You mean just cutting it? Then puting some barbed fittings there? What exactly do you mean?

I'm not sure but I've heard of people using the springs from pens. Specifically BIC pens.

#146767 Connecting Tubing

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 24 March 2008 - 11:22 PM in Modifications

Ok, this was my first attempt at extending an air tube on a AT2K. Stupidly, I cut right where the end of the yellow(stock) tubing was. I believe many of you do something like this when you remove the goo gauge thought. My question is, how did you guys connect your tubing. I can't use tubing connectors because I cut too short on the stock tubing.
Sorry for the crappy pic:

Help is appreciated!
Thanks

I did try and search but I'm not exactly sure what to type in because this is a very vague question.

#146897 Connecting Tubing

Thanks for the help everyone!

Edit:
Sorry but how do I get off the yellow tubing after I have tooken off the nut? I tried puling it off with pliers but no luck. I think, though not sure, it is glued on.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

Barbed couplers, or just unscrew the compression fitting nut on the part.

I'm assuming the compression fitting is the black peice, although how did you get it off? I believe they glued it on. Should I try to pry it off with a flat head screwdriver?

#153302 A Quick Question On Pricing...

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 26 April 2008 - 08:14 PM in General Nerf

Manta's are worth about 40$. I'm not sure about any of the other ones.

#193868 Quick Q

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 03 December 2008 - 09:13 PM in General Nerf

Sm750's vary, but generally are from 10$-25$. LB's, I wouldn't pay more than 30$, more around 15-20$ though. Wildfires are weird, on ebay I've seen them sold for 50$ in some cases, and other cases 15$. So I'd sayd yeah around 20-30$.

#153226 Remote Controlled Cars..

I like getting the ones from TRU and then smashing them with my friends. Basically we just use the cars to run into each other. You should try it someone.

#157522 Lnl Plunger Head Problems.

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 31 May 2008 - 12:46 AM in Modifications

I had the same problem but it was on my crossbow. I used epoxy putty and it's holding great. I've had it on now for about 3 weeks and it's still perfect. Just make sure you have the right spring and everything before you epoxy putty it. That stuff dries rock hard.

I'm pretty sure that most of those are just scams to get your information, so they can send you crap. I wouldn't do it.

#206733 Marvelouse Salvo Help?

Is the pump plugged? Also, it ussually takes a while, at least for me, to fill the three tanks. My first one didn't take so long though. Good luck with it.

#153184 Shopping Sites

I ussually use ebay, and sell big items, like guitars, on craigslist. I sell more expensive things locally on craigslist. Ebay is where I like to "shop" though and look around for items.

I remember reading a question about this and someone said to "Rip that shit out" or something. Which is what I did, it actually worked. All I did was pull the two halves apart. Not as clean as hacksawing but much funner.

#152832 Quick Smdtg Question

I used 4" because I wanted to cut the brass in 3 equal sections. This weekend I'll try out 3" and see how that compares to it.

I used four inches in mine and get pretty good results.

When I get mine from DBeaver, I'm probably going to put like a 750 or 1500 in it. Never thought of puting a snap in it, though it sounds like it could work.

Good find, how much did it cost?

#209124 Maxblitz

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 02 February 2009 - 10:53 PM in Modifications

Over the last few months I've only been experimenting with air guns. Untill I found the Maxshot, I really disliked springers. Anyway, I was looking for a gun with good RoF and the MS has that. Then I just wanted to add something that gave it that extra umph. Originally I had planned to use an Arachnaphobia pistol under the maxshot but after 2 failed triggers, I gave up that. In the future I'll probably be adding a Marvelous Salvo to this thing, just to make it more beastly.

Here's the gun, pretty simple:
Posted Image

Basically just do everything like normal. Pump the LB while holding the handle of the LB and then pump. Prime the Maxshot the normal way. The LB also has a piece of velcro on the side of it. It's for a pencil that velcro's on to act as a thing to push the darts down the LB barrel. The barrels on both guns are solid, as in completely straight. Maxshot is hitting around 75 feet, but that was in 30 degree weather a couple weks ago. By summer it will be up more I'm guessing. The LB is around 60-70 feet as a shotgun spread.

Another pic:
Posted Image

I really only posted this because it was something unique and different. Also the fact that I haven't posted a mod in like 4 months. Anyway, like I said, I'll be getting a Marvelous salvo on there in the near future. Hope you enjoyed.

#161083 Question About Air Guns

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 01 July 2008 - 01:26 PM in Modifications

On my first smdtg I pulled out the springs and it would not hold air. But I think it was somthing I did wrong.
And yes you can buy cupplers at ace, lowes, homedepo.

'Cupplers'...ok....

Anyway, they are called tubing connectors and I find all of mine at Home Depot in the irrigation section. I use 1/4 OD. I'm not sure about the springs inside of the tubing but I think saxynerfer is right about them. Also, I wouldn't bother with them unless you want to extend the tubing.

Thanks for all the input guys, I think I'll buy some silicone spray or grease.

#144184 Spidey Dtg

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 07 March 2008 - 01:02 AM in Modifications

Ok guys, a few months back I bought a SMDTG set, and opened up one of the blasters, and did the normal mods to it. But, this gun is noticably harder to pump than the gun I have not opened up. Is this because I need to lube up around the pump? If so, I read that silicone based is the best and not to use Jigaloo slicone spray. Are there any exact brand name recomendations for my SMDTG?

Any help is appreciated!

#144268 Spidey Dtg

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 07 March 2008 - 09:57 PM in Modifications

O-ring lubricant at the hardware store in the plumbing section. It comes in a blue container. You can see what the container looks like in the LNL video. Silicone spray lubricants have given me alot of problems.

I'll take your word for it and not get the silicone spray, and I'll check out that video for the lubricant.
Thanks.

Stop posting about a gun you don't have. Vegetable oil just makes it smell, and isn't worth the pain. If you pumped the plug, its going to be a bitch to pump. Unplugging it will help. Mine now has a leak because of pumping it too much because I didn't know how much to pump it. I'm trying to double barrel it, but things aren't working out.

I don't like the SMDTB's that much, they are ok for a backup, but who even uses a sidearm that much?

Um, if the first sentence was directed to me, I do have the gun. Also I didn't pump the plug because I'm not so sure about how to do that on this gun(I don't normally work with air guns). The SMDTG's are for an integration I'm planning as opposed to a sidearm.

For the record Captain, the Venom one does look way more badass then the Spider Man one.

Alright, thanks for the advice keef. Also, vegatable oil doesn't sound like the kind of item you would want to use in a nerf gun. That is unless you were cooking it. :D

#154149 Opening The Sawtooth?

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 01 May 2008 - 04:06 PM in Modifications

I bought one (a sawtooth) from poo a while back, and asked him how to get it off. The best way to do so is get a flathead screwdriver and bend two of the three tabs inside the metal rod in the orange handles. There have also been a few topics about this. Like this one and this one.

#149574 Plunger Tubes

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 05 April 2008 - 10:36 PM in Modifications

I'm doing a mod like Dayko's and KBarker's Nitefinders. I was wondering if anyone else has a method of combining two NF plunger tubes. I tried Dayko's method and couldn't get the plunger tubes completely straight. If I tried moving the plunger rod inside of the tube then it would constantly stop or get stuck at the point where I tried glueing the two tubes together. Or does anyone know of a material that could be used to replace the tube. I read that KBarker used Petg, but what was the diameter? Also, does anyone know if PVC would work as a replacement or possibly brass? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

#149593 Plunger Tubes

Posted by ChiliPepperFender on 06 April 2008 - 12:38 AM in Modifications

If you get the right size of brass it would be great for holding the two plunger tubes together like a sheath.
I can say from experience that brass is tough to adhere too. But if you sand it properly and use fishin glue it will work.

I remember reading somewhere that you got fishin glue from a Bass Pro Shops, but when I was down in Las Vegas, I couldn't find any. Is there any other place to get fishin glue? Also, I may do that brass idea, thanks for the help.
