Red FBR is sexy. And it has a smoother outside that the grey FBR i think. Ask FA24 or look in his thread about selling it.

#228428 Cpvc Pipes At Lowes

Posted by nerfboi on 05 May 2009 - 09:19 PM in Off Topic

CPVC it usually near the steel pipe and the insulators. It's also near the PEX tubing. but yeah since my local Lowes has the general plumbing isles near the electrical isle. So you might want to check it out again.

#150865 Crossbow Barrel Length?

Posted by nerfboi on 13 April 2008 - 11:21 AM in Modifications

Did you make sure there wasn't any lube left on the plunger head? Then try to hot glue it on, but not directaly on the plunger head, wrap the E- Tape on the plunger head and then glue it together from the top or the very bottum of the plunger head.

Get the Target brand one. It's pretty good. Just get new attachments, cause the one they give you aren't the best

Anyone know the best length for mega stefens?

#157339 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 28 May 2008 - 11:06 PM in Darts and Barrels

2'', for me at least. I just went outside and tested a batch of darts, be sure you glue the weight down, to prevent it from moving inside the dart. If you don't they will fly in circles, killing accuracy out of a high power blaster.

Ok, then I've been making them the right lenght. Also, what do you use to weight it with?

#173082 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 28 August 2008 - 12:03 AM in Darts and Barrels

Hey, What do you guys think is better for dart weights? copper BB's or 3/0 fishing weights? I'm thinking of swithing to copper weights becuase of cost wise. Or how about 1/4 sling shot weights?

I would, but I can't find Brass at my local hobby shop, so I'm going to buy it online from their online store

#101518 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 28 March 2007 - 11:32 PM in Darts and Barrels

Well, The Frost King brand FBR is a VERY VERY tight fit. I have to twist 'em jsut to get it 3/4 of the way in the barrel(It's coupler(sp?) modded.

#102001 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 09 April 2007 - 06:34 PM in Darts and Barrels

The barrel I use CPVC
Heres the picture of the brand of FBR by Frost King. Except it's a 30' bag and it's the dark grey kind.

I got a question. Does anyone know if the Frost King brand FBR(the blackish- darkish grey, also found at home depot) Fits in 9/16 brass? If so, is it a tight fit or a loose fit.

#102109 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by nerfboi on 11 April 2007 - 10:09 PM in Darts and Barrels

Thank you Hilt. I'll try and buy FBR from the website I posted when I buy a pre- paid credit card( its your friend when you not 18 and dont have a credit card, when you want to buy something online). The FrostKing FBR I WAY stiffer/firmer than the other FBR that was really light grey(almost white). And the only place I can really find the Frostking FBR FOR SURE is Home Depot. And my local Lowes sells the really light grey stuff I was talking about.

EDIT: Whats the difference between open celled FBR and closed cell FBR? sorry for the noobish question
