An example of a "thrift store" is Salvation Army.Ah, I don't want to sound slow or anything, but I have no idea what a thrift store is. In fact I don think I have ever heard that term used before.

If you had the right tools, you could try to make a replacement out of metal. . .Ok but do you know how to fix the actual rotary thing? All you told me is that it happens to a lot of people. Sorry but that does not really help.

Some of the games are the same price in stores. And buying virtual clothing is retarded. The new games on demand service is way overpriced. The new avatar shop is cool but is also overpriced.

That's easy. Just take several bike pumps and connect them together. What we need to be working on is a pump that can fill the bladder in 10 pumps or less.

1. I agree.1. Thats beast man.
2.You should definately put an RSCB on each side.
2. That would create a lot of dead space.
Flashflint, I think the Bedhead117 means a double RSCB system.

What if you can't afford Polycarbonate? Are there any alternatives?Just buy Polycarbonate. Its cheap, and CS made it out of Polycarb for a reason, and his brain is massive. There is no need to undercut quality for price.

Damn. No GoW armor. So perhaps ODST armor from Halo 3: ODST? And stuff from previously unlocked acheivements? You are also getting new clothes for your avatar (some you have to buy, others from games you play)
Nothing for old achievements yet. All that is just more ways to spend MS Points and make 'Ol Gates richer...

Most likely stock darts combined with wind. High power guns don't agree with stock darts.I don't get it... which is a good thing. Fascinatingly complex and well executed. Is the dart flutter in the video a result of wind or stock darts? I hope it's the second.

#244560 Fitting Swiftnerf Foam Into Omc Petg
Posted by spartan062 on 29 July 2009 - 02:13 PM in Modifications
You can stretch the foam by putting it in varying ID tubes (CPVC, Sch. 80 PVC, brass, PETG, etc.) for a day or so each.I've been heating it too much then. like 20 seconds and then putting them in the freezer for a few mins. How would you stretch them?

Posted by spartan062 on 28 July 2009 - 09:49 PM in Modifications
Wrong. If that shot goes 200+ feet and has 100% accuracy, I would consider it effective. If you can nail an enemy at that distance, you have time for 50 pumps.Agreed. But a better dart/barrel fit might make this more effective.Sorry, but I'm going to have to question where you get "efficient" out of that. 50 pumps for a single 40' shot? Buy a Nitefinder.
Effective, no. More range, yes. Regardless of range though, 50 pumps for a single shot, no matter how fast you can pump those 50 up and no matter how far that shot goes, will not be effective in a war situation.
I know that a 200' shot with 100% accuracy is virtually impossible.

Sanding would be your best bet. Tape would add resistance and gloves are too cumbersome. The only downside was the somewhat sharp angles of my Lexan bars, which could be solved either by wearing gloves (like I did), sanding down and smoothing out the corners, or possibly by wrapping grip tape or the like around the bars.
#244117 Ram-rod Singled Vs. Breech Singled?
Posted by spartan062 on 27 July 2009 - 01:58 AM in Modifications
1. Well I am slightly biased towards singled since I have already singled my Ls.1. sorry to be counter-productive, but you seem to have a pre-disposition againtst the breech. In many of your previous comments, you have over-analyzed the possibility of a finger being lost in a breech system. If you are going to include a breech system on your blaster (which on it's own is a complex mechanism). then you would've probably strengthened the catch as well.
2. On a slightly different note, and looking at this topic from a different angle, there is one definite advantage that the singled system has over the breech besides a seal or safety.
Cost.
It costs a lot less for 1.5 feet of cpvc or brass than to purchase one 1.5' length of 17/32 brass and one segment of 9/16 brass to create a breech. If you are low on cash, a singled system will shovel you the same poower as a breech system, but not the ROF (as heavily descripted above). However, sometimes the poor ROF the singled assembly has is outweighed by the money saved.
3. Hope I've helped in your decision. Unless, of course, you just wanted to start an "A v.s. B" topic, in which case, you suck.
2. I cannot even find brass to make a breech where I live.
3. I started this wondering if it would be worth it to switch from singled to breeched.
