#263649 Finding A Blaster For A Friend In A Power Chair.

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 29 January 2010 - 11:08 AM in General Nerf

I would suggest a lever-action blaster, such as the Pistolsplat, Maxshot, ect. It's not that hard for me to prime my PS with one hand. Or like Badwrench suggested with the Raider.

#249332 Help With My Rscb

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 01 September 2009 - 02:33 PM in Modifications

Do you have something at the back preventing the air from coming out, like a ball valve or something like that?

What kind of a dumb question is that?

I don't see how that's a dumb question. If you don't have anything preventing the air from escaping out the back you're going to loose range.

At2k's haven't even been around for 10 years.

#248057 District 9

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 21 August 2009 - 10:37 PM in Off Topic

As sick as District 9 looks they were gonna make a Halo movie instead and decided not to. District 9 is cool but I bet halo would've been cooler.

Movies based on video games almost always suck. So, no, it wouldn't have been better.

#243447 Guide To Barrel Material

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 23 July 2009 - 10:19 PM in Modifications

Another option that would take a lot more time is sanding out the CPVC, using a round file or drilling it out.

Wouldn't that cause more friction when the dart is fired?

I never even thought about that.

Does anyone know of a barrel material that is slightly looser than CPVC?

9/16 PETG is just a bit looser than 1/2 CPVC. Also check different sizes of brass.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this already but how exactly do you load the Barrel drum clip? Is it loaded just like the 6 shot clips or do they have a pannel that comes off?

It's loaded just like the clips. But alot more darts.

If you can't IMMEDIATELY identify both of those nerfers, you don't deserve to be on these forums.

Pooh. I can't recognize either. But then again, I have NEVER been to a NIC war...

Maybe I should leave now....

Neither have I, but even I know who it is.

#237108 Longshot Banana Clip

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 18 June 2009 - 11:07 AM in Modifications

I really wish people would stop taping magazines together and calling them "Banana Clips". That's NOT what a "banana clip" is. A "banana clip" is a curved magazine, like on an AK-47 or an MP-5.

What you are making is just a pair off goddamn magazines duct taped together, that is what is known as a "dual magazine". Not saying it wasn't a good idea, but it's not a "Banana Clip".

To re-iterate:

This is a "Banana" Magazine, it is called that because of it's shape
[Image]

And stop calling magazines clips. The Recon, Longshot, Shell Shock, RFR, and the upcoming Raider use Magazines. To illustrate the difference between a "clip" and a "magazine"

For a forum that places such importance on grammar and post quality, it always boggles me that such a thing goes unnoticed.

I realize that to many of you, the difference is semantic, but it's like calling a kettle a skillet, or a coffee mug a martini glass.

Sorry to be off topic but, I think the main reason people call them clips is because nerf does. Look at a Longshot box it says "2 Quick-reload clips".

Get a new one? I don't know the size of the df's catch spring, but you might be able to use a spring out of a clicky pen. If not, Ace has a great selection of springs.

#236846 ¿turret?

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 16 June 2009 - 09:17 PM in General Nerf

You are obviously still on the same page that UberKuhlMan was on. The turret in that case is not referring to the rotating cylinder on a firearm, but is referring to a gunners seat or a platform on which a firearm is mounted.

Well, I did a little more searching and found this on Thefreedictionary.com.

1. A small tower or tower-shaped projection on a building.
2.
a. A low, heavily armored structure, usually rotating horizontally, containing mounted guns and their gunners or crew, as on a warship or tank.
b. A domelike gunner's enclosure projecting from the fuselage of a combat aircraft.
3. A tall wooden structure mounted on wheels and used in ancient warfare by besiegers to scale the walls of an enemy fortress.
4. An attachment for a lathe consisting of a rotating cylindrical block holding various cutting tools.
5. A rotating device holding various lenses, as for a microscope, allowing easy switching from one lens to another.

Almost all of them mention rotating. Maybe thats why the first nerfer to call it a turret did.

Also here. http://www.merriam-w...ctionary/turret

2 a: a pivoted and revolvable holder in a machine tool.

A gun could be considered a "machine tool".

Second paragraph down.

#235870 Dart Problem

Posted by Sk0rpion 777 on 12 June 2009 - 04:23 PM in General Nerf

Listen to Talio and throw the copper away. Get either cpvc, pvc, petg, or brass.

Are you sure it is copper not brass? Copper is a red color. I think it is brass because I do not believe that there is such a thing as 9/16 copper.

Since when is copper red?

Copper has a reddish tint.

#235500 What Screwdrivers Do You Use?
