You can use a lot of Condor gear for cheap. It's all pretty modular, and you just need to find a style you really like. When I was a young nooblet I too experimented extensively with chest rigs and vests while playing HvZ, but have since moved on to thigh panels and battle belts.

I'm really bummed I couldn't make it! Most people seem to be aware of it now, but I moved with my girlfriend to Chicago this past weekend so that she doesn't have to be alone going to grad school and all that shit.
Basically, she gets a pass this year for pulling a pretty rad apoc before apoc party, but next year, count on me slinging foam and taking names. Reading all these awesome recap posts though, especially reading about fresh blood and strong upcoming players is what really makes me excited for the future and should keep me from getting tooooo rusty.
And for all you Chiraq kids, see you soon.

Does anyone know if the dart tooth has been modified for Elite darts? My HvZ Longshot has the OMW kit inside, and every so often the dart tooth (using the window style dart tooth, not the new elite friendly hinge tooths) will snag a dart and bend it back, causing a jam. Has the new tooth been swapped out for something more compatible with Elites?

I will be moving to Chicago on August 1st, and that means I will no longer be in the running for attending and helping out with Apoc. I'm really sorry to break it to everyone like this, but a dear friend of mine said no one can always get what they want. That person was ted.
I hope to see all my favorite people on July 5th, and the memory of my unprejudiced skull fucking will carry on with the winds breath. See you soons.

I feel like a YouTube channel that showcased strictly war footage and maybe player showcasings is what the community is lacking. Blaster build tutorials and reviews are done to hell, and we should be prioritizing people playing nerf, and the people who play over anything else.

Sorry for such a belated follow up, everyone! I had a really good time, and for any new players, I hope you did as well. I'm going to talk with Grid Code again about possibly doing another war sometime there soon. I feel like the new field definitely allows for full power springers, so I think I'll be a little looser on range policies next time around. Any other suggestions/feedback?

I'm sorry to hear! I just received word from Rob at the Grid Code and he is as excited as we are for this war. The arena is much more dart friendly (no more dart loss from the tires) and bunkers/houses have been updated and renovated.
Also, if anyone has an airsoft gun, feel free to bring it to mess around between rounds! And don't forget the three essentials! Foam, flashlight, food! (And fucking, Jaxon. Bring the fucking.)

Okay guys! In the next 24 hours I will be touching base with Grid Code and giving them a projected attendance and, the price per player. The price to play will be between $20-25 for the 9am-2pm block.
So as a reminder, here are a few things you should consider bringing.

Don't worry too much just yet. I'm going to make a mandatory definite list in about a week and a half.
Additionally, I feel as though going with the 75' rule is the best bet. This would be a good war for anyone to bring their new Elite guns and actually probably do well with them. For that reason, I think this would be a really fun event for newer players.

The date is set for March 2nd. 9am-2pm. I am still deciding what I want to do with blaster limits, but it seems like the 75' cap has been met with success in previous years. I'd like to try something with a Chrono though.

Hey guys, I know I meant to have this up much, much, much sooner, but this year we will have the opportunity to Nerf again at one of my favorite places to play: Grid Code. The Grid Code is an airsoft arena complete with brand new wooden structures for 2014, and anyone who has played there before can attest to how cool it is. The price to play will depend on how many attendees can play, but expect to pay between $20-$25 for a 9am-2pm game session. It is well worth the money, and I have a poll above to generate interest. Right now, I'm leaning toward March 2nd, but let's see what you guys feel. Once you are able to commit, I will have you either paypal me your attendance fee, or you can pay at the door. I would prefer paypal, as I wouldn't want to front the whole thing, but you gotta do what you gotta do. The location is in Allentown, about a half hour outside of Philadelphia. Post your availability and I'll begin finalizing the process of scheduling date for us!
