#357415 Questions about The Mad Ghost by, 3DBBQ
Posted by ENP10 on 03 January 2017 - 06:29 PM in Homemades
Also be aware that 3DBBQ is JSPB, based in Taiwan. He's usually pretty good about designing to regional standards, and pops up here on NH every year or two with a new build. I tried building a printable Mad Ghost awhile ago (basically a Mad Ghost with a few printed fittings), but haven't been able to find valves that work well enough near me.
1/2" CPVC should fit elite darts, bring one to test fit in the pipe you're buying as you're dealing with pipe and not tightly-controlled tubing so the ID's vary quite significantly.
how would i size the barrel down for elites? by nesting 1/2 cpvc in the 1/2 pvc?
#357391 Questions about The Mad Ghost by, 3DBBQ
Posted by ENP10 on 02 January 2017 - 06:10 PM in Homemades
So I am considering making The Mad Ghost by 3DBBQ but before i go off making my first ever homemade i have a few questions.
(Please bear in mind that i am basically a homemade noob.)
1. what keeps the darts from falling straight out the barrel?
2. In The writeup here on nerfhaven they make it to shoot megas if I'm not mistaken, is there anyway you could make it shoot elites? i would assume you would just change the barrel sizes but i don't really know.
3. i'm assuming that the PVC sizes are standard USA sizes. is that correct?
4. where can i find the correct valves/tubing for the trigger?
All help is appreciated. and i'm sorry if any of these questions are completely stupid. Thanks! ENP10-

But I will do more research (I may just use regular batteries).
If your going to use regular batteries, just remove the locks.

Is it worth saving lock springs for say? adding on the catches to make them stronger?

#356692 Nerf orange spray paint
Posted by ENP10 on 08 November 2016 - 06:40 PM in Modifications
Nerf uses a variety of oranges, depending on the blaster, you may want to use a different paint. I just use Duratrax Fourecent Orange for my muzzle tips sealed with a clear coat.
What clear coat do you use?

#356678 Modding Nerf rebel sweet
Posted by ENP10 on 07 November 2016 - 10:50 PM in Modifications
Hi everyone!
For my first topic I will talk about modding the Nerf Rebel Sweet Revenge/Destiny.
First... I saw the handle was almost the same as the "4Victory"'s, so I wanted to know from you if it is possible to change the sweet's handle to put the 4Victory's.
Thx and bye
Why do you want to? As you said, they are pretty much the same.

Posted by ENP10 on 07 November 2016 - 08:32 PM in Modifications
I dont know of any particular ones, but I do know that the color of the neon/fluorescent paints varies a little sometimes. best bet might be to buy a few different kinds and see whats close, just remember to put down a white basecoat so its as bright as possible.
The main coat will actually be white anyway

#356634 Retaliator AR
Posted by ENP10 on 05 November 2016 - 12:23 PM in Modifications
For stock (ish) dart purposes, no. Keep the AR in.
The newer Nerf blasters have ARs that don't majorly decrease performance and also protect the blaster from breakage.
If you plan on brass breeching, (or aftermarket stefan breeches), then removing the AR is required.
I plan on only ever using stock darts in it.

#356619 i need some recommendations for modding my big shock

you could mod it to shoot rival HIR or elite darts but otherwise there isn't much else i think you could really do.
#356616 Best way to go about a pump action retaliator
Posted by ENP10 on 04 November 2016 - 09:05 AM in Modifications
13$ is way too expensive,
5$ max for a recon lol
it was just the first one i clicked on.
kinda off topic but I will also be giving the retaliator a whiteout paint job.

can't find a recon?
I know someone that has for pretty cheap, *calls in wild DX*
Otherwise, I can try and make a PVC version lol,
Oh i can find one. http://www.ebay.com/...B8AAOSwnbZYDnpM (also i would rather find one while thrifting then order one online)
i just can't decide which way i want to go.
i am leaning towards making my own as i said on a earlier post using polycarb or metal bars that are connected to the bolt sled and the retaliator grip.

I love my stuff on this thread,
in fact let me plug in another thing I did for the retaliator here
http://nerfhaven.com...ide-vgr/?hl=vgr
I think I like the aesthetics, and I spent like, 10$ total on it? with like 2 hours?
(Pic from PSU)

As i said at the beginning of this post, i don't really want to go out and buy another recon/retaliator and the chances of finding one while thrifting is pretty slim. the best thing I've found is a buzz bee double shot.

It's called a ball pump. Basically any store sells something like it, I found mine at Big-5 but I've since noticed them everywhere (Saw one at Target) and they're all probably basically the same. They're more or less expensive depending where you go and what (totally unnecessary for our use) extras they have, expect ~$8 unless you get one online though.
Thank you!

The only thing I could think of would be to put some sort of intergration in the front.
Maybe a battle song speaker?

You don't. It just makes some things somewhat 'easier' - in that I don't actually need to fabricate parts and can instead do something else while my machine does it for me*
*Provided the machine is working, set up properly, and files exist for the parts I want to make.
Thank you for that link
Does anyone know where you can a pump like this one in the USA?
#356557 Best way to go about a pump action retaliator
Posted by ENP10 on 01 November 2016 - 08:39 PM in Modifications
So I have a retaliator I'm looking to mod. I know I want it to be pump action but I don't know which way to go about doing it.
I don't have a recon/retaliator on hand (other then the one I'm already using) and I don't really want to go out and buy one so a VGR is pretty much out.
I don't really want to buy the worker kit because of the prices of shipping.
So it is pretty much either between gavin fuzzy's kit or make my own unless there's is some other kit I'm not aware of.
#356543 Magic Mega Barrels?
Posted by ENP10 on 01 November 2016 - 02:30 PM in Darts and Barrels
Ive already used the cpvc for simple 1/2inch to 3/4inch converters, but it is a twist fit. A very, very tight twist fit.
You could sand down the inside a bit but I don't think it would be worth it.

I did some looking and you could try 3/4 cpvc or 3/4 sch80 pvc but other then that I wouldn't know.

We have a member of the South East Nerf club that regularly uses the stonewall shield in his left hand and a Slingfire in his right (because he can prime it with one hand obviously). He is very good at blocking incoming fire with it. I'm seriously considering trying one out myself.
Oooooooooooooooh! Another Nerfer from Tennessee!
