, and I thought someone on here might enjoy them as much as I did.
You'll also find this 100X awesomer if you have already seen Aliens before.
