#159905 Sn*pers Aren't Losers!

Posted by Quilan Fett on 21 June 2008 - 11:36 AM in Site Feedback

I can see why you would think this.
[Anecdote]Fooling around before a war, I once climbed 30' up into a Ucalyptus with my singled titan. When my friend got there, I nailed him in the head from about 100'. The problem is, in a war, by shooting him, I give away my position and now am stuck 30' up in a tree while the other team comes running.[/Anecdote]

Also, if you really want to say it, use marksman, sharpshooter, long range, etc.

PS. scumbag

Hot glue does hold, but it is not airtight. Tiny holes form in it as it dries. I recommend you splurge and buy some epoxy.

I reccomend that you use a barrel stub/coupler so you can use a longer barrel and the shell.

#237702 Consumed By Video Games

Posted by Quilan Fett on 20 June 2009 - 10:45 PM in Off Topic

Realize this: You like video games because they are exciting, entertaining, and give you a sense of accomplishment. Instead of getting good at a game, get good at biking or running or dancing or kite flying. You can get the same excitement, entertainment, and accomplishment but you get out, get fit, and loose less time trying to master some fake reality created by a nerd who gets paid to sit around all day.

#147361 Zero Talent's Homemade Ball Valve Gun

Posted by Quilan Fett on 27 March 2008 - 07:11 PM in Homemades

He already said he can't glue it. I'd put PVC cement on the end of the barrel but don't put it in the coupler. Wait for the glue to dry, then sand it a bit to smooth it of. It should have a tighter fit. If it is too tight, sand it more. If it is too loose, repeat the process. If neither is true, I think you're smart enough to know what to do. :o

#144436 Has Anyone Had Any Modding Experience With These?

Oh my God! Is there a glitch in the space-time continuum where this link has to come up at least once a month?

Airzone is to Toys 'R Us as Kirkland is to Costco.

#147411 Zero Talent's Homemade Ball Valve Gun

I beg to differ. In 1/2" PVC, a tagger can use a long barrel.

#129584 Solenoid Question

Posted by Quilan Fett on 12 November 2007 - 10:05 PM in Homemades

I want to build a semi-auto somewhat like Widworld's AT2K ( ) , but with a solenoid and a 30 PSI Pressure regulator. I chose a low pressure because I am not some loser who wants to shoot people from 200 feet. My question is, how long does it take for a Solenoid valve to close? Can it only close once there is no more pressure on it? Does this depend on if it is manual, electric, or modded?

You do realize that that AT2K is nowhere near semi-auto?

You mean cause it doesn't have a semi-auto clip? The airflow is semi-auto.

Is the plunger head open to the back? If so, you should definitely plug it.

Cs darts should work too right?

No, the heads rip off the foam.

#147477 Zero Talent's Homemade Ball Valve Gun

Posted by Quilan Fett on 28 March 2008 - 11:54 AM in Homemades

You could, and yes, I know you don't want to, just glue the barrel in and ramrod the darts. It would be faster than a screw-on fitting.

But the DTB has a standard plunger, not inverted.

#113512 Homemade Air Rifle

Posted by Quilan Fett on 28 June 2007 - 12:38 PM in Homemades

Brass,
I didn't read the whole text from the far but, with what kind of ammo you will shoot Air is the best propulsion. If your ammo get a punch from a spring it get already slower in the barrel <_< , with air as propulsion the ammo will ga even faster at a point in the barrel.
Greetings from the Dutch, Jaffe

In a spring gun, the spring does not hit the dart.

#116311 Powerlcip, Magstrike, Wildfire, Rapid Fire 20?

Posted by Quilan Fett on 18 July 2007 - 11:23 AM in General Nerf

Well, Powerclips and wildfires are out of production, and basically, Powerclip=Magstrike and Wildfire=RF20, so I would go with a Magstrike or RF20.

#109096 Has Anyone Seen This?

Oh. Sorry about that. Try this: http://hasbro.com/co...rs_blasters.flv

Well at least we now know that they are both inverse (or is it inverted?) plunger guns. That means they will suck horribly. As movie tie-in guns always do.

How do we know that?

You should be able to buy PVC it's dirt cheap.

I can vouch for that, I get it at 24 cents-a-foot including tax.

That would be quite the feat, getting an effective linkage, and the right pump stroke. Also known as not very feasible.

Also known as posting in the wrong thread.

#128330 Newbie Alert

Posted by Quilan Fett on 02 November 2007 - 02:56 PM in Modifications

My people! Yes, I also love the Mav, being my first gun, and is now experiencing a major overhaul (brass breech), and I'm not sure about the foam... but I did this to my scout when I put a coupler on and it was just dead space (kinda like the Mav), and I got 5' better constantly than the person who made the write-up.

Um, why are you giving your mav a brass breech?

#128310 Newbie Alert

Posted by Quilan Fett on 02 November 2007 - 09:52 AM in Modifications

Same here. I messed up my 1st mav, but my 2nd turned out great, that is, utill I accidentally hacksawed off the part that holds the front of the turret in palce. I am hoping to get another for Xmas and use it's body for both clips.

#128347 Newbie Alert

Posted by Quilan Fett on 02 November 2007 - 06:06 PM in Modifications

I wouldn't do a brass breech unless you glue the slip clutch and add extra extension springs to the trigger. Otherwise, the Maverick barrel would be way to heavy for the rotation mechanism to turn.

Do you know what a brass breech is? It doesn't use the turret. Look at Angel's LS.

#129428 Foil

Posted by Quilan Fett on 11 November 2007 - 12:59 PM in Modifications

Speaking of which, I discovered on my LS that the main seal comes from the plastic plunger head. The O-Ring doesn't even touch the plunger tube.

#108939 Darts, Barrels And Barrel Lenghts

Posted by Quilan Fett on 02 June 2007 - 04:28 PM in Modifications

For stefans, get 1\2 in diameter, most people use 2 inch long stefans, but it is all personal preference, I use pvc, but you would have to get a little bigger in diameter, but you should stick with 1\2 cpvc, yes there is a difference between pvc and cpvc, pvc is not tight enough for normal stefans.

Or you could just get 16\32 inch brass. Nnd barrel legnth depends on the gun, for nitefinders, I use about 2 and a half inches long.

Or you could just bring a stock dart with you and compare it to the fbr, or put the dart in the pipe to see if it fits, it should be pretty tight.

And legnth for air powered guns should be a lot longer so that the air pressure can build up, so it will pack more of a punch.

For stefans, I use 9/16 brass. For stock darts I use 17/32.

Send darts flying by squeezing the foam air pump inside the tube!

#116697 The Titan Pistol

Posted by Quilan Fett on 21 July 2007 - 03:56 PM in Modifications

You might be able to epoxy something like a coat hanger to the pull rod from the airtank and run it up to where a trigger would be, then either take the trigger from another gun or fashion one yourself. It would look something like this crappy paint drawing

They only hint at things like "I guess you were never told" and "Ask your mother."

I doubt his parents would know a screenname of a family member if he doesn't - just a hunch.

They would know if he has a relative in Ireland who knows him well and they have never told him about.
