The problem is that it is too thin to fit the whole turret part. The vinyl is also only like two inches long, so it wont hurt that much.That's pretty nice z80. I've never seen that gun before.
I have Vinyl connecting the turret to the airtank. It's pretty nice, gets decent range with good ROF.
I think getting rid of that vinyl tubing and connecting the airtank directly to the turret will increase ranges by a bit.

Yeah, imaginary barrels suck.I would add a real barrell and mount it on a gauntlet.

Thanks. Its actually some 1.5" PVC (I beleive, I got it from my friend) Fits just around the turret after you grind down those little nubs on the side. It's very sturdy, but I took it off, so I could use different barrels, and because there was a seal problem.
Is that a piece of somewhat-large PVC connecting the back of the turret to the gun?
I'm so proud...lol.
Looks great!

Whoa. I did like the SAME thing to my sm500. The check valve kicked the bucket, so I figured a 2k pump would work well. Weird...SMG:

Do you think it would require like media clearance or anything? I would consider trying to go up if I can just go right in and take pictures.Is there anyone affiliated with this site in anyway that has the time on Saturday to go take pictures at Hasbro's NY Office?
He was quoting my post which was actually my own comments concerning the impracticality of my design. I'll wait to form a complete opinion when I know more about how the Vulcan actually works, but my intuition tells me that it's not going to be a terribly useful weapon for typical Nerf Wars. Like you said, geared towards the purchase motivations of the average consumer and not us.Cap'n Slug's post notwithstanding (he feels it may be counterintuitive to the spirit of Nerfing, he didn't make a judgment call on the blaster itself).

I agree, I think it's just for aesthetic value.I don't. That piece (considering the size of the blaster) looks way too high up to be easily reached by your thumb.Does anyone else see two triggers on the gun? The button on the top of the grip and the actual trigger. Could one of these be the motor button and the other be the belt feed trigger?
Also, I'm going to talk with my friend about going in to the city on saturday.

*facepalm*This thread runs in circles. This has been discussed before...Car battery=12V, 6 C batteries=9V. Only 3V difference. Not to mention that the car battery would have too much amperage for a small electric motor to handle.Battery powered=fail.
Seriously, to get a decent amount of range you would have to add an actual "good" spring and to fire a "good" spring you would probably have to hook it up to a car battery.
When will this thread end?
Amperage is determined by the device, not the power source.
V=IR
Voltage=12 v
I is current
R is resistance of the motor. As the resistance increases, aperage decreases.

Except the power wouldnt be any different from a 12V battery, it just would have much longer life. Also, sulfuric acid is in the battery. As long as you arent breaking the battery apart, tis alright.BAD IDEA. Car batteries are serious. You certainly don't need that much power, and neither lead nor sulfuric acid is fun stuff.One wonders how much work it would take to rig a backpack car battery.
It's still a stupid Idea, a nice LiPoly battery would be cheaper, rechargable and a fuck ton lighter.

We need internals for the damned thing. I could care less about external shots.

Ummm, the Magstrike holds ten bullets, not six.The Magstrike to me looks a lot like a Blastfire with a clip. Only one more shot and a little airtank/stock combo. Surely, it's going to be a hit among the community. I don't think the PC is going to go out of style though. There's going to be plenty of others that prefer 4 more shots to the stock & airtank. I know that would likely pertain to me. However, I do intend to invest in the Magstrike.

Ive used that on my AT2k, LBB and NF. Works great with matchsticks too.I would recomend the use of hollowed out crayola markers inside a length of 1/2" SCH40 PVC for guns that use stock micros.

Does this mean I can use the national geographic gun?Oh, and if you find the guy who first modded the 5k or the titan, feel free to make that argument. Otherwise, shut up. The only person that's gonna make this decision is Kuhlshrank. Anyway, back to the war. Stu

The question isn't really that he's unconfortable, it's whether you guys are considering glasses as eye protection. At least thats what I think he means. I also am in a similar situation, so any info would help.Just buy him (or get him to buy) a pair of clear plastic safety glasses if he is uncomfortable with using his regular glasses as eye protection. Problem solved.
Bottom line is: he needs something to protect his eyes if he's under 18.

No it's not. The piston acts as a regulator valve.I'm just throwing this out there, but in my experience, cpvc works better in plunger guns. Yes, this is a plunger gun, the air is the cocking method. I may do angles mod but relocate the trigger so I can actuate the trigger valve with a solenoid and supply air via paintball "nitro" tank.
