Posted by xbox180 on 21 February 2010 - 11:00 AM in General Nerf

OK.

After reading the book "The ways toys work" it mentioned somthing about patents, and seaching them up on google, so I decided to try it.

Guide for SS2

Just enter a patent code found on your nerf blaster and find out every single internal picture.

Hope this helps.

#266171 The Ways Toys Work

Posted by xbox180 on 20 February 2010 - 01:55 PM in General Nerf

Alright, Story Time

The other day I was looking through an old Boys Life magazine, then I saw it recommending a book called "The Way Toys Work". I ordered it as soon as I saw the word "Nerf" in the description box. Upon reviving the book, I love it . I mentions a little bit about modding, building your own Nerf gun out of PVC, and the internals of a triple strike and vortex tornado and how they work. Its a great book.

#264562 Cpvc'd Air Tech 2000

Posted by xbox180 on 07 February 2010 - 12:54 AM in Modifications

Unless OP edited his post recently, he already knows about (and did, apparently) TB's airflow modification.

@ xbox180: how good is the seal, is it really air-tight? I just hotglued the PETG barrels on all my AT2Ks, and I get ~110' approximately. I think the seal matters less on loose barrels, but if the seal is 100% perfect, then I may have to do this.

Ok well tantums mod had been done. The OP has been plugged and the tank to turret seal is great. I just etaped the little stub and it works fine. My darts are loose log home shit and work great in cpvc.

#264505 Cpvc'd Air Tech 2000

Posted by xbox180 on 06 February 2010 - 02:47 PM in Modifications

Ok so upon reviving an AT2K I cranked it open. During this mod you are able to do Tatum Bulls "Airflow mod" but this focus on getting the Cpvc barrels in and airtight

First get you supplies:

-Sharpie
-15/32 Brass 1 inch segments
Pipe Cutters
4 9 inch pieces of Cpvc
Epoxy
Hot glue
Plumbers goop
Dremel (Optional)
And of Course a Screw Driver

Supplies:Posted Image

First start by taking your craking it open, there is a glued tab by the pump so take your saw or dremel and cut open the tab.

Posted Image

After taking apart your turret. Dip it into a pot of boiling hot water and then yank it out with pliers. Then I advise you do Tantum's Airflow mod as it will hep with ranges.

Linky

After doing Tantums, then take you brass like so:

Posted Image

And then Glue it in, epoxy, or whatever the heck you want to do to it in, but make sure that there is 1/2 inch of brass over the lip.

Then take you Cpvc and slide it ontop of the 15/32

Posted Image

Goop them ontop, it should create an airtight seal with minimum deadspaces.

Finish up your other barrels and screw your gun back together.

Posted Image'

And your done, Ohh and I suggest gluing the trigger spring tank pin with hot glue as it helps with ranges aswell.

Ranges:With a 1 1/2 dart, 2 copperhead BB's 4 Plugged pumps
97
96
94
103
100
97
76 (Bad Dart)
99

Hope this make it into the directory!

#262727 Raider Issue

Posted by xbox180 on 22 January 2010 - 04:45 PM in General Nerf

Ok so recently having a Raider I have noticed that when I try using slam fire after 3 or 4 shots the prime bar get stuck or locked. I have yet to take out the AR but if I remove the AR or a certain lock will this work smother. I have searched around but yet after 2 years I still suck at it.

#260739 Longshot With Clip Compatible Cpvc Breech

Posted by xbox180 on 05 January 2010 - 08:30 AM in Modifications

Cool, when I had created my 180 breech the main problem that I had found was that there would be to much friction between the clip and the 21/32.

#260158 Ps-800 Vs. Wipeout

Posted by xbox180 on 30 December 2009 - 03:25 AM in General Nerf

I own the Black and Silver version or Pistol Splat, and have modded my friends Red and Yellow PS from target, and that what I have found out is that when both Cpvc'ed the Black and silver paintball pistol easily out ranges the Red and yellow by a good 25 feet. Get the paintball edition and slap a coupler on it.

#260060 Turreted Pistol Splat

Posted by xbox180 on 29 December 2009 - 05:41 AM in Modifications

I belive that what may be the problem looking from the pictures is that the air to turret seal between the plunger is tuat air is getting lost. I think you should try to seal it with some type of goop or adhesive.

#257095 Longshot Scope Question

Yes, take a dremel and go along the edges, then it'll look just as clean.

Have you plugged the hole in the breech, Some air loss may come out from there...
Couldn't tell from the photos.

#254164 Breech Lock N' Load

Posted by xbox180 on 20 October 2009 - 11:01 PM in Modifications

I was seriously just thinking about this today. Would tightening rings interfere with the breech system at all? That could add to the performance greatly, if not.

Well you have to put the above the 17/32 if I'm correct.

#253935 Titan Barrel

Posted by xbox180 on 19 October 2009 - 11:50 AM in Modifications

Maybe, if you happend to put it in some boiling water, and then twisted it as hard as you could you might be able to rip it off, since the boiling water might weaken the tabs thus being able to snap off easily.

not bad. pretty similar to my original cpvc to pvc breech that was on my mournblade LS. i found that priming too quickly would cause jams. sre you having that isses?

I have done baisacally an angel breech using 21/32 brass as cover

#250279 Raider Cs-35 - Dart Tooth

I`m pretty sure that this has been done for the recon since I have done it, but you made an excellent write-up though.

#249815 Lbb-mav

Posted by xbox180 on 07 September 2009 - 12:55 AM in Modifications

Thats awsome! Personaly I would have left the mav handle on for comfort but thats just me. Just a few question.

1) Wheres is the LBB's trigger or did you link the mav trigger?
2)Do you remember what ranges were?
3)What is the significance of filling the LBB with foam?

I have not linked the 2 triggers yet but it is fired by pulling the Mav trigger down and then fireing off the LBB. The Lbb has a second trigger which is pulled after the first triggger on the maverick is fired. I also think that this could be done with a BBBB.

I remember range where about 70-85 feet with a Cpvc Mav turret.

Yea, and basically the foam help the guns air tank not move.

#249755 Lbb-mav

Posted by xbox180 on 06 September 2009 - 04:18 PM in Modifications

I am quite impressed with the handy work, but I’m going to have to ask for a fully assembled pic to really appreciate it.

Umm about that, Well I had made this write up like a long time ago and well The gun is in parts now, I might be able to get some photos of it assembeled later on but untill then.

#249752 Lbb-mav

Posted by xbox180 on 06 September 2009 - 04:00 PM in Modifications

Ok, first write up, so please don't give me that much crap. I also ment to post this about a year ago but never got to it so here it is now.

You'll need to get your Materials which are

--A Screwdriver
--Hot Glue Gun
--Cpvc
--Goop
--Maverick
--Hacksaw
--Coupler

Start By opening up your shell

Posted Image

Next you want to cut down your Maverick shell like so.

Posted Image

Next hack it down so that way the two shells fit.

Posted Image

For the next bart you need to do this mod... http://nerfhaven.com...?showtopic=3666

Next you want to take your couplered Lbb and stick a peice of cpvc in it so its connected to the maverick air chamber measure and cut.

Posted Image

Now you baisically just glue and goop the crap out of it.

Posted Image

Now put everything back togther and and you should have a beast of a gun

Posted Image

Thant was my first write up, I hoped you liked it....

#245102 Super Soaker Mds

Well would anyone like to buy it, looks like it has some potentional.

#245094 Speed Loader Vs. Breech

Posted by xbox180 on 01 August 2009 - 10:31 PM in General Nerf

I really don't understand what is so big about using a breech I mean on a Speed loader or flip clip ( PVC/CPVC glued onto each other) your able to reload just as fast and it can be a lot more easy to do while not having to pay for brass.

I basically would like you to tell me why you prefer a breech over a Speed loader while they are cheaper and easy to make.

#243477 Stefan Help.

Posted by xbox180 on 23 July 2009 - 11:52 PM in General Nerf

I have some 1/2" cpvc from Lowe's that I have used to rebarrel most of my guns with. My 1/2" stefans are to tight for the barrels. I can get them in but they are really tight and it takes a long time to do.(The FBR is from Ace Hardware). Would 3/8 foam work, or would it be to small? If that won't work, what will?

Also if one of my stefans hits a wall 20 ft or less away, the head falls off. What might be causing this?

You could try to pulling on the foam so gets thinner, also I"m guessing that your using #8 Washers, unless there slug style the tips will fall of, switch to 3/0 fishing weights.

#237086 Reinforcing

Posted by xbox180 on 18 June 2009 - 08:47 AM in Modifications

Ok so I just got a BBB spring for my ERTL shotgun, I need to reinforce it, though I had put this so called plumber epoxy made by PC products, it didn't work, I let it dry for two days and it still feels like I can easily move it. My Question is that would I be able to use some JB weld or super glue in order to reinforce the trigger of the gun because I don't want it breaking. IF not could you recommend some Epoxy putty that is at Home Depot.

#236687 A B Question

Posted by xbox180 on 16 June 2009 - 06:08 AM in Modifications

Today I'm going to buy the brass for the Angel Breech but while watching Ice's video in how to do it right at about 50 seconds in he says something about putting the 1/2 pipe into the 9/16 and 17/32 brass stub that he said to glue in early in the video, so do I shove the 1/2 brass into the 17/32 bass and glue it or just leave it there?
