Good to see you back.

I've been using this variant for a while with my 'rubber' headed darts. I've never had a feeding issue.

Ah, the good old BritHopp mk II. A much better improvement over the mk I.

I personally have been using this setup, which was made last minute before Ohio Revolution due to the fact I only received my ammo once I had landed state side:

#322734 Tee shirt launcher help.

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 18 October 2012 - 06:48 AM in Off Topic

A modified Titan, Jobar, or Cobra should work well. And a coupler and a reducer, and preload the t-shirts into sections of PVC you then load into the reducer.

#321738 What kind of paint to use?

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 18 September 2012 - 10:20 AM in Modifications

So if I apply the Clear Coat over the handle, the texture will be like on a stock blaster?

No, it'll feel like clear coat. The only paint that I've known to be close to original paintjob is what I use, which is Games Workshop paints. See my sig for details.

Plus, if you really want durability, you can even nest some brass between the connection for more surface area for the glue to hold onto.

And if you use 1/2 inch, it can also work as a dart stop too

Finally found a use for one of the 2 side rails I had to sacrifice for my 2nd generation Pulse Rifle.

Surprisingly comfy, and very solid. The rail is simply screwed to the shell using the existing screw ports in the rail. Now I know that it works, I'm working on trimming the rail down so it sits a little lower on the shell.

#312485 Eye Protection Is Key

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 05 March 2012 - 04:45 PM in General Nerf

BEAVER - Always air on the side of caution. Even with stock darts.

I've found that mesh airsoft goggles can be really useful, as they don't fog up and can be bought fairly cheap on das interwebs.

I used sunglasses that have a built in camera. Ryan McNumbers wore aviator's at Revolution. Anything will do, as long as it covers your eyes.

#312107 Game Types and Rules for Nerf Wars

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 29 February 2012 - 11:10 AM in General Nerf

This was something I came up with after Revolution last year.

TANK COMMANDER
Team deathmatch with a twist

Primary or Secondary?: Both. Only Infantry can use their primaries and secondaries, but tank crews can only use secondaries

People: An Even number, the larger the better.

Field: Outdoor only and with plenty of room.

Rules:
Example of game being played with 20 players per team:
Each team has 3 mobsticles with 4 players inside. There must be 4 players inside a mobsticle at all times for it to move. Each team starts with 3 fully loaded 'tanks', and any spare players playing as infantry. The aim of this match is to get at least one tank to the opposing sides start point. One life rules, meaning using the mobsticles and planning your moves essential to game play.

Made some modifications to my Longstrike. Added a Spring from a RFDG, and the barrel piece comes from an off-brand m14 dart blaster I bought from UmbrellaCorp. Gives it a more 'rifle' like feel for me. And the ironsights work really well.

#310270 Longstrike OMW unleased 1 hand priming

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 28 January 2012 - 04:16 PM in Modifications

Make it pump action. That's the only way to make it one handed. And it will help spread the load distribution on the boltsled.

Or downgrade the spring.

Those are your two options.

#309201 Make Magazine.

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 07 January 2012 - 06:00 AM in General Nerf

This has been discussed over on NRev, and the concensus over there was that the design was good, but flawed. The ranges he got were severly lacking, especially considering the effort that went into making the pistol.

#305851 2K/3K/1.5K tank expansions

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 14 October 2011 - 11:30 AM in Modifications

Why couldn't this be accomplished in the search engine? I know it takes some time to weed through the hits, but it's still quicker than waiting for replies. The people responding to this thread are certainly using it.

Correction VACC, ONE person searched this entire forum and found only 1 thread, and it didn't answer the question asked by the OP.

Buff - the only tank expansion threads I've ever seen is on back pressure tanks, and they've not always worked as well as hoped.
The only thing I can think of is finding a ideal size PVC to wrap around the tank, cut the original tank in half, extended the firing pin and solvent weld the 2 tank halves to the PVC.

Captain Slug, you will be greatly missed. I wish you all the luck in your future endeavours, and don't forget us. Hell, if Boltsniper can come back after 7 years AWOL, I'm sure you can.

All the best dude.

#305198 THE TITLE HAS THE WORD 'IDEA' IN ALL CAPS

Posted by BritNerfMogul on 30 September 2011 - 08:50 AM in General Nerf

I can actually see this game working with a few rules additions:

- Only put 'loaners' in the pile. If you don't want it to be used by someone else, don't put it in (Problem solved Groove).
- Great game to play if you're only using stuff that's lightly modded/ stock stuff for indoor wars. Again, this is connected with the above point.
- 1 gun, 1 person. That way every one gets a weapon.
- Start at the pile, rather than make it an objective, OR have the rules state that no one is to fire until all players are back at their start points.

Like I said, not a bad idea.
