#330283 ESLT Blaster Build Guide

Posted by ggk on 27 May 2013 - 09:20 AM in Homemades

Have you considered using one of these oring lip seals underneath your bushing to increase seal on plunger rod?
Idk if it matters, I just wondered.

Nice Venom. Glad someone finally used the Spring plunger indexing method I talked about a few years ago. Have you considered using the oring loaded seals I was working on? I had great luck with them a couple years back on an auto indexing 3k with rear loading.

#287233 The Clothespin Trigger Mk2

Posted by ggk on 20 October 2010 - 11:20 AM in Homemades

Sorry bout that some how missed that line.
Any idea how long it might need to be? Somewhere <1" would be my guess.

#287231 The Clothespin Trigger Mk2

Posted by ggk on 20 October 2010 - 11:07 AM in Homemades

For the aluminum tube in the trigger have you thought of using a small threaded spacer?
Use a pan head screw on the clothes pin side and on the side with a catch use a flat head screw countersunk into the 1/2"pvc.

Real interesting idea though might give it a shot if I ever make a snap.

My bag is packed and ready, if anyone wants to buy something please let me know so I can pack it. I can't wait for this, it is so going to be worth the drive down with Coop and Lynx.

I am pretty sure no drive with lynx is worth it.

I have a few questions about the template what size pvc is it made of? and when you use the template do you cut slits in the foam to slide the craft foam into before gluing or no?

Plexiglass aka acrylic is some of the most brittle stuff around. Aj you are prob thinking of polycarbonate.

#263374 Handmade Nf Plunger Rod

Posted by ggk on 27 January 2010 - 12:47 AM in Modifications

The little display that the light gray rod was in said it was nylon and for the price you could buy better stuff.
I am telling you that that light gray stuff from the hobby store is not good for being a plunger rod. I used the stuff and it broke. It also hard to get a plunger head attached to.If you need a pic cause you dont believe me then I will see what I can do.

If you need one made I have some extra pvc rod and I could make one or sell just as much as you need.

#263306 Handmade Nf Plunger Rod

Posted by ggk on 26 January 2010 - 06:15 PM in Modifications

lucian that material is not very strong and will most likely break at the catch. I tried it and that is what it did for me.

#263299 Handmade Nf Plunger Rod

Posted by ggk on 26 January 2010 - 05:37 PM in Modifications

3/8" square pvc rod works well too and it is not nearly as expensive as nylon.
I used it on my nf with a full length [k26] spring and it is holding well.

#262963 The First Look At The Tetrastrike

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I am wondering if you could take a pic with another airtank that we know the size of.

#260928 Homebrew Backpressure Semi Auto Valve

Posted by ggk on 06 January 2010 - 11:52 AM in Homemades

That yellow part is a backpressure air tank. Most likely it is representing an air tank from a big salvo.

#259255 Soda Bottle Nerf Gun

Posted by ggk on 17 December 2009 - 03:28 PM in Homemades

Here is that link
I dont see the point in making one because it would be banned. Mind as well just buy a cobra or something.

#259218 Semi-automatic Valve

Posted by ggk on 16 December 2009 - 11:32 PM in Modifications

Great idea. I really do like it, but I do have a concern. My concern is with how long the trigger stroke is compared to the allowable range of motion of the valve before it leaks. I know you said you measured it. But it really looks like it may leak. I may be wrong though.

I look forward to it being together in a shell.

#257139 Winter Ohio War 2009

Posted by ggk on 23 November 2009 - 08:16 PM in Nerf Wars

Remember kiddos, its about safety.

Lol, you're probably the youngest person who plays in central Ohio...

And for zombies, I think we should do a blanket ban on any blaster that can fire over 50-60' flat. This is to give the zombies a chance to get close to the humans and for the safety of the zombies.

By the way, I'm now a definite + 0-2.

I agree on the ban for zombies but lynx isn't the youngest to play in central Ohio it's me.

Yeah, because Cincinnati is definitely in central Ohio...

lol, but I paly in Centeral Ohio

Gah, you got me. I admit defeat. Whoah, I hate losing to 12 year olds.

If i were you I would just be sick of losing. Just messing Lynx

I don't think I am going to make it to this one; it it the weekend before finals I will be studying.

#252994 Adjustable Homemade Oprv

Would venting the over pressure release valve back to the tank make a makeshift regulator?

#252963 Will This Explode?

Posted by ggk on 08 October 2009 - 05:54 PM in General Nerf

You could place one of those custom oprvs after the check valve for the ms.

#252730 Columbus War 1.1

Posted by ggk on 05 October 2009 - 11:46 PM in Nerf Wars

Cons
I think it needed more death match.
I did come home with many darts.
wind!!!
coops curved barrels.
my trusty 4b breaking.(nothing a little hot glue or goop and scrap plastic wouldnt fix)

Pros
Doing well with longshots.
Only bringing 90 or so darts and did not run out.
Getting to nerf.

#251818 Raider-cs 35 Drum Clip

Posted by ggk on 27 September 2009 - 10:45 AM in Modifications

If anyone has any measurements of the spacer needed to make the raider stefan clip(id of the center of the drum, the od of the drum and the number of spots for darts/ diameter of those half circles ) I could draw something up on cad real quick, so they have a good template.

#251674 Dt3 Pistol With New Internals

Posted by ggk on 26 September 2009 - 01:48 AM in Modifications

My question is why did you not make the plunger tube longer? It appears that a longer one would fit without much work.

Oh nice mod, makes me want a dt3.

#250040 Columbus War 1.1

#248128 Barrel Spacer Templates

Posted by ggk on 22 August 2009 - 01:55 PM in Homemades

Get a 1/2" wooden dowel cut it down the center, but not all the way. Sled a peice of sandpaper in the grove and wrap the excess sand paper around the dowel put it in your drill chuck end run it through he 9/16" drilled holes until the petg fits.

Hope that helps.
