I used to have a super-soaker that looked similar to this.
From what I can tell the pump is on the back-pack thing, possibly making this semi-auto if modded?
I was wondering if anyone had found/modded one of these before, and if so what happend.
Also if this is posted in the wrong place, sorry. I couldn't decide where to post it.
Good point, hadn't thought of that.
Dude, if you use brass it will cost a lot more than it should, then you would must likely want to nest it for protection from the tarnish monsters. So you would then have 24' of tubing on the end of your weapon.
I was just seeing if you guys had any tips to help.
edit- 1 more question. Do you guys think that brass would be to heavy to use as barrelling (sp?) material? I saw that a guy did it with PVC but I was worried about how long that would last.
Dude calm down. He complemented it and even gave you a suggestestion on how to make it fire foam.
As cool as all hell as this is, I'm afraid that firing steel bolts at extreme velocities is a far cry away from what nerfing is all about. Nerf is fun because you can shoot at people and they... you know, don't die.
For a more foam friendly version, is there anyway to engineer the magnetic field to propel a steel plunger head through a tube instead, effectively allowing it to shoot foam darts?
He obviously didn't make it with the intent of bringing it to a nerf war, you goon
I think his tank would explode before the valve died.
Fuck man 44 times? I hope that is a typo. I told you to pump the thing 4 times. Yeah, 44 times would shoot the check valve to hell. That's likely your problem. I know you can buy check valves from McMaster.
The same thing happened to me with an AT2k pump. The pump would shoot back out if you tried to pump it. But ya, it's the check valve in your pump.
Edward's eyebrows look like caterpillars. (not directed to you Uber)
I once owned all Toa Mata and Nuva, but now the only set I have intact is Jaller and the Gukko Bird. I still follow the storyline and build MOC'e though.
Sooth: The Zombie Survival Guide is the coolest book evar. Have you read World War Z?
What is World War Z about? It sound's cool.
Why would you choose the less-fun option while playing with toys?
At the summer SENO I just hung out for the first eight minutes or so of the Free For All round. Camping works, it's not the most fun, and some people say its cheap, but it is effective.
I'm not familiar with vinyl dye, but one my paint it says that sanding isn't needed. Maybe you could check there. I don't think you ever NEED to do it, but your results will probably turn out better if you do sand.
The title says it all. I'm using vinyl dye to paint my guns if that matters.
How many/what type of spring do you have in there? Is it a bitch to cock?
It depends on what you need. I have several Ls' and one singled one. Mine has a SHIT ton of springs in there, and is isn't showing signs of stress. It has high range, bordering that of my Xbow, higher rof, and it's available. I personally HATE the stock breach set up. It doesn't take stefans, Its finicky, doesn't have great range, and you half to deal with clips. The Ice breach fixes all of this.
Doesn't the DS use hoses to run the air from the plunger tube to the barrel? Maybe one of the hoses came loose or something. I'm just guessing.
I've had a doubleshot for a while now, and recently the left barrel has stopped working. The plunger catches just fine and it seems like it's in working order, until I actually load it. The dart doesn't even leave the shell. The right barrel works great, so I don't know what could be wrong.
So I'm asking if anyone knows what the problem could be for when I open it up and try to fix it. Any suggestions?
I would recomend just opening it up to see if there is anything obvious.
I have a LS and BBB spring combo in there. I reinforced the catch to, now that they compress fully it probably needs it.
I get it. It works like when you move the nf plunger tube up to get more air volume. he is using more plunger (longer draw) not more spring. I need to do this..
That explains it ALL. But it depends on when the springs you put into it bottom out.
It's the same assembly Ice used in his writeup. With the same 5.5 inch peice of cpvc he used. I don't really get how it adds more dead-space though. the air still has to travel the length of the cpvc in Ice's mod.

Umpshaplapa, I don't understand how moving it forward would help either unless you cut down the bolt head. Can you please get us pictures of your plunger assembly put togeather AND disassembled?
I was following Ice's LS DTB write-up when I realized the springs were only being used to about half of their full power.
So I did what I thought was natural, move the entire barrel assembly forward.
To do it, I simply dremeled out a path for it, and glued (spelling?) the dart chamber in place.
Here are some pics.
I donĺt have ranges yet, but it hit a wall 40 feet away before I could count to 1-mississippi.
