That is sweet! So clean. If I ever get a Sneakshot, I have everything that is needed for this mod and I will definitely do it.

I'm assuming that you'll be modding the stingray next. Am I correct?

When he said:

Operation No. 2 coming soon; The Augmentation!

My Sneak Shot gets some air!

I assumed that he'd be putting the air tank of the Stingray into the Sneakshot. Correct me if I'm wrong, MIG.

#299119 reverse plunger reinforcement question

Posted by yksnerf on 01 June 2011 - 11:00 AM in Modifications

Yes, foam padding would prevent it, unless you like to spend your free time dry-firing your AT. As for the epoxy, I can't see that much stress being put on the adhesive holding the washer to the PT, so you should be fine.

#298993 LS help

You don't want to hear the snapping of plastic if it breaks...

But if you don't hear it, it's fine. Just plug your ears when you shoot it.

Seriously though,

but try to cut it properly so that the spring rest doesn't stop the travel of the plunger rod.

I don't get what you are saying here, there's no way that you could make it so it doesn't stop the plunger rod travel.

In Ice's Writeup he shows how he replaced his. A very cheap, easy, and effective replacement.

If you do, I would say PVC Cement, Solvent weld, Contact cement, JB Weld, Epoxy, or Epoxy putty would repair it adequately. I would recommend sanding the surface first though, to make a stronger bond.

Finally validated on NerfHaven!
First off, MIG, great idea and use of a syringe, it's really creative. I have had one of these syringes and was wondering about it's uses for Nerf.

Did you not use the syringe head due to friction issues?

The syringe head (at least in mine) has a very tight fit inside the syringe tube. My guess is it would have friction issues. Also, the head is not screwed onto the "Syringe Rod" and you would need to cut it off, which wouldn't work because I cannot think of an adhesive strong enough to hold the head on.

If you mean just the rubber seal of it, I doubt it would fit onto the plunger head straight, causing seal issues.
