You make an excellent point and a valid one as well, in my opinion. And don't consider this a plug by any means, but it's well known that at NerfHQ, it's a more laid back atmosphere where rules like grammar and what you complain about aren't upheld as much. There is also less backseat moderation, is my sense.

And most users visit both sites and just tend towards one more frequently.

Sorry to offend you since if I remember correctly, you are one of the moderators at NerfHQ. There isn't as much members there as there is here, meaning if you ask a quick question it may take a while to get an answer. Here, it is quite quicker. Also, NerfHQ has alot more concept and design threads.
I do however post sometimes on NerfHQ, but I still prefer NerfHaven. Again, sorry if this offended you in any way.

And do you just paint the back ends of your darts, or the whole body?

The whole body because if the part that you painted is faceing the floor then ya wont see it.

Then wouldn't it turn hard as a fucking rock? Post some pictures of them.

Just a quick heads up.

I was at the Zellers in the square one area and noticed that all the ammo bags that normally sell for $10 are now only $5. I am not sure if this is some kind of fuck up on their part or not but it definitley wasn't a clearance sticker of any kind.

Just remember if you do this mod, KEEP THE CIRCLE AR PIECE (the circle with a smaller circle in the middle).
Drill a hole in the smaller circle, then put it back in the stock barrel. Why? Like FA24 said, it feels like the spring is going to smash the insides of the gun if it's removed.

It feels like it will smash the insides. I removed the white piece and so far that hasn't happened. So either way it should be fine. If I had another BBB though, I would follow FA_24's method.

Well I am trying to make some contributions to the NIC. I have a nice SLR camera, I am into photography of nature and landscapes. However, inside I cannot get my lighting to be good without a big shadow. I take my pictures with a ceiling light above me, and the nerf gun obviously under the ceiling light. I always get a big ass shadow. Now I can use the flash, but then sometimes it is off and the center of the photo is overexposed (too bright). If I move back, then the lighting of the gun is even, but everything to the sides is blacked out.
I am having most luck with taking pictures with natural light, except whenever it's dark (usually when I am modding) of course there is no natural light coming through the windows. So any help would be nice. Thanks in advanced.

To suppress the gun, take the largest thickness FBR you can get (Frost King in 5/8"+ is good) and fold it into all of the dead space in both halves of the shell. Fill as much as possible, especially around the motors where possible. You may even want to surround the engagement wheels with a thin layer of craft foam to increase contact with the dart.

But there is a possibility the motors could overheat. My solution: don't buy the Tommy Gun. Buy something like a Rapid Fire 20 or a Magstrike, and hook up an auto pumping thing to it.

I modify nerf guns all year round though...

I'd pay 20-40 cents a foot and I would most likely choose red foam. After reading Chewbacca's post red foam seems to make the most sense.

Shit man. I gotta hand it to you. You came out and shoved what we said back in our faces and I give you props for that. Next time I pick up a NF you can guess what mod I'm doing. Great job on sticking with what you said to prove us wrong.
