#245914 Working Semi-automatic Homemade
Posted by Chaos-blades on 06 August 2009 - 10:58 PM in Homemades
You probably know this but if you used converted streamlines (with weights) you would get rid of the fishtailing problem. If the problem persists, go heavier.

#235759 When An External Air Source Becomes Cheap
Posted by Chaos-blades on 11 June 2009 - 11:29 PM in General Nerf
If you went through the time, effort and money to make such a creation you should be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Unless you are nerfing in a 4m by 5m shed and you want to use a sigled titan or the like.
(Pardon my use of the metric system)
#229951 Tsunami Scattergun + Nightfinter

I think it looks a bit awkward but hey if it works it's a genius idea.
Let us know how it goes when you use it in a battle.
#230907 The Soulreaper

It's a good clean mod with maximum practicality.
I'd do the same thing if i had the time, money and patience.
Well done

#229946 The Coupler Frag Grenade
Posted by Chaos-blades on 12 May 2009 - 11:12 PM in Homemades
Personally i've never felt the need for a grenade in nerf, but that's my opinion based on my stlye of play.
#251360 The Battle Of Adelaide - Aus
Posted by Chaos-blades on 22 September 2009 - 10:00 PM in Nerf Wars
Saturday the 17th of October
Hectorville reserve "The Gums"
Shakespeare Ave, Tranmere
11:00am, meet at the carpark. 11:30 start
$5 to play
This is it Adelaide nerfers, myself and Tidge have set a date for this season's first Adelaide nerf war.
A few details;
- BYO blasters, we will be bringing some for people to borrow but we won't have enough for everyone.
- Stefans will be supplied, however we ask people to bring their own ammo too.
- If your gun is not compatible for stefans, you will need to bring your own ammo
- bring some food, water etc
Safety precautions, these must be observed as this is important;
- Eye protection MUST be worn when participating in nerf wars. Sunglasses or safety goggles are acceptable. If you don’t wear eye protection you will not be able to play, it’s that simple.
- For people under the age of 16, you must come with someone who is over 18 so they can meet myself and Tidge. (Parent/ caregiver/ older sibling etc) That’s just to make sure that they know that we’re responsible people.
- We will be restricting the use of blasters that are too realistic-looking & home-mades that are deemed dangerous.
- Anyone who acts violently or deliberately to cause harm WILL have the police called on them, we don’t want to have anyone hurt and we want to have fun. Leave your murderous rage where it belongs, at home.
Keep these rules in mind and we’ll all have a good time.
Game types will be determined on the day.
If you are definitely available to come to this event, post it here
If you have any questions, PM me or e-mail me & I'll be perfectly happy to answer.
If I've left anything out let me know and I'll be happy to fix it.
Hope to see you there,
~Chaos~

#262529 Raider Question
Posted by Chaos-blades on 20 January 2010 - 07:06 PM in Modifications
Anyway,
@ dartmaster1101 - I think I know what you're saying, mine did kinda the same thing but it didn't prevent the blaster from cocking. If you want, you can PM me about it, I'd be glad to help if I can.

You mean like the Magstrike. Is there a lock on it so you don't dry fire it?
No, you can dry fire it to your hearts content.

#215199 New Raider CS-35 Speculation Thread
Posted by Chaos-blades on 26 February 2009 - 07:27 PM in General Nerf
My 2 concerns are;
1. The stroke length
2. The flimsy-looking clip
Unfortunately, i won't be getting one, unless they are released here is Australia.
I'm still hanging out for a mag-strike.
#255202 New Dart Concept
Posted by Chaos-blades on 02 November 2009 - 10:15 PM in Darts and Barrels
You have to get them just right or they spin or curve in their flight.
I think we jokingly called them "bullet" darts
#230101 Nerf Target
Posted by Chaos-blades on 13 May 2009 - 09:57 PM in General Nerf
Mine too, it's falling apart from singled titan damage.I just use my Titan box. It's getting full of holes, though, due to my BBBB.
There's something satisfying about blasting a stefan directly through both walls.
#230106 Nerf Target
Posted by Chaos-blades on 13 May 2009 - 10:24 PM in General Nerf
I've done that too, it's loads of fun.Through walls of cardboard childsplay. I have a couple dents and a washer in my wall in my garage.
My favourite target was Theinventorguy's ammo bucket though. Until the incident with the X-bow (w/bungie cord).
He only had it for a week. Poor guy, i still owe him a bucket.

#243244 Nerf Raider Cs-35
Posted by Chaos-blades on 22 July 2009 - 09:39 PM in General Nerf
It was only cause i was trying to fire stefans, being a dick and such.
FYI: There is a gap in the rotating part of the mag that will make things difficult for stefan-compatibilty mods.
I'll explain more when AJ puts more mag pics up. (I have no camera, so i can't do it)
#230097 Nerf Office Antics
Posted by Chaos-blades on 13 May 2009 - 09:42 PM in General Nerf
But i do have plenty of school nerf stories.
Once before a huge war we made permission slips and got everyone out of class just to nerf.
The teachers didn't know what SANO 06 was but they let us all out anyway.
Good times

Aaah, when i was young and nooby *nostalgia*

#261516 Longstrike Cs-6 Revealed
Posted by Chaos-blades on 11 January 2010 - 06:40 PM in General Nerf
We wouldn't expect anything less of you.I have my ways.
After eyeballing it for a while, I must admit it's safe to say that I will eventually do something to it.
Something of biblical proportions.
Even if I have to rip out all of its guts and replace everything.
This gun would sell well in Aus, we've got a lot of people that frequent our little forum who buy guns based on looks. They paint them black, put on a real fire-arm scope & are very shocked and offended when they are being criticized for it.
#255758 Long Strike Commercial?!
Posted by Chaos-blades on 08 November 2009 - 11:44 PM in General Nerf
I severely doubt that there would be longstrike commercials out this soon when the release date is next year some time.
It's probably a case that your friend is getting the -shot - strike thing WRONG. Just like many others will do in the weeks, months & years to come. It will cause a lot of confusion, anger and frustration.
Person 1 - "Longstrikes available here!" Person 2 - " *Facepalms* Uh, dude, that's a longshot, Fckin 'tard-burger"

#296027 Japanese Earthquake/tsunami
Posted by Chaos-blades on 14 March 2011 - 08:58 PM in Off Topic
Maybe leading up to 2012 there'll be enough quakes that a day will last an hour and we'll all be crushed by the immense gravity. Nooooooo lolDamn! that's 1.8 less milliseconds that could be used for nerfing.
.0000018 seconds to be percise. What on earth are we going to do by losing such an immense interval of time? The world must be ending...
#296025 Japanese Earthquake/tsunami
Posted by Chaos-blades on 14 March 2011 - 08:41 PM in Off Topic
Exerpt - "A new analysis of the 8.9-magnitude earthquake in Japan has found that the intense temblor has accelerated Earth's spin, shortening the length of the 24-hour day by 1.8 microseconds,"Earth's day length shortened by Japan earthquake
Click here to read the article.
Damn! that's 1.8 less milliseconds that could be used for nerfing.
Someone asked about Australia, we're fine but apparently there are roughly 11,000 Aussies in Japan, roughly 1000 of which were in/near Sendai. The Australian News headlines are "Earthquake in Japan, the lives of 11,000 Aussies at risk" (and then 5 minutes later it's like) "And some Japanese are missing too".
Man I hate the media.
Apparently Australia is going to benefit from this, economically speaking, Japan is one of our biggest exports for metals and whatever for building.
(We also sell Uranium to them )
#240928 I Call It... The Predator.
Posted by Chaos-blades on 08 July 2009 - 10:34 PM in Modifications
I might call it "Extinction" just to spite you.Well then in that case, you can call it "The Prey".
Here's a thought, Call it Alien. You know so you get Alien, Predator, Extinction.
Nah that's a bad idea.
Great work, i didn't think the titan could get more Badass but you did it.
#286661 How To Make A Nitemav/mavfinder That Actually Works

A well worded, easy to follow writeup.
Makes me feel like doing a spectre-finder / nite-spectre down the track.
#289323 Gyrostabilization Module
Posted by Chaos-blades on 28 November 2010 - 09:31 PM in Modifications
On topic: Definitely agree on the high-effort low-gain result but it's a good little idea.
#326177 Firestrike Mod Overview
Posted by Chaos-blades on 31 January 2013 - 04:57 AM in Modifications
Not really sure why a minimisation is needed, it fits pretty easy in a pocket or holster. To each his own I guess.
That said, I like that you kept the other peices from the light/ammo holder rather than leave the open space.
Good work,
CB
#237919 Expand A Blast On A Budget
Posted by Chaos-blades on 22 June 2009 - 12:03 AM in Modifications
I searched and found thisI've fucking had it. No one ever said Expand a Blast's suck. In fact there is a mod for one that CX did years back. You can even see him using it in one of the Armageddon video's. I don't know how you get this shit into your head.
The part that says"This gun should not be bought" is a bit disappointing.
I personally like the EaB, the one i used was good until there were too many rubberbands/bungies attached and it broke.
Back on topic: i like this mod, and love the paint job!
