Sorry for the necro, but I use the same glue sticks, and the same glue gun, and my darts work great. Try out some better foam, like Mod Mans foam or Msnickers Beige.

You should allow #6 washer slug darts and single BB domes only.As slugs are very safe and the people who don't have proper supplies can use the domes.

Ban all blasters that shoot over 140 feet flat with domes. This will make gameplay safer

Eye protection should be required, anyone who plays without them,even adults, will not be allowed to play.

You should also post a thread for the war so more people can view it and it will be more orginized then the paragraph you have right now.

Just some advice.

EDIT, is this war still happening?

Nice job on these! I would glue on the felt pad with some sort of glue to make the darts more durable.

You should also join NREV and post this there if you want more people to show up. And singled titans shoot way too hard to be allowed at any wars. Snaps only shoot about 100 feet with slugs, and titans shoot 140 with slugs.

For foam, if you want to buy it local, go to ACE hardware, HD foam is airgun fit in CPVC
For Washers, buy them from mcmaster
For felt, buy them from Mcmaster as well 8771k22

I wish we could go back to a time when domes where widely used. Why? They get better range and speed in flight, and do they really hurt that bad? I use Single BB's, and they hurt a bit more than slugs, but not a ton more. And Single BB's just have a tiny sting when hit from around 30 feet away from my UMB, which shoots 110 feet with them, with practice domes are pretty nice, but you mess up one here and there, slugs are really easy to make, they just don't suit my play style, what I mean is that they don't shoot as far as domes, but are crazy accurate. I like domes, and have never been injured by domes, but have been injured by slugs. Why is that you may ask? Well slugs develop closer range fight, this isn't bad but because of the close range battles that slugs can cause, you are more likely to get welted or bruised. I don't hate slugs, that is just my opinion on them.

I like the idea, I do think that to a point, longer range darts can be better. No I don't mean Slingshots or 3/0's, I mean single BB's and the like.I don't mind slugs, but I tend to play at mid to long range, say 60 to 80 feet but that is just my play style, that's why I still like domes. It's not like Slugs make the game less fun or anything.It is nice to try to remove metal from darts.
