#294040 Night Vision For N-strike

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 06 February 2011 - 10:48 PM in General Nerf

It needs the IR light to function. Sure you could block it, but it wouldn't work.

#293999 Night Vision For N-strike

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 06 February 2011 - 03:14 PM in General Nerf

Quick note on NV like these, any other players using Eyeclops or this NV optic will see other players using them. The way that this works is that it throws and IR beam much like a flashlight, and then it filters it to colors that the human eye can register. Basically, if I had the eyeclops goggles and you had this optics and we looked at each other, it would look like we have flashlights. Or you can shell out the cash and get Gen. 1 NVG's.

TL;DR: Use a flashlight.

#269849 Your Civil Defense

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 21 March 2010 - 06:18 PM in Off Topic

I don't know if you guys are into this kind of stuff. http://www.yourcivildefense.com/board
It's a site about disaster preparedness and stuff of that sort. I figure it might interest you because of recent natural disasters in Chile and Haiti.

#269613 Spy Launcher Guitar

Have you thought about putting a rod so that the line runs straight from the release pin but then goes around the rod to the whammy bar? I think if you fired this too many times the way it is right now you'll bend the firing pin.

#269357 Lab Redesign Contest

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 16 March 2010 - 06:03 PM in General Nerf

I haven't been on this site in forever.

Will we be allowed to use magazines to hold the shells?

Will the "gucci-ness" be judged?

This is the greatest thread ever.

#228680 Silencing Material.

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 06 May 2009 - 08:06 PM in Modifications

I've used cotton balls in the past, they seemed to just soak up the sound.

#228637 Raider Clip

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 06 May 2009 - 06:52 PM in General Nerf

It is compatible. It is TBA about how it feeds eventhough most of us think that you wind a spring and load in the darts.

#227274 Plastic Safe Lubricants

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 30 April 2009 - 04:39 PM in General Nerf

That sounds like Moly Grease to me. Which, come to think of it, is in constant contact with rubber axle boots, which don't seem to have any problems with it. I suppose it may eat plastics, though.

Moly grease = lithium grease with brand name additives

(insert raucous buzzer sound here)

You must be an Aryan JSB, you seem to be a nazi about everything.

It seems to me that food based aersol lubricants always come out like liquid foam, very odd.

#226836 Nerf War In Kansas!

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 April 2009 - 03:34 PM in Nerf Wars

Homestarune, I suppose that you COULD host the war yourself. Honestly, you seem like you really want this to happen so all you need is a date (August 5th I think) and a place. The date has been set by the SOF guys.

#224897 War In June

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 21 April 2009 - 08:40 PM in Nerf Wars

You're having a war over the period of MONTHS? You do understand that nerfing is usually a weekend maximum (disregard Vallhalla).

#221172 Airsofters Come Look

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 01 April 2009 - 10:10 PM in Off Topic

The BAR-10 is by Jing Gong, sometimes marketed as the VS10 or something like that. And yeah, that's the right rifle.

#221150 Airsofters Come Look

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 01 April 2009 - 09:05 PM in Off Topic

Any of you airsofters, could you oofer your opinion?

Right now I am wondering whether to purchase the BAR-10 or the UTG Type 96. Both are bolt action and have fairly similar characteristics. What I am really wanting to know is which one can I take to hell and back.

Sorry I made a topic about this, I didn't really want to end up with something that will break with mild use.

Thank You

#220324 Longshot Ranges From A Stock Breech?

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 March 2009 - 05:42 PM in Modifications

With the stock breech, I could max out at about 75' maybe 80'. This was with the stock spring, a big bad bow spring, and a stretched nite finder spring.

#220310 Pointblank Titan

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 March 2009 - 03:53 PM in Modifications

Seriously people Chuck Noris ain't that tough I GUARANTEE Foarsaken or my uncle + all of his workers (yes he owns a mill working buisness) could easily gang/jump or what ever you wish to call it to Chuckie Norris.

Your joke wasn't as funny.

Does the stock feel flimsy? It looks like it could just pop right out when you're running.

#217839 Longshot Breakthough (takes Stress Of The Boltsled) (writeup's Up)

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 13 March 2009 - 01:20 PM in Modifications

Well, I suppose it's a decent idea. I just don't think it's THAT good. Instead of taking the stress of the boltsled, why not make a new one out of Polycarbonate? I personally can't but I know that some other people on this sight can. The stock boltsled is ABS, ABS is much weaker than polycarbonate. I don't think that you would need to use anything larger than 1/8''. Once again I d on't have the tools to do this so don't bag on me about it.

#215364 Abbaton, Topeka Nerf War

I'll make an honest attempt to be there, so put me down as a low maybe.
What's the ruling on homemades?

#214748 A Few Shots Of My Order For The Release Of The Ps3 Game Operation Flas

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 24 February 2009 - 07:33 PM in General Nerf

Naija, why does this need it's own topic? I mean sure it's cool that you got comission for this but we don't post a thread every time we get a promotion. This and the behind the scenes story could have fit in Modification/ Paintjob pictures thread, seriously it's pinned for a reason.

On a lighter note, I do like how clean the lines are. No blurring or mixing at all.

#213599 New Raider CS-35 Speculation Thread

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 19 February 2009 - 09:14 PM in General Nerf

It's kind of supposed to.

#212933 Snap Rifle

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 16 February 2009 - 10:26 PM in Homemades

It is roughly 1 3/8''. But it's labeled as 1 1/4" PVC.

#211828 The Snapbow Mk. 4

Thanks rork. Also, why a wooden clothespin, what about those industrial strength ones?
@ Draconis: push-ups can work multiple muscles by simply changing the spacing of your hands :D

#211827 Mcmaster Carr Foam

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 12 February 2009 - 07:15 PM in General Nerf

Um triple post? Not looked highly upon here. Mcmaster foam is very dense and I find that it fits well in CPVC and 17/32 brass.

#211801 The Snapbow Mk. 4

Are you asking about it's size or it's power?

#209356 Question Answered, Admins Please Close This.

You will most likely want to use multiple staggered barrels. I find ROF is key to pistols.

#209354 Super Bowl Xliii

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 03 February 2009 - 09:40 PM in Off Topic

I know everyone is raving about the huge 100 yd interception run back for a TD, but he didn't deserve it.I you had watched his personal foul later on in the game, that should have taken out that TD. Seriously! He shoved the Cards guy down 3 times! Count em', 3!!!!! So this is all of you people who are like " OMG AWESOMESAUCE!" He didn't deserve it.

Don't know if you know this, but football is war. Except without guns. I have had that exact thing happen to me multiple times and it wasn't even called. Go Steelers!

#209073 Math Puzzle

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 02 February 2009 - 09:42 PM in Off Topic

I got something similar to Enchelaid. The radius is half of the circle, so half of the larger circle is 1. So that means that 1 is the diameter of the green circle which is a .5 radius.

#207926 The Internals Of The Bbbr

The plunger size is a little disappointing. Maybe you could do what Split did to his vulcan, you know with the caulking tube.

#207924 Nerf War In Kansas!

If you guys could make it down before or after the last week of July, I would jump up and click my heels.
I have a camping trip in Colorado that week.

#207433 The End Of The Cold War

Ohio class eh? Pretty big suckers. If you could/be legally allowed to, would you be so kind as to take pictures?

#207417 Spring Adding?

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 January 2009 - 09:12 PM in General Nerf

But, I think what he might be aiming at is that on weapons like double plungered night finders, You could get more power by using 1 shorter spring as opposed to doubling up springs. This concept was proved by bpso86 on his rebel trooper blaster mod.

Wes you're right, but if you have way too much power, like a ludicrous amount, the darts velocity would quickly fizzle out because it is goiong so fast. It's like an airgun to a springer, airgun darts drop quickly but springer darts slowly fall to the ground.

#207343 Guide To Barrel Material

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 January 2009 - 06:22 PM in Modifications

The kind that you buy at the store. Seriously, foam diameter can change from batch to batch, meaning we can't give you a 100% true answer.

#207338 Ls Clip Lag?

Posted by Rogue Warrior on 28 January 2009 - 06:14 PM in General Nerf

Lag? You mean that they are a little bit sticky? You could try maybe putting some lube on the magazines.
