#249359 What Mod Is This

Posted by yahman1254 on 01 September 2009 - 06:27 PM in General Nerf

Hey. you are obviously new, so let me tell you:

This forum's mods are very harsh, so always use proper grammar. Also, make sure you search for mod write-ups and such before you make a thread. If you really need to ask a question, try pming someone. Just some tips to keep you out of trouble here...

#248965 Great Dart Giveaway

Posted by yahman1254 on 28 August 2009 - 11:34 PM in General Nerf

About what type of darts you get, if anyone else noticed, on the form, the bottom picture shows different types of darts, including glow darts.

#248171 Crossbow Help

Posted by yahman1254 on 22 August 2009 - 06:16 PM in Modifications

Please don't ban me? Just remember to follow the rules and you should be fine..Also, grammar is a big deal around here, so double check before posting.

#247996 Raider Overhaul Write-up

Posted by yahman1254 on 21 August 2009 - 03:15 PM in Modifications

Interesting results..In mine, i didn't have a long enough drillbit, so I got the entire AR out with a screwdriver and hammer. I had to add a little glob of hot glue to prevent vacuum loading, but mine seems to get about 40ft range with absolutely no spring mods. Seems like air restriction makes a large difference.

#246529 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Posted by yahman1254 on 11 August 2009 - 01:06 AM in Modifications

I thought it may when I removed it, but it didn't effect it at all. Only thing is, if you are using the stock and aiming, you can't put force back on the front handle anymore. Sorry, its kinda hard to explain, but it is a worth doing overall.

#246426 Singled Longshot Trouble.

Posted by yahman1254 on 10 August 2009 - 12:50 PM in Modifications

Valid point. If it were me, I would try that and if it screwed up, then I would replace it.

#246412 Singled Longshot Trouble.

Posted by yahman1254 on 10 August 2009 - 11:19 AM in Modifications

That does seem like a lot of work, not to mention that it would be cheaper to replace the whole cpvc pipe to which the 3 way is connected.

#246381 Lanyard Sawed Of Shotgun Moddifacation

Posted by yahman1254 on 10 August 2009 - 01:24 AM in Modifications

Cool write-up, but please resize your pictures, I am sure someone can tell you an easy way to do that. About grammar, yes it is really important on this forum along with post relevance. The mods show no mercy when it comes to that stuff (I know first hand).

EDIT: grammar mistakes....the irony..

#246380 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Other side? Could you post a picture or be more descriptive? Thanks in advance.

#246372 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Posted by yahman1254 on 10 August 2009 - 12:14 AM in Modifications

This is a pain in the ass if you absent-mindedly prime it without a dart being loaded, especially when the ARs are gone.

#246269 Which Way Do I Go?

Keep us updated, I want to see the final result!

#246258 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Posted by yahman1254 on 09 August 2009 - 12:33 PM in Modifications

I'm gonna use this. But I don't know if they sell these around where I live or not.

By this, do you mean cf tubing? If so, then it is quite easy to find sizes around 3/16, which are usually used for RC pushrods, on the internet.

#246245 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Posted by yahman1254 on 09 August 2009 - 09:58 AM in Modifications

How far back does the holllow stock go now? To the very end where the orange shoulder rest is?

It goes back about 4 inches into the grey tube.

On another note, anyone that wants to enforce or replace the metal rod for priming might want to look into rigid carbon fiber tubing. I have worked with it before and it is extremely strong in the bigger diameters. It's kinda expensive though..

#245731 Which Way Do I Go?

Posted by yahman1254 on 05 August 2009 - 11:48 PM in General Nerf

You could use a large diameter pvc pipe in the middle for structure and for the actual shooting of the gun. Then it would be easy to epoxy the fake ones around that.

#245548 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 August 2009 - 11:08 PM in Darts and Barrels

My current stuff is the cheap foam from Ace and it fits 17/32 perfect or too tight depending on how i straighten it. I was ordering a bunch of stuff from McMaster so i was trying to save on shipping by just going for their stuff.

Does the Polyethylene FBR offered by McMaster fit 17/32 brass well? Sorry if this has been asked before...

#245447 At3k Question - Plugged Pump, Remove Goo Gauge?

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 August 2009 - 01:12 PM in Modifications

In the modifications section of nh there is a follow up to the 3k write up which proves that draining it actually reduces range. I don't know about removing it though.

#245442 Nerf Raider Cs-35 Ar Removal

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 August 2009 - 12:43 PM in Modifications

Yes, if possible, pictures would be helpful. Also, try to remember to capitalize; the mods on this forum are very strict about grammar.

#245174 Stormfire Modification

Posted by yahman1254 on 02 August 2009 - 01:52 PM in Modifications

That doesn't have much to do with this mod, but anyway, no I don't know if you can order hardware of that sort from their website. I am sure someone here on the haven would be willing to sell you one.

#244997 Nothing To See Here , Move Along :-)

Posted by yahman1254 on 01 August 2009 - 12:06 PM in General Nerf

Haven't those been out for quite a while now?

#244831 Darts

Posted by yahman1254 on 31 July 2009 - 01:47 AM in Modifications

This is interesting, but just letting you know, usually ranges are taken with the gun being fired flat.

#244174 Pretty And Removable Pump-action Recon Mod

Posted by yahman1254 on 27 July 2009 - 02:37 PM in Modifications

Very clean mod. I think this would be nice for someone that does indoor wars. The recon doesn't have huge range, but this makes it very practical and increases RoF a lot.

#240875 A Way To Eliminate The Goo Gauge?

Posted by yahman1254 on 08 July 2009 - 06:51 PM in Modifications

Sorry captain slug i had misread jan as jun in the date of the last post. For the future, to avoid messing up old threads, maybe I will just make one single thread related to my mod and keep questions in that thread?

#240759 A Way To Eliminate The Goo Gauge?

Posted by yahman1254 on 08 July 2009 - 12:11 AM in Modifications

i used a dremel to make the hole into the tank just big enough to fit my tubing and then super glued it in followed with hot glue. its working fine for me, but now i am having trouble getting a seal between the same 1/8 vinyl tubing and the end of a bicycle pump..the metal and the vinyl aren't adhering well...at least with various goops...i am now trying some caulking i found. any other ideas? (didnt feel a new thread was needed)

#240721 The Foundational At2k Airflow And Much More Modification

Posted by yahman1254 on 07 July 2009 - 08:21 PM in Modifications

sorry about the non related post. i have now used parts of this write up to make my version of the one pump at2k with a bicycle pump/stock. i will upload pics once its done if anyone wants. my question is, what is a check valve for and what is it on a stock at2k. the black piece before the goo gauge?

btw thanks for the help with the last question

#240132 Airtech 2000 Single Barrel

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 July 2009 - 01:20 PM in Modifications

thanks, carbon. i didnt think about barrel length..also, hopefully my second batch of stefans can be a little more balanced.

#240063 Modding Basics

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 July 2009 - 02:04 AM in Modifications

hey guys i modded an airtech 2000 with the typical plugged up release valve and i put in a crayola barrel. the problem i am having is that with more than 2 pumps i rip the original darts and the stefans i made go 2 feet. i think the stefans are too much of a perfect fit in the barrel...

Are your stefans weighted?

yea i am using bb-sized split shot. 1 at the end covered with a dome of hot glue :P

#240056 Expanding Stefans

Posted by yahman1254 on 04 July 2009 - 12:09 AM in Modifications

hey guys, i am very new and i was thinking, because i suck at making stefans balanced or non curly-fry the cuts could be better. what i mean is that melting a hole in the back could add to imbalance and the cuts would remove one variable to screw up as far as bad balance. also, i am currently using a crayola barrel which is very snug for 3/8 stefans.

#240048 Airtech 2000 Single Barrel

Posted by yahman1254 on 03 July 2009 - 11:45 PM in Modifications

i did this mod except i left it as just the roseart barrel, with no pvc over it. my problem is that my homemade micro stefans fit perfecty in the barrel, but with over 2 pumps they just spin out and go 2 feet. do you think my gun is too strong with the plugged release valve, or is it crappy stefans?

#240031 The Foundational At2k Airflow And Much More Modification

Posted by yahman1254 on 03 July 2009 - 09:10 PM in Modifications

i know im late to respond, but im a total noob and i currently have a single crayola barrel on mine. the problem is that with 3+ pumps i rip original darts and with 3+ pumps my stefans just spin around and go 2 feet. they are the size which fits perfectly in a crayola..do you think its the gun or just crappy stefans?
