These magazines are horrible, I ordered 2 and one of them arrived broken. The other one broke later. Plastic is brittle, didn't feed well and you have to file down the magazine catch slot.

I think the Nitefinder is a good example, it's a simple pullback springer pistol.
you can remove the air restrictor, swap the spring, rebarrel it...
all relatively simple mods.
and for cosmetics, it's not an expensive or big blaster so messing up a paintjob wouldn't be a big deal.
Pushing the dart forward and out of the magazine is better because
1. It allows you to use whatever length of dart you want to
2. It allows you to use whatever length of barrel you want to.
Breeches that would similarly to the stock ones have a very limited effective barrel length and are much more prone to clipping or crushing darts.
ok thanks, but how would i make that? how can i make the original breech seal to the barrel?
usually you see a breech where the dart goes into the original breech but there is brass in there, then that slides over a smaller diameter tube in the barrel. (right?)
would it have any positive effect on performance to do the aluminium insert but no longer barrel? (because there is only one size of aluminium)
or is the artifact style breech better. (and why?)
In theory you can. But the system works like a universal breech with a pusher, that pushes darts into the barrel, then seals it. Whether its effective or not is up to how you do it. And once again, theres no better, its just how you make it work, and how you like it. More then likely you wont be able to make it full length darts, its up to you to design and make it possible, but I haven't see it done yet. and uh... I guess, but you'll have to figure out your own way, and it may be better, but it depends on your mods.
so what is the right way to do it?
could I make an artifact style breech myself?
so the original breech bit pushes the dart into the barrel?
would that work effectively or is a normal brass breech better?
would it work with full length darts?
can i put the aluminium into the original breech and would that be better than the stock breech?

In english: hey, someon from the Netherlands? Are you (couple of names)? If not, then i have a new dutch NERFer to add to my collection. (Just kidding)
Edit: i dont know why i wrote it in Dutch first, i think i did because of the surprise that i found another Dutch NERFer.
2S/3S? Just go to Hobbyking. $7 for a basic charger, and they have warehouses all over the world. http://www.hobbyking...ct_Charger.html
thnx! i didnt see that one at hobbyking.
If your getting inexpensive lipo batteries, invest the extra and get a quality charger, instead of going inexpensive for both (using the word cheap has to many meaning which is why I didn't)
can you explain why? because otherwise i am just going for the charger that Silverhead linked. I dont think it really matters though, that charger is so inexpensive that i can just buy another one if i'll be using more lipo's.
So i've wanted to mod my stryfe for a long time and i've been searching for a battery, motors etc. but the only problem i have is finding an affordable charger: https://www.conrad.n...cks-237921.html
It is so cheap that i wasn't sure whether it is just really crappy or not.
The page is in Dutch but you can auto-translate it with google chrome or put it in translate.
hopefully someone can tell me if it is any good.
EDIT: i want to use it for this battery: http://www.hobbyking...idProduct=31972
Edit: you were right, i thought the velocities were consistent but now i think about it they were varying in the precise way that you described. Still, cut down fvjs seem to be very accurate.
The barrel i am using at the moment is pvc and being sold as 5/8" when i put a dart in it is not snug but can move freely although you almost cant see past the dart through the tube. Is that ok? Or should it grip my darts tighter?
I know that cutting them down helps, i just wanted to tell you guys because only the ACCs do it. my FVJs and elites don't. (of course elites fly everywhere because of the hole)
what barrel length would you advise me to use for a couplered 4B?
i dont use a hopper because i cant get stuff like Y pieces here in the netherlands.
Some of my arrows:
I also made different atlatls and some atlatl darts, an atlatl is a spear throwing device that basically make your arm longer and it hooks into the back of the darts. These are a basic atlatl and a dart:
so this is it from the inside.
I finally decided to buy it, it was 5 euro, but shipping in the netherlands is extremely expensive, so in the end it cost me 12.
Is that little black thing the overpressure valve?
Spring inside the end of the pump rod.
It says ES toys, tried googling it but found nothing.
It seems that the orange bit stores the air and the black part just houses the pump?
Curious what i could do with this, i have no experience with air blasters so if someone can tell me if this is worth modding, i am curious to hear.
I found this blaster on marktplaats (dutch ebay-like website) and at first i thought its a BBBB. I asked the seller and he said it is a BBBB, after looking more closely i wasn't sure anymore so i thought it would be best to post it here on nerfhaven. I hope someone can help me because i've already told the seller i want to buy it.
I have been wanting to make a homemade blaster for a really long time and decided to begin.
Almost immediately i came to the point that i failed to understand the sizes of all the parts.
I hope someone is willing to help me out and explain how this works.
