#345812 Quad blaster problem

Posted by XCS2 on 25 March 2015 - 07:17 PM in General Nerf

Are you using the same darts every time? Because if you are, the darts may be very worn on the bottom and cannot depress the smart ar system. Try using newer darts.

#345113 Air pressure physics in basic mods

Posted by XCS2 on 19 February 2015 - 10:41 PM in Modifications

I think you mean air restrictor. Plunger blasters don't have an ORPV, but air powered blasters (ones with an air tank) do.

#344496 Rampage priming problem

Posted by XCS2 on 22 January 2015 - 02:12 AM in Modifications

It also might be because your catch spring is too weak. Try replacing it.

#344144 N-Strike darts in new clips

Posted by XCS2 on 11 January 2015 - 12:31 AM in Darts and Barrels

The elite suction darts do fit in clips though.

#343919 Strongarm Malfunction

Posted by XCS2 on 04 January 2015 - 10:00 PM in General Nerf

Well like he said, they aren't the same barrels. So I think that the only probelm is dart wear, not the actual foam pad that helps the blaster seal. You should try using newer darts, and see if the blaster actually functions better.

#343724 "Koosh" darts

Posted by XCS2 on 26 December 2014 - 02:03 AM in Darts and Barrels

You would buy koosh darts here. There isn't really a better color, it all depends on preference.

#343678 What is this?

Posted by XCS2 on 21 December 2014 - 11:20 PM in Off Topic

Well in bobololo's collection video, he said that its really useless, but the purple shell is pretty rare. People haven't seen these in a purple shell. Note that I am saying this according to his video.

#343675 Range Master Probelms

Thanks for all the help. I'll try to use the tips that you guys gave me to hopefully revive the blaster. Thanks again for the help.

#343669 Range Master Probelms

Posted by XCS2 on 21 December 2014 - 09:18 PM in Modifications

The only mods I really did was plugging the pump and cutting off the front end, where the lines stop. The cut didn't disrupt the air tank though. I cut far enough so that the dart peg was removed, but not too far to interfere with the tank.

EDIT: The air leaking out of the firing pin is A LOT. It isn't just like a small pop, it seems like half of the air capacity is going out of the firing pin area.

#343668 What is this?

I think it's like a bazooka thing that lanard made. I think it shoots rockets.

#343664 Range Master Probelms

Posted by XCS2 on 21 December 2014 - 05:44 PM in Modifications

I was modding a range master, and i noticed that when I push the firing pin when the blaster was pumped, air would leak out of the firing pin area. I was wondering if my blaster is a defective model, or if this happens to everyone.

Also, when I put a barrel onto the blaster and fire it, I only get a very silent pop and the dart goes about 5 feet. Before modding it, the blaster would actually get further ranges than the modded version, which was about 40 feet or so. If anyone could help, it'll be great. Thanks for reading.

#343560 What to do with magstrike internals?

Posted by XCS2 on 16 December 2014 - 02:23 AM in Modifications

You could just put the magstrike internals into an existing shell and single it. I'm not too sure how good a magstrike tank is though.

#343559 LS Noise Reduction

Posted by XCS2 on 16 December 2014 - 02:20 AM in Modifications

I think that the padding of the plunger head may help, and it would also prolong the life of the plunger and plunger head.

#343536 Modified Sharpfire[And Guide]

Posted by XCS2 on 15 December 2014 - 06:51 PM in Modifications

Nice writeup. Very clear. Just wondering, how do you load/fire it? Is it like some sort of break barrel or is it a front loader?

#343456 Looking for Dart Tagger dart (velcro dart) source

Posted by XCS2 on 11 December 2014 - 07:17 PM in Darts and Barrels

There are taggers in ToysRus. Have you checked there yet? Or do you just want a cheap source?

#343446 Best place to buy magazines and drums?

Posted by XCS2 on 11 December 2014 - 01:46 AM in General Nerf

Craigslist could be nice if you're into that sort of thing. And sometimes, I do find some gems at a local goodwill.

#343438 Question for OPRV's on homemade blasters

Posted by XCS2 on 10 December 2014 - 08:57 PM in Homemades

I think that most ball pumps do have a check valve. But, there are quite a few guides to make one, like this.

#343436 Magstrike not pumping?

Posted by XCS2 on 10 December 2014 - 08:32 PM in Modifications

Is it not pumping? Or is it randomly leaking air somehow? Because if it wasn't pumping, your o-ring may be messed up.

#343370 Enclosed Slotless Pump Snap

Posted by XCS2 on 08 December 2014 - 02:42 AM in Homemades

Very nice writeup. Just wondering, do you not have a rotary tool? I've never seen you with one.

#343367 Silicone dome interest

Posted by XCS2 on 08 December 2014 - 12:42 AM in Off Topic

Silicone darts can be very easy to make, and the molds are very affordable. I don't see why people would want to pay someone money to make darts that are already easy to make.

#343366 How to make a mold for 1 dart

Posted by XCS2 on 08 December 2014 - 12:37 AM in Darts and Barrels

I think this is to weight the mega dart. But, I'm not too sure.

#343341 neoprene sheet? to make washers for plunger head?

Posted by XCS2 on 07 December 2014 - 12:54 AM in Homemades

Just search the thickness of a rubber washer and buy the neoprene sheet of that thickness. Also, i don't think you can get a very good seal if you don't cut the sheet in a perfect circle.

#343331 What to do with empty nerf blaster shells?

Posted by XCS2 on 06 December 2014 - 01:35 AM in General Nerf

Usually, people just either put homemade internals or integrate empty shells into existing blasters.

#343287 Flipfury Simple Mods

Posted by XCS2 on 03 December 2014 - 10:36 AM in Modifications

Very nice writeup. Just a question: where did you find the flipfury? I've haven't seen it out in stores yet.

#343282 primary and secondary suggestions

Posted by XCS2 on 03 December 2014 - 02:50 AM in General Nerf

In that case, you could just mod a panther. Panthers are really great sidearms.

#343273 primary and secondary suggestions

Posted by XCS2 on 02 December 2014 - 08:30 PM in General Nerf

You could just make a rainbow pistol. They're pretty reliable if you make them properly.

#343249 Telescoping Plungertube Blaster, TP2

Posted by XCS2 on 01 December 2014 - 10:41 PM in Homemades

Wow, nice work. I like how many of your homemades are very streamlined, and this is no exception. Keep up the nice work!

#343216 Nerf recon plunger tube gets stuck

Posted by XCS2 on 30 November 2014 - 02:59 PM in Modifications

The new seal may be too big for the plunger tube. You might want to either lessen the width of the new seal (if possible) or just grease it.
