What blaster did you buy the kit for? It depends if its warn on the catch its self or the plunger assembly.

#348098 Feedback

Posted by Droid31 on 27 July 2015 - 10:11 PM in Off Topic

Asking someone to ship an item before you pay is pretty crappy. Something that both buyers and sellers should be aware of is that Paypal has buyer protections built in. If a purchase arrives and does not meet expectations, there are methods of recouping your funds. Conversely, sellers need to be vigilant about protecting themselves with proper packaging, pictorial evidence, and shipment tracking. This all works out better if we remember the golden rule: "Don't be a dick."

Well said.

I will buy the RS and brass from you before you ship it. If the stuff comes as you say it is I will leave a good review on the BS feedback thread.

Was not talking about you. Do you not understand that I DO NOT want to ship to """"Canada""""

#348059 Feedback

Posted by Droid31 on 26 July 2015 - 09:25 AM in Off Topic

I have done many transactions with people on here in the past, but lately there has been a bunch of people wanting to buy stuff and they want me to send them the blaster and then they pay because they can not find any feedback about me. That's not how I do business. So if I have had a transaction with you in the past could you please post some feedback in the buyer seller feedback thread here: http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=11550

Thanks

#346247 alpha trooper HELP

Posted by Droid31 on 17 April 2015 - 12:20 PM in Modifications

You can make a power stock with a ace #49 spring, a 1/2inch pvc end cap, and a recon stock. Just cut the end off of the black cap on the back of the blaster. Then drop the #49 spring in and stick the 1/2inch end cap on the back of the spring and attach the recon stock. You may want to glue the end cap to the stock. You may also have to replace the catch spring and there is always the risk with reverse plunger blasters of the end of the plunger breaking. Another simple mod you can do is drill out the AR. Then cut the bold in half just before it get bigger towards the o ring. Then drill out both sides with a number of different drill bits until a piece of 17/32 brass fits snugly. Then glue it all back together and there ya go. (I did these same mods to a recon and it got better ranges then my massacre kit, but the massacre kit is still more reliable).

#345651 Motors for Flywheel Blasters

Posted by Droid31 on 18 March 2015 - 07:22 PM in Modifications

Well, it's certainly just as loud as a 7.4v lipo.

The main reason I went with the NiMH was for safety since the blaster was for someone else. Also for my self I ended up getting this charger just because I now have 5 of these of these batteries ( I ordered 3 and they sent 5 for the price of 3!!!). I use them in a Rapidstrike and my stryfe and rayven and they work great.

As for the noise, Noise=Power right? :D

#345635 Motors for Flywheel Blasters

Posted by Droid31 on 18 March 2015 - 10:08 AM in Modifications

What are the rev up times compared to lipos? What's the performance with that battery? is it holding up fine?

Rev times are super fast, I have never used a lipo, but it is faster than my buddies raven that has a lipo. I sold this styfe to a friend so ignore the martial arts stuff because he took the video at work. Firing Video

You could also put the maverick on a recon barrel and still have a normal pump grip.

#345236 a few newbie questions about Stryfe mods

Posted by Droid31 on 26 February 2015 - 11:32 AM in Modifications

Just like BlasterHacker said, I have been looking around a lot to find those kind of answer!

@Droid, thanks for sharing, unfortunately I dont have anything to cut the shell making the use of 180s impossible. Also, I couldnt see the battery pack since ebay Canada blocked that link.

I have read about the 14500 batteries route but decided to not go there at first since a lot of user were against it. This is why I choose the LiPo way looking at something like this which would fit in the stock battery tray. The only thing is that I do not own any LiPo charger and paying 40$ for a nerf blaster charger seems like a lot(when all I do is shoot at my house and class mates). On the other side, if 14500 are giving similar performance(I am guessing that the current is still lower than LiPo giving a longer recovry time) for a fraction of the cost, maybe they are the way to go.

On the same topic, is there anything to look for in a 14500 bat charger?? there is some on fasttech for like 5$...I am gonna set anything on fire? And is there any difference in quality between ultrafire and trustfire?

For the motors, once the stock ones die, should I look for hyper dash or torqued tuned tamiyas?? Again, very little quantitative conclusion were found xD

And thanks to everyone for the to-the-point answers

The battery is a Tenergy 9.6V 2000mAh Nimh Battery Pack RC Car.

#345005 How do you "correctly" rebarrel a nerf blaster

Posted by Droid31 on 13 February 2015 - 09:54 PM in Darts and Barrels

Could you just drill out the hole and then if needed epoxy the brass in place?

#344982 "Koosh" darts

Posted by Droid31 on 13 February 2015 - 09:48 AM in Darts and Barrels

After 10+ cycles the heads of some of the darts are coming off. Using the darts in stryfes with 180 motors.

Posted Image

Also noticed that the heads come off cleanly with little to no foam. Time to get some hot glue.

#344889 A new barreling material

Posted by Droid31 on 09 February 2015 - 09:47 AM in Darts and Barrels

Did you 'cure' it in the PVC? That is to say, you then removed the pex after it had been straitened out or did you use it while it was inside the PVC?

I left it in the pvc. I have like 2x100ft rolls of this stuff so if this is what he "found" at homedepot I can experiment with straightening it out and stuff.

#344883 A new barreling material

Posted by Droid31 on 08 February 2015 - 11:05 PM in Darts and Barrels

Assuming this is what OP has found.

Pex, or Sharkbite, doesn't make the best barreling material. They are shipped, and often sold, rolled up on spools. The tubing is fairly malleable and almost always retains the curvature of the spool making it useless for longer barrels... unless your trying to fire around corners and pull off some "Wanted" BS.

I have used it before, but I just ahoved it in 1/2 pvc to overcome the curving in it.

#344793 Drive times

Posted by Droid31 on 05 February 2015 - 12:11 PM in Nerf Wars

How far would any of you be willing to drive for a Nerf War?

I live in a state with no Nerf action so to speak. That Mayhem war would be pretty close but it looks like it won't be happening anymore.

I too live in Indiana and it sucks cuz there is like no nerf wars around here.

#344763 Best Stefan Foam

Posted by Droid31 on 03 February 2015 - 01:39 PM in Darts and Barrels

I use this, it is very expensive compared to other foams but it works very well. The best materials foam is the best bang for your buck. There is also MHA foam, but it can be hard to buy from those guys.

#344551 How many pumps?

Posted by Droid31 on 24 January 2015 - 02:36 AM in Off Topic

This is what I made with the tank and pump. It is a titan tank with a magstrike pump in a recon shell. It is not ment to be practical or anything, its just for the fun of screwing around with a singled titan.

No, you didn't.
Can I do the same mods to an original Rayven that I can do to an elite Rayven?
Why the grammar patrol?

Because that is why my warn status is so high. Because I was just writing posts and not caring at all about spelling and stuff.

#344289 Remove old spraypaint from a nerf gun?

Posted by Droid31 on 15 January 2015 - 02:22 PM in Modifications

Thanks! Good to know because I just happen to have some.

Yep just be careful. Sometimes it takes it off and sometimes it just loosens it up enough it will scrub off. I just spray it on a paper towel or a rag and start scrubing, but like I said it can make the shell warm so be careful.

#344286 Remove old spraypaint from a nerf gun?

Posted by Droid31 on 15 January 2015 - 01:35 PM in Modifications

I have used brake cleaner before, but it can make the shell warp if your not careful. And if you use brake cleaner when you repaint you need to wash your shell with soap and water first.

Droid, why don't you want IMR's?

Because they can vent and this is for a commission for a 12 year-old.
