The plunger handle is an aluminum pipe bent into shape then reinforced with wire. I've thrown it, subjected it to extremes, and all that other good stuff, and it hasn't failed... at all.

This truly is a great piece of work. It looks very fine indeed and i am glad you followed through with it.

Out of all these "snap" homemade variants, this is by far my favorite. It looks a lot more reliable. Hopefully we'll see a how to thread or these on sale soon?

I would sell one completely made (they are easy to take apart, and with a few variations, they would be able to completely collapse) for about 50-60 dollars. Alot of time is put into one of these, but not as much as a +bow, which I like.

Ranges, are as I said, outranging a Crossbow. I don't own a tape roll, but I would say about 90 feet to be on the safe side. I know it shoots more, I just don't want bullshit called. Thats Jim's job.

Its fucking comfy as hell. I plan to foam on some curves like the real Crossbow, but this addresses a main concern I have with standard Crossbows. They just arent built for big stocky guys like me. I kinda have arms and stuff, and I use an adult sized shotgun with an EXTENDED stock, so this works amazing for me.

I was gonna paint it matte black, then toss a home made manta shield on it, because I need to put my logo on it. I named her Graffitii and i have it all worked out.... maybe I can do barney purple instead... yes, that would be sexy. With a leopard print handle and gold accents.

I used Rork's plungerhead, my own made up charging rod (its all one solid piece, wire supports aside) and the bands are attached to picture hooks. I finally found a use for them.

The ends were made with some wood glued over (I suggest zap a gap) then sanded down, a process that took me and my girlfriend, yes thats right, my girlfriend helped me on the sanding (She says I do a bad job, and wanted to do better) about an hour. Its annoying, but worth it.

Actually, I made my own 3d models for this. They are in my thread about cosmetics, and they are fairly similar, just more curvaceous... What is it with me and using slightly suggestive terms to describe plastic?

The body pieces are super glued on, zip tied, hot glued and epoxied. I was going to put some plastic and bondo over it to smooth it out though.

Ok guys. After much designing, delaying, and doodling in my notebook as to what it should look like, Im finally done. The CrossSNAP has its first appearance on the Haven, and its here to stay. Nay sayers will say nay, but it is truely a testement (not only my opinion) as to how home-mades have progressed. Look and feel of a Crossbow, more heft, and a much much more comfortable handle, outranged NerfCrazy's Crossbow every time, simple set up, simple cosmetics, this is truely where I believe home-mades can go.

The ultimate goal of this project was to replicate Crossbow and +bow performance, and less the half the cost of each, whilst maintaining what makes a Crossbow the Nerf rifle of choice. Looks, durability and curves *childish snickers*.

Overall, pretty good. It certainly wasn't long enough, but it was good because I was wiped as hell when I got home. Flopped into my bed and slept from 2:30 to about 8:30. Certainly happy with my new guns. Need to fix my SNAP before the next one (not a big deal)

Yeah, its no problem. Its all good. I mean, we got you pretty bad with big blasts so its only fair. Plus, I can get more Big Blasts, and I can't get another first shot. Its a nice pistol.

Leaving early sucked, but having my feet warm again was a good feeling. My CrossSNAP worked beautifully. Having my diskshot break AGAIN sucked, and getting shot it the face point blank by Bullet Dragon with my own fucking Big Blast sucked even more. It took me about 20 minutes to get that monster welt cleaned out. And the fact that it froze shut bothered me.

Anyone who Nerfs should know this. (I Just got back from a war, I left early because I couldn't feel my feet) But in cold, your tips will shatter if they are shot at anything hard. All today, we were hearing darts shatter from the cold. And it wasn't extremely cold, but it still affects the darts. anything below 50 degrees and your darts get really brittle. Even at 60, its pushing it.

Hour and a half till the war starts. Yall better be ready. I'm bringing the thunder of my dislocated knee to pwn some noobs.... Seriously don't be surprised if I hurt myself badly.

That makes sense. It does look great from a prop standpoint, and the fact that it works makes it worth while. If you do sell it on Ebay, I cannot see this going for any less then Angel's. It certainly looks beautiful.

Maybe its just bias, but FA did it first, and although this is true to the gun (more so then FA's was) I still have to say, his paintjob and just the whole thing worked. It looked like a toy made that way. This looks like a prop. Nothing bad about props mind you, they are great. I personally love yours. FA's just felt more... Nerfy. And as Nerfer, I gotta side with his. As a theater geek, I have to praise yours without stopping. Its beautiful.

The body armor can go, and you need to edit these so they dont have so much lazy waiting. But hey, you dont see me making videos now do you? Good job.

Damn. If it wasn't a flywheel gun it would have some potential. The Photon Burst was actually not that bad. It had a MASSIVE plunger tube for a gun of its size, and alot could be done with it. It was a good hold out gun, and actually, Hilt used it as a primary once.

Wow. I love how many people are making SNAPs with the charging rod in the stock. Its a fun design, and I wish i would have perfected mine more.

How to work harder to get the CrossSNAP up and running. I had to redesign the charging handle because otherwise it would be too big, so i went from an aluminum rectangle, so a more triangular design. Its much stronger, and it still has the bungee holders, kinda like Carrtoon's Xbow Plunger rod. I hope to showcase it soon, but its been a tarded week. No weekend, and we had to put our dog down.

Kudos to the SNAP builders out there. its alot more fun then modding isnt it?

Im building something similar, and all I would like to say is, for pistols, you want a thin plunger rod.

I was thinking about using a longshot and a bigblast, or Titan to get the same effect. Unless you breach it, no matter the air output of the AT2K, you won't get better ranges due to the seal. Take this information and use it. Its what failed about my designs.
