#250548 Modified Berserker With Integrated 3k

It seems a bit useless...

Well this is odd...I wrapped the plunger tube in e-tape and it now works perfectly...why I do not know but I'm happy.

I'm just shooting to get lucky at this point, with a great seal (and everything else seems good) I don't know what else it could be...

pic

This seems to be broken, is it? Maybe when you push your thumb against this (when you test the seal), you are pushing it back together (assuming the epoxy is cracked) so the seal is nice. But when you have a barrel, the air escapes from here from the lack of pressure. Try pushing back on the barrel when it's loaded and see if it fires.

With or without holding the barrel, stock darts have finally come out of the barrel, not stefans, just stock micros, all about a foot each...

So no difference.

Does the barrel work on other guns?

Of course...

Does other barrels work on the gun?

Considering how it has a CPVC Coupler I haven't had the opportunity to try.

I'm only using the stock spring. My local hardware doesn't have any silcone grease...so I'm stuck with this.

Theres your problem. You need a new spring or to add more springs to the stock one. If you have a TTG spring add that or if you have a DTB and SF spring add those. Another good option is an ace 49 spring.

The dart won't escape the barrel... The stock spring has enough power to get a dart out of a 3" barrel. Cutting the coupler in half won't solve that problem either. Yes, both of your answers will help the performance, but it's not why the dart is getting stuck.

If I had to guess without a picture, I'd say it's the plunger head seal. When you say it's "air tight", how do you test this?

I prime the gun, I cover the coupler with my thumb and it stops halfway once I fire it. Then if I take my finger off, it shoots the other halfway

Can we get a pic or description of the plunger head?

Also, how tight are the darts you're trying to use?

If the plunger head seal is slightly bad and your darts are slightly tight, the darts won't move. Everything else looks ok, I'd check the plunger head and your dart fit.

Edit: In response to Icey, silicone is what 'Slug recommends in his post, and the Liquid Wrench stuff (I fould a description of the can) says it's safe to use on plastics/rubber, so the lube should be fine. Also, the wrong lube would cause the problems I've mentioned above, bad plunger head/tube seal.

I've tried tight stefans, loose stefans, and stock darts. None work.

I have two O-rings on the plunger head. It makes a perfect seal.

Your AR bore hole looks too big, so when you shove the dart in it might be touching the plunger head. ARs are also to prevent that from happening. The dart would actually get stuck in the gap. Type/size of darts and type/size of barrel material would also help. If it's 1/2" PVC, standard suction micros won't fit, but streamlines and 1/2" stefans will.

1/2" cpvc barrel.

I had a similar problem with the same set up just e tape it a little and it should help.

I don't have any e tape on...I tried that once and it didn't work

Try cutting the coupler down by half, this helps on decreasing dead-space. Also, if you have any E-tape under the o-rings I would suggest taking it off and just use 2 stock NF o-rings. Also your spring power may be a large problem. Lastly dry off your o-ring(s) and lube it with some silcone grease, can easily be found at ace or any hardware store, danco o-ring lubricant is great stuff by the way.

EDIT: Also I usually do this to all my NF's, superglue the air restrictor plate and ring together.

I'm only using the stock spring. My local hardware doesn't have any silcone grease...so I'm stuck with this.

I'll try that I suppose. (cutting it in half)

I hate how there are so many people here who post in a thread just to argue about useless things.

Great job. If I'm correct this is one of your first mods and I'm impressed. I can't wait to see the intergration thing your going to put in there.

Is there any chance it could have a turret?

People, stop trashing him just because you can see the barrel in the pump. Unless if you can make it yourself so that you don't see either I wouldn't be talking.

Salindin, good job on it. I'm confused why you used brass (the 19/32) instead of a coupler or something, but it works either way. Nice job.

#217473 Just Another Maverick Mod

Posted by bamblack2000 on 11 March 2009 - 05:00 PM in Modifications

Not bad. I didn't understand how you were using 17/32nds until I read about the added spring. I basically plan on doing everything there when I get my maverick. However, I'm confused on the rotation mechanism, and the gluing of the springs, can you tell me more about that? Also, nice idea with the rubber band, I might have to try that.

You can pm him for pictures if you're that desperate, but it's pretty clear to me, and to be honest I'm paying hereicorp to make mine.

Can everyone stop posting? It was a necro and there is no need to post. Especially since no one has anything to contribute?

Oh and just to let you know FA24 and hereicorp have slightly different breechs, not to get you confused.

You do realize that the post before you was in 2006 correct?

I would hurry and apologize before you get banned, as I'm sure we're all counting the seconds now.

#216998 Quick Maverick Question

I thought this would be simple.

I am referring to the reinforcement, precisely like that mod. HOWEVER, he bought his materials from his local hardware store, whereas mine doesn't have any.

Can't someone with a maverick measure how thick the sliding bar is? I just need to know a quick size.

With this I'm going to look to purchase it from mcmaster, so what nut should I purchase as well.

Thanks

#215295 So I Modded My Rf20

Posted by bamblack2000 on 26 February 2009 - 11:44 PM in Modifications

Ramrod 20 darts in, pump it 120-150 times, and unleash the pain. Ranges are yet to be determined, but I believe this is the farthest shooting rf20.

Are you kidding me? 120-150 pumps? Let's hope you are kidding.

Yea I think it has something to do with the bandwidth. Not sure though.

#214788 Ok I Really Need Some Help Here

To be honest, I think it has to do with how tight the barrel is on the gun. Did you use hot glue? Did you sand it a bit before gluing?

Name: None
Mods Done: Level 4
Integrations: 2k Intergrated Splitlip/Coop style. Done by Splitlip.
Comments: Got this from Soothsayer who said it was a level two crossbow when it was literally crap. It had nothing but e-tape around the original barrel. Split redid the internals for me and did the intergration and now its a charm. Although the trigger for the at2k has fallen off, it works lovely.

And it's for sale....soon...

#209763 Quick Question

Posted by bamblack2000 on 05 February 2009 - 07:22 PM in General Nerf

Whoever above me asked whether he was talking about power or size has a good point.

The eagle eye in power has got to be a pistol. It could be a primary indoors if you do a FA style one but still, it is somewhat lacking, in my opinion.

In size however, it has got to be at least a secondary. Unless you somehow find a way to minimize it you just cannot consider it a pistol.

Either way I would go against buying one if you are interested in one. The ranges suck and size is an issue.

#206363 Quick Question

Well if your using JB weld on like Captain Slug then you can just kindof break it. But try to push on the tap on the side.

P.S. Put these things in Modifications.

#205989 Modifying A Longshot?

Posted by bamblack2000 on 24 January 2009 - 03:58 PM in Modifications

You need a pair of needle nose pliers and some muscle.

I thought I had to drill something, is this true? ;)

Yes...haven't you ever tried or looked at it.

#205973 Modifying A Longshot?

Posted by bamblack2000 on 24 January 2009 - 02:57 PM in Modifications

Hi, I added a Nite Finder spring to my longshot and the range SUCKS. Do I have to do AR removal, because I really don't want to mess up on the drilling and break it. Any suggestions other than AR removal?

Thanks,
Bambampker

I still don't get what's so hard about the AR. You need a pair of needle nose pliers and some muscle. But if you want to keep it in your going to still get bad ranges. You can put e-tape over the hole though, as I doubt that someone who is scared to remove an AR can pull something off like a plunger head replacement.

Posted by bamblack2000 on 08 January 2009 - 07:59 PM in Modifications

Did you us hot glue and plastic tubing? Sometimes if the heat is too high it would melt through the tubing, sometimes even the glue. That or the inside check valve are the problems that I can think of.

#201173 Scorpion Bow Mod Help

I'm thinking it's either the dart fit in the barrel or its the weights in the darts. What weight are you using?
