Ok, here is how to fix your problem, i doubt that you are missing a part but what happens with some powerclips is that the clip does not fix tightly enough in the gun and the clip just slides back down after going up. what you do is put two strips of electrical tape on the edges of the clip. this is hard to explain but here we go... they are the two edges that stick out from the front of the clip and you want to fold the electrical tape around both rounded edges so that the clip fits more tightly into the gun. Just thought that I would do a quick write up for those just begining or with limited supplies, enjoy! This mod will allow you to fire homemade mirco's or regular nerf mirco's. Also, if you would like to purchase a pre-modded (this mod or a different one) at2k or a nib one so that you can do you own mod please contact me!

First, find a hard, uncluttered table. You need at least a three-foot diameter clear for working space. Next, gather these supplies:

1. The Gun
2. Small, skinny Phillips head screwdriver
3. Hot Glue Gun and lots of glue

Start by unscrewing the screws from the casing. After that, grab the back of the gun, and making sure all of the screws are out, pull apart until a red cap pops off the casing and the gun opens. Remove the pump from its tube and fill the hole on the top with hot glue. When it dries, replace the pump. Apply hot glue to the spring on the valve pin to make it harder to compress. Moving on, take out the orange barrel assemble and, after taking out all of its three (you might have to rotate the barrels to see the ones at the bottom) screws, rip off the four barrels. Some springs and air restrictors should pop out, if not, use your screwdriver to get the stuff out. Replace the barrels with some hot glue and screw the gun back together, forget the cap. The result of this mod should hopefully be a farther shooting, more accurate gun. Make sure not to over-pump it, since you plugged the air release valve, four to five should be enough, six if you really have to.

It got 20 feet more range...120', and also was accurate to 105', which is about 25' more accuracy. that is what you said when talking about your expaned air tank single barrel. now this is what you said about you multi.
Dont single it...My multi-barreled 2k goes farther than my singled*...and multi-barreled has alot more rof...

i do not question black wraths sm5k i have no doubt that you work very hard on that gun. my 5k does not get those ranges. my 2k is a weapon that i put a lot of work into and i don't like it when people question the ranges i say that i get. they are what they are. I am not perfect, the wind could have affected the darts or i could have jerked the gun upword a bit as i pulled the trigger. but these are the ranges that i believe that i got, measured with an 100' tape measure. remember when you said that your multi barrel got better ranges then your single barrel? and also how you said that your single barrle gets 120'. that would mean that your multi barrel gets what maby like 135' which would be better than black wraths 5k interesting... and so what range did your blast fires get, the semi auto ones?
wow!!! you have great guns Gayb- i mean thirst you have a multi barrel at2k that get upwards of 120' and what is this about my mshot? and dude, i have more guns than you have pubes :cry:

jk you don't have any... oh well back on topic, i have exsactly 57 foam shooting guns that fire. and if you want to talk night finders then mine gets 89' and my my brothers tech target that i modded gets a little above that. my lnl gets 75' and i have more original modifications/integrations than you. period.

SHIT, I just had a really long responce that i just tried to post but got the " cannot find page crap" damn oh well here goes again.

Starting with cxwq,
1. Would you call the max shot a home made too, it has some pvc or cvpc incorperated?
2. The trigger is stiffer on a 2k and i personally can pull it faster. i also did a bic pen mod on it.

THIRST,
1. Your tiny expansion make almost no difference in range, look at the mods section and click on the top mod thing the one about the goo gage experimant. Also, i take your saying that expanding the airtank is worthless as in insult to my modding skills.
2. My words were not against your modding skills, but against your mod, like i said all you did was drain the goo gage, so you have no right to say how bad expanded airtanks are because you have never seen one with a significant expansion.
3. My gun takes less time to prime than a 5k. and if you want to see some ugly guns let me refer you to this.
Don't insult my guns.

I do not want to start a topic like L@@K MY GUNZ BLOW HOLES THROUGH CONCRETE AT 277 FEET. but i would like to say that the only guns that i have that excede normal ranges are:
1.my 5k - 110' level shot, level ground.
2. my expanded airtank 2k- 140 level shot and ground.
3. Ironically, my de-expanded xp-75 super soaker gets the best range of all. the big water tank has been replaced with about 6" of pvc so that you only beed to pump it 6 times utill you get ranges of around 160' everything level.

THIRST,
All pf your creative mods have been with the blastfire, which I think is an overrated gun because after modding 5 myself i found that they gennerally get 70-80' at a slight angle. They have a very bad trigger pull and aren't terribly accurrate. The one thing that make them special is their semi auto capabilities. I would rather have four good shots with a 2k than 5 faster OK shots with a blastfire.

No, you don't understand, the airtank is about 1 1/2 times the size of a 5k because the airtank is like 6" of pvc with a big endcap. the shot might have been at a slight angle about 5 degrees. also the valve on an at2k releases air faster than a 5k so i get better range. will say more later but have to go now.

I have modded about 5 at2k's with that problem. If you are talking about how air will start leaking out as you pull the trigger then what you need to do is, first, determine how bad the leak is. in order to do this you pump it up and then pull the pin. if you get a decent amount of air to shoot out then try doing a very exact bic pen mod. this should shorten your trigger pull enough to shoot the gun with minimal leakage.

Thank you, Thirst, for explaining that pressure is the main factor in the distance that you get. But, the trick is to find the right balance of barrel friction, air pressure, amount of air, and barrel length. for an at3k with an expanded airtank of that size, 20-25 pumps will give you better range. The downside is that your expanded airtank decreases the rof, which is what the at3k has over the at2k. So to say simply what i am trying to get accross, if you are going to do my expanded airtank mod on the airtech series(which i have been doing for six months.)

1. Give me credit
2. It works best on the at2k
3. Don't over do it, 3-5" of pvc will give you 10-15 pumps and tons of range.
4. Cpvc is the best barrel material for expanded airtanks because it provides lots of barrel friction which works because of a large amount of air at a high pressure.(Use brass size darts, they should fit tightly.)

The purpose of this modification was, for me, to help make the at2k into one of the most moddable guns. i.e. it can be made into a assault wepon, a reliable, and very stong pump pistol, and a long range "loser."

As an afternote, you really need to learn how to cut brass.

Ok, here are my main weapons. first is a switch shots max that has been heavily modded to make it into what i belive is the most versitile gun ever created, right up there with my max shot. its airtank has been reduced so it only takes 7 pumps to prime and its barrel assembly has been replaced with one from a sm1500 to achive a better seal and make it more sturdy and reliable.My second gun is a at2k inside of a sm1500 casing. the airtank has been expanded to allow 10 pumps. I would like to receive credit as the first person to expand the airtank of an at2k. i know that this part of the post should probably go in mods... but oh well here it is. First you take a hacksaw to the tip of the orange goey chamber then, using a screwdriver, poke a hole in the rubber membrane below. pvc will fit right over the solid orange part. use pvc cement to put an endcap on the pvc and then cement the pvc to the orange stub.

ranges on these guns are.

switch shots max single barrel side- 140-150 feet at a slight angle
switch shots max 4 barrel side- 90-100 feet
at2k expanded air tank- 145- 155 feet at a slight angle

Here is a mod that I did after having to reconnect the spring :angry:

(if you need instructions on how to do that pm me) what I did was take a odd pvc piece and after chopping out the air restrictor crap, was able to screw in. CPVC fits right into it for a cool breach loader.
