#96512 Snowstorms

Posted by agentM192 on 14 December 2006 - 03:42 PM in Off Topic

I live in the southernmost point of New York. The weather here is just fucked. Like last week, it was freezing. This week we've had it in the low 40's to low 50's all week. I wouldn't be suprised if we get like no snow this year.

#96513 Electronic Nerf Gun

I wonder if Hasbro knows about people like us, and if they like us or not. They probably do because we buy lots of them. They don't like the fact that we take air restrictors, which is just about the blasters on means of a safety feature.

They don't like the fact that we take air restrictors, which is just about the blasters on means of a safety feature. I got an idea earlier, to make a full auto gun without pumping. You pull back a handle, that turns a gear counter-clockwise. So the gear launches the darts. The trigger holds the gear, and when you squeeze it, it let's the darts rip. So you'll actually see the cocking handle moving in as you fire it. There would have to be some kind of clip system that is spring loaded, so you could shoot it fast enough. I don't know if this has been made or thought of before, but I know a gear shoots darts in some gun. Hasbro could possibly target an older audience, where price isn't as big a deal.

#96516 Pump Action Shotgun Modification 2

Posted by agentM192 on 14 December 2006 - 03:54 PM in Modifications

Very, very nice. I can build and homemade-mod anything except nerf guns. If I tried, I would go through tons of those things. Wish I could just buy it off of ya'.

#96517 Nerf Vs. Paintball

Posted by agentM192 on 14 December 2006 - 04:23 PM in Articles

I'm a frequent paintballer, and I picked Nerf up as a nice alternative that I can play in my house and with my friends that have VERY protective mothers. Paintball is a very expensive sport, and you need 2 days to devote to it. One day to play and then rest, and the second day to take apart your gun, clean it out, and everything so it doesn't crap out. I can't do that every weekend. But let's face it, paintball is more popular*, but it's not better, just different.
*Have you seen any Nerf magazines? No. Have you seen aftermarket upgrades for Nerf guns? No. Is Nerf on TV? (I wish) No. Don't flame me, it's true.
Edit: Ooopps, give me a strike.

Alright settle down. I was wrong. I'm still pretty new. It was just an idea.

I posted a couple times, then left for a long time, then came back. That's how.

#96560 An Idea For Hasbro.

Posted by agentM192 on 14 December 2006 - 09:17 PM in General Nerf

But back to the Good guys bad guys thing.
Most of us have probably seen the movie "Small Soldiers".
In it there are two sides, the Commandos and the Gorgonites.
(Ok so now ignore the plot of the story.)
Each are cool in their own way. Neither of them are truly evil. It is a matter of perspective. But they are against eachother. Hasbro could take a line in that sort of direction.

Its funny because there actually was a small soldiers line. SM500 and SM5000 repaints.

I know, I just wish that they had been produced in a larger quantity, and that the series would have been expanded on. They could have doon some pretty sweet stuff with that.

Yeah but the soldier dudes had real guns and grenades, while the other dudes had like middle-ages weaponry. (Bows, maces, etc.)

Very nice work. I love the blood-stained NF and the Maverick looks superb.

#96597 My Paintball Gun Paint Job

Posted by agentM192 on 15 December 2006 - 10:10 AM in Off Topic

Better idea; don't let this thread, or any part of the forum, descend into a paintball v airsoft v Nerf hen-fest.
Ever.

Take the woodsball v speedball argument to PBNation, if you must.

-Piney-

ps; On topic; nice A-5, M192. Many of us PB, but we place our priority on Nerf while here.

Yes please don't get thise thread closed. :D Oh and that's why I put it in the Off Topic forum. And I suggest that you don't go on PBnation. A lot, not saying all of, those guys are meatheads. They have threads on how to cheat, just giving the sport an even worse image than it already has. I didn't know a lot of people play paintball here. That's a nice suprise :)

#96607 Painting A Gun: Take Off The Shell, Or In One Piece?

Posted by agentM192 on 15 December 2006 - 12:36 PM in Modifications

Take out all the interrnals, then paint the shells. Use blue painter's tape on any openings or places you don't want painted.

#96636 Longshot Opinions

Posted by agentM192 on 15 December 2006 - 08:43 PM in General Nerf

What kind of spring can you put in there? And does cutting the dome off of the stock darts really help it?

#96637 My Paintball Gun Paint Job

Posted by agentM192 on 15 December 2006 - 08:47 PM in Off Topic

In my opinion I don't think it looks very good.

Also why do you use a A5 for speed ball? Does it have e-grip?

Who said I played speedball? And I forgot to add it was my first paintjob on something like this, err first paintjob on anything really. And I use a Response Trigger with a pen spring, and it's beautiful.

#96759 Syringe Gun

Posted by agentM192 on 18 December 2006 - 09:04 PM in Homemades

That's awesome! But please don't host it on FilePlanet because it takes too damn long to download from them.

#96760 The New Nightfinder

Posted by agentM192 on 18 December 2006 - 09:07 PM in General Nerf

Yeah if you shoot it, the cocking handle kind of glides forward; it doesn't snap forward like the original one(s). I cut out a hole in the air restrictor/bolt stopper and slapped 3 rubber bands on there and now it shoots better than the original.

#96807 The New Nightfinder

Posted by agentM192 on 19 December 2006 - 04:58 PM in General Nerf

Yes I modded the yellow one and I was comparing it to the first gen NF; the blue and silver one.

#96808 Well... I'm Back!

Posted by agentM192 on 19 December 2006 - 05:04 PM in General Nerf

Damn that longshot is awesome! But definatley make it rounded and maybe sand it.

#96854 Gears Of War

Posted by agentM192 on 20 December 2006 - 03:30 PM in Off Topic

This game is awesome! I really have to play it more though. You have a chainsaw bayonet; tell me that's not the definition of badass.

#96859 Nerf: Its In The Dictionary Too.

Posted by agentM192 on 20 December 2006 - 05:35 PM in General Nerf

Or there's nerf bars for ATVs. They're like floordoards for the sides.

#96917 My Paintball Gun Paint Job

Posted by agentM192 on 21 December 2006 - 09:03 PM in Off Topic

I actually used my stock barrel to see how it would come out before painting my whole gun like that.

#97489 Crossbow : Where To Buy

Posted by agentM192 on 31 December 2006 - 09:55 PM in Modifications

Keep in mind though, the Longshot is a tad more complex than the Crossbow, as far as mods go. Don't get me wrong, I love my Longshot and my Crossbow, but the Crossbow is very easy to mod and re-assemble while the Longshot may take some more time if you're new.

#97574 Quick Ls Question (yes I've Searched)

Opps. Mis-interperted above post.

#97575 The Crs12 Mavshot

Posted by agentM192 on 02 January 2007 - 06:33 PM in Modifications

Very nice. But I don't think it looks too practical or easy to fire without excessive effort. (Extending arm to cock maverick, reloading either, cocking LS) As mentioned above.

#97655 Streamline Darts Refill Packs

Too bad they don't make any extra CLIPS! *Nudges Hasbro rep*

#97658 A Fun Little Ls Mod

Posted by agentM192 on 03 January 2007 - 08:30 PM in Modifications

So after removing the ARs in the Longshot, I wanted to make it maybe a little more like a rifle. So I thought of a way to make the jam door open when you pull back the bolt, and then close when you push it forward, which it already does. So I came up with a simple solution; put stick-em on the back of the part that catches the door. This also enables you to somewhat check what's left in the clip.
Here's a pic;

Those little white globs is the stick-em.
And here's a video;
This is just a cool little idea I had and took me all of about 5 minutes. So far the stick-em is working flawlessly.
Sorry about the video link; all I could get. Seriously... :P
Hope you like it. :)

#97659 Carrtoon's Springs

Then...why don't you PM him?

#97660 My Paintball Gun Paint Job

Posted by agentM192 on 03 January 2007 - 08:36 PM in Off Topic

Well go for the A5 for woodsball. PLus, you'll have extra money left over for lots of upgrades. If you have the money for an Angel though, buy one of these!! Special Ops Paintball Hammer Or just grab an X7 while they're in stock. Plus, this is good if you like to ambush people and have ghille if you like being a sneaky bastard. But I know most newbies want to be a "idiot", so don't spring for the longbow right away. Special Ops makes truly awesome stuff. Opsgear, not so good.
Edit; didn't see that idiot filter coming.

#97718 A Fun Little Ls Mod

It's like sticky little putty-type stuff you use to like stick pictures, calendars, etc. on walls. Also you use it for those little glow-in-the-dark stars little kids put on their bedroom ceilings.

#97810 New Nerf Tech Target!

Think you can put that spring in a longshot or the 3rd gen nightfinder? (Yellow one)

#97870 New Nerf Tech Target!

Can anyone answer please?

#97998 Hey Everyone

Posted by agentM192 on 09 January 2007 - 04:10 PM in General Nerf

Trust me, the Longshot isn't as hard to mod as some people make it seem. Doing some easy and basic air restrictor removal really helps it. And cmon, it's a frikin sn1per rifle!!! Well sort of...

#98203 C02 Valve

Posted by agentM192 on 12 January 2007 - 10:24 PM in Homemades

I'm going out on a limb, but maybe buy a decent paintball pistol and just shove a dart in the barrel. Maybe screw around with the barrel size and material.

#98218 Quality Of The Longshot

Posted by agentM192 on 13 January 2007 - 12:00 PM in General Nerf

Good choice. I have only had mine jam like once, and that's when I first ripped it open. I have no idea when they say "Downright not working". I love mine; not too hard to mod, reliable, and just fun as hell.

Basic AR removal, and I stuck the top of the bolt sled to the jam door so it opens everytime I pull the bolt back; like a real rifle.

#98397 Tacshot

Posted by agentM192 on 16 January 2007 - 09:24 PM in Modifications

Yay I just got done with painting my longshot. It just has some basic AR removal, and I attatched the bolt sled to the jam door with stick-em, so everytime I pull the bolt back, the little door opens like a real rifle would. PICS!!

I used Rust-oleum Deep Forest Green Camo Paint, some Testors model paint (Handle, in back of handle, silver bi-pod), and Testors spray paint (Barrel, bolt handle). Opinions please.

#98425 Tacshot

Posted by agentM192 on 17 January 2007 - 03:10 PM in Modifications

I tried barrel replacement by putting copper (only one I could get) in the original barrel, and it didn't work. I just pulled it out with some pliers. I don't think the camo papint will wear too soon, since a I put a matte sealer on it and it has seemed to help.

#98441 Tacshot

Posted by agentM192 on 17 January 2007 - 06:52 PM in Modifications

Yes I painted the upper portion of the clip black but left the rest yellow. So when it sticks out of the gun, it's still yellow. I also painted the part that pushes the darts up silver. So far I have not had any problems with sticking. Maybe just the stock a little bit.
