Pros:
-11 people from the start.
-No major gun breakage. (My 3K seal died, but whatever.)
-Fuckin insects
-This was the only war I've been to in which everybody used decent guns...
-Oh yeah, sweaty 7 year olds biking without a shirt
-We integrated a titan into a recon into a raider into an asian.
-I brought a guy
-Didn't have a heat stroke, get a sunburn, etc.

Cons:
-Four or Five hour drive.
-Still never used my BBB
-Hot

Although craft foam works temporarily, it has to be replaced after maybe 50-100 shots, otherwise all you have is, essentially, a piece of paper. Gaskets will take much longer to flatten. I usually use O-rings as padding, as it deadens the noise enough to give it a "thud" instead of a "crashing noise that makes your ears hurt and sounds like your gun breaking", and will last until the rubber wears away, which won't happen until long after you've stopped nerfing.

IS the barrel glued on well? What size stefans are you using? How are their fit in the barrel? What glue did you use?

On another note, you can give any nitefinder a much longer barrel and achieve great ranges. A well modded nitefinder can handle a 5-6 inch barrel.

In that case the problem is definitely a terrable seal. Blow on the end of the plunger tube to test for leaks. Make sure your o-rings are in place, all that jazz... If you really can't fix it, people will definitely buy it for more than it's worth.

I was, essentially, trying to make a LB out of spare SMDT tanks, and didn't realize the effectiveness of the LB release valve. So, basically I should shove all the tubing into a piece of PVC (or the like), attach another pump, and then it should work better?

Here's my design:

There are no leaks and the Big salvo tanks shoot fine (actually, with just a stefan shoved down the barrel, it breaks 70') , however the SMDT tanks only shoot about 3 inches-5 feet. I pump the gun a good 20 times, so what is the problem?\

Check the seal. When I made my plunger tube extended nitefinder I had to glue in the screw and put a little bit of super glue on the plunger head.

Yeah, there were only 7 people there, including me and my friend. Nerf chick and lone wolf never showed up, so even 1 or 2 more people woulda made a difference.

Also: To anybody thinking of doing boom13's mod to the BBB: DON'T. It leaks, it's un-weildy, doesn't go on a strap well, makes loading the BBB awkward, and loading the BS tanks is already awkward.

RECAP TIME

Pros:

It was a nerf war.
I repped off taz and traded a polyester breech for a BS tank
My NF rifle kicks ass.
Fatnerfer had a pretty beast BBB
My stefans not melting because the weather was awesome!
none of my guns broke
we got in a shit ton of rounds
We didn't have a ton of people
No doomsayers

Cons:

I broke a shit ton of darts on the concrete
people left early
We didn't have very many people (about as many people dropped out as came. Had to be on Wednesday my ass.)
No doomsayers

Meh. Daft was better.

Re barreling is insanely easy, all you do is rip out the pegs then goop in some PETG. Anything less than rebarreling, spring replacement, and reinforcement isn't gonna do you shit.

No one has ever built a working Zero Valve, to my knowledge. Especially not Zero Talent.

Sorry for the (necro?),but zero valves definitely work. You just need to drill the holes in the end caps exactly centered. But they do work, garunteed.
