#363454 Modification and Paintjob Pictures

Posted by StaticTic on 01 November 2018 - 05:30 PM in Modifications

This is my first paint job mod, plus my first attempt at including led's. It's a modulus with an OFP cage, containment crew flywheels and MTB Neo-Rhino 130's. It's rewired and runs on a 3s lipo. I used 3 different Rust-oleum paints; matte hammered black, metallic oil rubbed bronze, and metallic cobalt blue. I also included 3 blue led's (2 in the front and 1 under the jam door) which are powered by a 9 volt and have a led lighted switch in the carry handle. And lastly there is a green voltmeter on the back. I think it turned out very well, I'm extremely happy with it.

#363447 Double Rhino Fire turret

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. I haven't been able to find any suitable dual shaft motors. Thanks!

#363411 Double Rhino Fire turret

Posted by StaticTic on 15 October 2018 - 01:38 PM in Modifications

Hello,

I recently found 2 rhino fires at a salvation army, plus a nice camera stand, all for very cheap. So I decided I want to attempt a crazy turret with 2 rhino fires. I've only modded 1 flywheel blaster so far, so I know this might be a little daunting lol. But I just opened up 1 of the rhino fires and discovered that the motors are dual shaft so even though there is 4 flywheels there is only 2 motors. My original plan was to use a MTB honeybadger for the pusher motor and upgrade the flywheel motors too, running them on a 2s lipo. But if I can't change out the flywheel motors is that going to be an issue? I did find a couple double pole motors when I googled it, but they seem to run on very low voltage which I don't think will work. If anyone has any advice how to proceed I would greatly appreciate it? I don't mind using the stock flywheel motors if that will work. Thanks in advance for advice/feedback :)

#363386 Modification and Paintjob Pictures

Hi guys,

I'm new to Nerf modding and brand new to this forum. This is my auto Stryfe, it's my first flywheel mod ever. I decided to kinda go all out and make it automatic. It's got a Worker canted cage, flywheels, and auto kit, with Fang motors. I run a 2s lipo and I put a voltmeter under the jam door which kinda doubles as a neon when it's closed. The rev trigger is a 15A microswitch from OutOfDarts, and I used 18 gauge wire throughout. It's got a jase3d battery door and extended magwell, a translucent blue stryfe parts set from BiggzNZ, and a Fang angled foregrip.

Overall I'm very happy with how this turned out, and I'll definitely be doing more flywheel mods in the future. I haven't mastered paint jobs yet, so I'm not sure if I'm going to paint this build. But if you have any ideas/suggestions I'm definitely open to them. Thanks!
