Quite understandable, and while campus nerf is not quite my type of nerf, I would probably be interested in attending the outdoor slug war as long as no other obligations arise.

Also, what's the general local feeling toward longer range stock bows? Namely, these:

We got 1 of these and 2 smaller crossbows, both of which can shoot around 200ft angled, maybe a bit more, with the domed longer arrows. It'd be rather interesting to have something like 3 archers on either team, where there would be enough pooled ammo to make a bow a viable primary.

I always approve of alternate ammo types... and as far as our ruling the fall under the unblockable category. I have honestly put thought into getting them, but the lack of fundage recently due to school has prevented that.

I personally plan on having one an outdoor war around June 15 titled "the last war of destiny (insert last name here... no I'm not gonna post it on the internet)" as mine and her's last big war before we get married. in which she allows slugs, but the main reason we use stock is to help minimize any sort of damages to players or campus, since we are on a college campus

I sent you a PM yesterday, but I'm not sure if you browse the forums without logging in. So I'm posting here just to be sure we get a response before your war.

Xellah, myself, and possibly 1-2 extras are interested in coming down to play with you guys on Friday. We have a few questions:

1) 12pm is noon. Do you guys play all day or did you mean 12am (midnight) to 3am?

2) Do you mean a campus parking garage is your arena? If so, is that cold as shit this time of year? We're cool to play outside in this weather so it won't prevent us from coming, we just want to come prepared.

3) Do you have the street address for your arena? If it's a garage, am I allowed to park in it or do I need a campus pass? I would rather not get towed :/

lol I last checked a literally a half hour before you posted. I tend to check my threads daily.

Right now we are playing in the garage average attendance is roughly 15-20 a week once it gets warmer average goes up too bout 30-40/week

Yes the time of day is correct ucpd lets run around and we aren't distracting any classes so no professor complaints ... and campus is quiet

I have also been busy with school so didn't make many wars out of cincy

The Cincinnati Nerf Group has been re-establishing themselves on the University of Cincinnati' Main Campus

EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT AT 12aM til 3AM usually run longer though

Rules
stock darts only

ages 18 or over ( we are playing on a college campus after hours)
EYE PROTECTION OPTIONAL

melee is allowed
we do play gun blocks because mostly close quarters

Gun Restrictions
no singled titans, bbbb , mega missles (3 barrel min)
no external air tanks
we play test most blasters if your blaster becomes an issue just pack a back up (mostly mid range to cqc plan accordingly)

Hello good sir, my name is CincyChop. I am one of the people who help plan/host most of the wars in the Cincinnati area. I'm trying to put a face to your name. I simply ask were you part of the UC nerf group and have I met you before at a Cincinnati war. The reason I ask is simply I wanna pool our resources and make this one of, if not the best places to nerf. I have been in contact numerous times with the owners of the Lazer Kraze establishments, and for the most part haven't held a war for lack of interest among nerfers and me not wanting to pick up the tab to keep the price reasonable.

Right now my personal vote is for Rapid Run Park, but another really good place to nerf at is right up the street at Dunham Park where they have a massive wooden playset.

Hey i need a little clarity on a issue regarding melee attacks. I realize that we are amassing people from all over with different standards of melee. I was just seeking some uniformity amongst the rules for some who tend to be a little more melee heavy. The way we have been playing at a majority of the wars down here have been that the melee with a gun was considered as pistol whipping someone and didn't require the blaster to be primed or loaded, which i can understand the other way. Then the sword/axe rule about melee blocks needs to be addressed as well.
